Hi all.
It’s really great to see so many new people joining up! I really want to make sure you all get the gameplay experience you want, so please take a few minutes to read the below.
It’s so important that you take the time to understand how my mod works to ensure you’re getting the most out of it, so I just want quickly make everyone aware of some very important things.
These are absolutely ESSENTIAL.
✅1. A standalone is an ALL-IN-ONE gameplay mod! It is ‘plug and play’. You need to start by just selecting one standalone and that’s all - no options, no combinations, just the standalone. I cannot stress how important this is.
Refer to the GENERAL FEATURES pdf inside the download for a general breakdown of what’s included inside the standalone. Remember, the standalone builds every release also.
View the QUICK APPROACH GUIDE pdf inside the download, for a breakdown on the best way to approach my mod.
✅2. The difference between each standalone is primarily MOVEMENT DIFFERENCES and PASS SPEEDS. Please refer to the STANDALONE DIFFERENCES pdf for a detailed breakdown as there are some important considerations.
✅3. ONLY look to add options AFTER you have played the standalone for an extended period and have developed some REFERENCE POINTS. Otherwise, why are you changing things from the way the mod is designed before you have even tried it?
This applies for MIDFIELD PLUS+ as well. MIDFIELD PLUS+ is designed to create a specific experience, but it’s not going to be suited to everyone. Don’t just add options over the top expecting this to change. If it isn’t designed for you, then simply don’t use it!
Remember - due to the differences in movement balances, you can get different behaviours simply from changing the standalone only.
✅4. There is a ‘READ ME’ txt file (or PDF) inside EVERY option folder. If you are going to add options (or follow someone else’s combination, then you MUST read these to understand the impact that each option will have on your gameplay. Again, I cannot stress the importance of this.
✅5. Difficulty is created through BALANCE. I’m seeing way too many people using conflicting options and then just adding more and more options over the top to try and find balance. This is the opposite of what you should be doing. You need to be REDUCING options. For example, adding MF+ and then using an Advanced Passing System option together, then wondering why the CPU isn’t attacking how you want them to, and then adding attacking options is THE WRONG APPROACH! TRUST ME ON THIS!
✅6. The WORST thing I see is when people who are new to the mod are throwing together these elaborate combinations without a foundational understanding of how the mod works. Please guys, the details matter - and I’ve covered EVERYTHING you could possibly think of inside the documentation. Take time to explore these.
✅7. The information inside the download is thorough and will help you. It covers everything you could need. It is essential to understand how the mod works and specific details. I want you to have the gameplay experience you want, so please use the information and take away the guess work.
🛑EXPRESS NOTES AND CONSIDERATIONS pdf is something you should REGULARLY REFER BACK TO. You don’t need to remember it all - use it to refer back to. It is an extensive guide to help you with everything.
✅7. Trust the information inside the download more than the advice you recieve from someone in the discord. This isn’t about ego, it’s about detail and about getting you closer to the experience you want.
Thanks guys - enjoy!
