Progress Update - May (Patreon)

Hello everyone, long time no see! I've been working on both Android Life and Flat Injustice this month. I think I mentioned that Flat Injustice would be ready within three months, but since AL takes priority, it'll probably take a little longer.

My plan for AL is to relaunch the game and gradually improve it over time. That's why this update is taking so long. I need to remake all the sprites and redo the main animations from scratch. As you can see above, I'm already reworking Emily's locker scene. The next update is supposed to reach that point.

I've taken the time to remake Emily's sprite, although there are still three more left to do (or two if I keep Laura's, since hers is one of the most recently updated ones).

I've also been reworking some CGs that I know will be used, like this one of Jojo (which is now more faithful to the original panel). I'm still undecided on whether to simply remake all the scenes or completely change some of them. I already have a few older sketches that could work, with the goal of changing how some characters are originally introduced.

On the less exciting side of things, I've also been modeling some buildings to give the game more personality and make it feel more open from the start. It's a fairly tedious process, so I'm working on it slowly.

That's all for now. I still have a lot to do, so the update won't be ready next month unless you'd prefer a lighter version focused only on the new animated scenes so you can play something sooner... I might do that for patrons anyway, as a way to tease the progress.

Also, in my next post (the sneak peek), you'll be able to see part of Flat Injustice's progress. I keep adding new things, so development has expanded a bit, but more on that later. See you soon, bye!
