Jolien, the Sunrise & the Beach Shower

You’ve seen the photographs. Here’s the morning that went into them.

Jolien, a sunrise, a flying tank top and a beach shower that was considerably colder than it looked.

I was very pleased with the light coming through the water. Less pleased with the prickly bushes I had to crawl into to photograph it. A small detail the finished pictures conveniently leave out.

This is the behind the scenes from the sunrise and shower part of our shoot, filmed from the tripod and the closer GoPro viewpoint. You can follow the directions, the little adjustments and the conversations between the photographs.

Jolien and I speak Dutch throughout. Consider it a language lesson with a slightly unusual dress code. 😉

Ya habéis visto las fotos. Ahora os enseño la mañana que hubo detrás.

Jolien, un amanecer, una camiseta de tirantes por los aires y una ducha de playa bastante más fría de lo que parecía.

Yo estaba encantado con la luz atravesando el agua. Algo menos con los arbustos que pinchaban y entre los que tuve que meterme para fotografiarla. Un pequeño detalle que las fotos finales tienen la amabilidad de ocultar.

Este es el detrás de cámaras de la parte del amanecer y la ducha, grabado desde el trípode y desde el punto de vista más cercano de la GoPro. Podéis seguir las indicaciones, los pequeños ajustes y las conversaciones entre foto y foto.

Jolien y yo hablamos en neerlandés durante toda la sesión. Podéis tomároslo como una clase de idiomas con un código de vestimenta un poco peculiar. 😉
