Shippuden is relentless with its epic battles. Lost Itachi and Jiraiya on the same day! Also, note how Iruka supported Naruto, while Madara influenced Sasuke during their lowest points, shaping their divergent paths in the series, creating rivalry between these two characters yet again. Goated writing!!

I dunno, shippuden lost its appeal for me after a certain point, Sasuke vs Itachi is by far the best part in the series for me and Itachi is my favorite character in all of Naruto.

I can understand that, I think shippuden lost me during the war arc but I blame the horrible filler placements. Nowadays I think it's fine but Itachi was my goat

Most of this three arc section is just peak writing. Some episodes have dips, but overall it doesn't get much better than this in anime. If the show ended with the conclusion of the Pain arc, I would have been fine with that.

i kinda do get your point. but dont lie to me, and say that the following arcs are not peak, and close to the pain arc. sure, pain arc might be the best on this anime, but the kage summit and war arc are good too, and have some moments that are arguably better than what pain arc has. might be just me

Yes definitely the fillers, and Naruto had a lot of great characters before the time skip, feel like they scrapped a lot of those characters and things got too crazy, became like a different show

No it’s not good overall. There’s a couple good standouts (kakashi, pain etc) but for the most part the voices aren’t that great and they can’t pronounce Japanese names for shit even HUNDREDS of episodes in. Plus Naruto’s dub voice is just straight up bad.

I can't wait to see the full pain arc, I'd love to have had it come out all at once but I get why you're not doing it that way. I think what I'ma do is watch it all as it comes out, and then maybe go through it again once all EPs are released so I can binge it. Lowkey I do that anyways, I've seen this show a million times but I love going back and binging it watching reactors.

Actually, I watch it while I eat, before I go to work. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean someone else doesn't. Sure, I woulda liked to binge it, but it's better than waiting a week. I think it'd be cool if they maybe picked up some of the shows that lost polls (Like Steins;gate) and maybe did them as 1 EP daily or 2 every 2 days in a similar release schedule to the pain arc.
