Eric

Peak piece

Mo

Peak

Dante_blayde

I just realized that you'll be able to see the shorter fishman island instead of the old version

SUN

this is what we call PEAK

Chrono_Punk

One piece is my favourite anime of all time, nothing makes me laugh like it, nothing makes me cry like it. This moved me in ways i haven't been in a LONG time. Fan letter is the perfect name for this because it's exactly what it is. I've never personally reached out to animators or whoever would be best to see this sort of praise to make sure it's more than appriciated but i think if you're a fan of OP then we need to actively reach out and let them know how incredible this is and that we NEED more. I fucking loved this

Kouzen

After watching this with you, I can't wait for you to reach Wano, it's gonna be insane

Ethan

This was genuinely one of the most beautiful and entertaining episodes of anything I’ve ever watched. It felt like a love letter to us the fans seeing all the other straw hats and marine ford and all that. All around this was a masterclass episode

Cyrill Attakpah

as i watched this episode today i am just in disbelief ... because apparently a lot of people are just dumbasses .. they watch that episode and despite the title, they think its a filler and write stuff like "how lame" .. where i watched it it got 3/5 vote .. wtf .. those angry anime only watchers that cant stand that the anime is going on break for 6 months .. pathetic to hate on this masterpiece just cause you are angry.

Trznk

Let’s fucking goooo!

ignorantWeed

I didnt expect it to be this good

shlumlord

first time a man had me on my knees

Normadus

damn, decent filler episode 3/10

Lugga

YOU ARE WATCHING WINDBREAKER?!

Soof

The animator is Megumi Ishitani, she’s really talented and u will see more of her One piece work in the future, she’s amazing, she is also the same animator as the new one piece opening 26 “Uuuuus”!! It’s also directed by Megumi and Nanami Michibata!! They worked with the artist Nagisa Nishida!! Masami Mori is also a very talented animator who worked on animating this with Megumi!! Other animators such as Vincent Chansard, Hayashi yuki, Kojima, Aoki, and Shirashi worked on it as well. They all worked hard on making this, hopefully they receive back the greatest praising from the One piece fanbase

Cyrill Attakpah

i watched this episode like 10 hours ago .. so i was excited for nicks reaction .. now i watched it, left a comment and somehow the reaction started again .. i couldnt bring myself to pause it so i watched it again xD

Yuan Wen

Viewing parts of the Marinford war from the perspective of a normal marine soldier is actually terrifying... It's an ant walking alongside some dancing elephants.

ISHOWNUT

ALL HAIL ODA. I think One Piece is the pinnacle of all anime. no one can compete with it. This is anime of the year wait no no. This anime of the decade

Khitar_B!

the end brought tears to my eyes. I'm so happy I was born in one piece era

Akai Ki
>>152865306

I watched the fan letter episode that one piece put out Great story in that 1 episode. But for me. Personally, I hate this art style. I hate it. It's not sharp enough, everything's so rounded and soft It feels like they're doing the same thing to one piece that they did to Pokémon a few years back but not quite to the same extent And I know people are gonna hate me for saying this but I don't care this new animation style kind of gives me AI vibes a little bit like AI is animating it, but I know AI is NOT animating it. It's people, that ARE animating it but it just gives me those AI Animation vibes. And I just personally, I don't like the art style. They really should go back to the wano art style. Not the clothes but the art style everything was so sharp and defined and crisp. Or go back to the art style before wano Yeah this new artstyle has really good fluid animation but like I said everything is to rounded and soft looking

Laura Alonso

For us who are caught up, we were not expecting this amazing episode especially after Oda announced the hiatus. Blown away

Vincent S Deluca
>>152866596

Thats fine its your right to not like the art style they chose, to each their own. I for one love it cause it has so much character to it.

Kimetsu
>>152866596

@Ruben You may have missed "But for me, personally" don't be a cunt unable to argue with someone

Iron_claw
>>152866596

That's fine. You can think I have the worst take ever. But if you said that this animation style was better than the animation style in wano I would say you have the worst take ever, but I'm also allowed to say that. Your allowed to have your opinions. And I'm allowed to have my opinions as well.

The Shiz

Was a masterful magical experience can't wait for the restart of fishman next week gonna be epic

꧁Coltonius Maximus꧂
>>152866596

I love this animation style, its actually really beautiful. I'd have to say if your main issue with it is that it reminds you of AI, you should at least know that the style has been around since way before AI, so while the comparison is semi-understandable, try not to compare cause AI is relatively new but these guys have been doing this since before we were born, thats all skill, and this style is actually very difficult, so comparing it to AI is kinda a slap in the face to all the hard work that actually goest into it, and you can easily tell the difference between a work that has a lot of effort vs some AI generated crap, like seriously I've never seen an AI work that I couldn't immediately tell was AI, its always very obvious, just like its very obvious that this episode was not a single bit AI and was all passion and hard work

YellowboyRickLee

What a treat this is! Can't wait for Fish-Man Island arc remake!

YellowboyRickLee

One Piece's current arc animation is not quite on the level of this fan letter, but not far off, it currently has one of the best if not the best animation in anime, you're in for a treat once you get to Wano!

YannickWega

Can you react to the duet of Yuuri and Zarame? [the last my hero ending] I think you will orgasm 😂

novak

10/10 This makes koby speech to akainu more valuable and let's you understand that every one of soldier has a life like these 2 brother and it adds so much value to all of them. Really loved this shit.

Jean26732

In french sub when Little Nami see fake Nami she call her fat-nami

Jean26732

The speech about double dosage of one piece, 1000% right

정명

DID HE SAY GO WATCH TOWER OF GOD??? WHAT DID IT EVEN DO TO YOU??? BRO IS SO RACIST TO KOREANS

Meunji

Just subs to patreon just to watch this reaction. Man one piece is just too good.

Iron_claw
>>152866596

Really go ahead and tell me they didn't make everyone. Look 5 years younger and round their faces off. Instead Of the defined sharper features that we used to see.

Rachel_Roo34

Blown away by how amazing this short film is! I wonder if Wit remakes pre timeskip, and Toei remasters post timeskip. With them saving Marineford for last. Imagine watching Marineford like how this was done 🤯

원 지

this is why onepiece no.1

Kenneth Mayer

Is he going to be watching the remade Fishman Island or the original? I’ve been out of the loop

Cameron Sunken

This was absolutely beautiful. Cannot wait for you to reach Wano and Egghead to see more animation like this.

Kaarius 3
>>152893413

he said hes watching the original and might watch the remake on the side

Sora

If the one piece animators make more stuff like this during the hiatus that would be amazing. even if they were half the length of this I would be happy.

CrystalSnow

This is just a FRACTION of what One Piece looks right now. It's absolutely stunning. I was a One Piece anime fan for 10+ years already and I've watched how my favorite characters grow both in the story and animation. How OP looking right now in is indescribable. Every episode is like a Ghibli movie. There was times when I wasn't crazy about an anime episode but NOW? Ohh, every episode is just a party. I understand why they want to take a break and I fully support it

Mo
>>152885583

I hope you’re joking and I’m not getting it

원 지
>>152885583

What do you mean, brother? I'm Korean, but tog Anime is trash

Kevin Brown

How far into one piece to be able to watch this ? I just started the show recently 🤣

Juuhjooh

Guys go give this a 10 rating on myanimelist, show them the power of OP fans.

CrystalSnow
>>152916306

Why are you even here if you think that this is bad? Go find a life, a job and finally do something useful in your life. I don't need your pity, I've had a time of my life with One piece for all those years. You think you cool and smart - but you're just a stupid kid who'll never have enough brain capacity to understand that he's wrong

Rythm_

Seeing wits remake, I assume Toei wants to reanimte post time skip arcs while wit will do till pre time skip. It's gonna take a lot of time for wit to animate so meanwhile Toei will refine their product so it doesn't go out of market. Anyways it's a win for Op fans. ❤️

정명
>>152885583

How is it bad? Explain? Do you even know what you're saying

victoria t

I love that they gave the nami fangirl the nami angry face 🤣🤣

Snick

this is a short masterpiece, I didn't expect it from this episode ngl, but man it was amaaaazing!

Dajana

It's beautiful and I love it

MOGOL Roli

Megumi Ishitani: The best number 1 anime director of the decade so far! Period! Hands down!

Iron_claw
>>152866596

@juuhjooh I don't think I like you or most of Nick's fan base You're all stuck up assholes. you can never respectfully disagree and say you know, I disagree. No, instead, you're all assholes about it.

Iron_claw
>>152866596

@seth Williams Black clover is better than bleach in every single way. And I'm so. Sorry that I discuss you and that you never want me to watch anything ever again. Not go fuck yourself, bitch. I'm allowed to have my own fucking opinions. You're allowed to disagree with me, but don't be an asshole about it.

Lost

Im so sorry you have to go back to Fishamn Island after this lol

Vailing Bow

Haha no, not Chopper. That's Toei animation's mascot/logo. Also, it would be cool when One Piece ends and in one of its anniversaries they make a fan letter part 2 about this girl again and that marine brothers at the end and how their life was impacted when Luffy found the One Piece and the eventual Final War as well. Also, the little girl's voice isn't Chopper's it's Sarada's from Boruto.

Vailing Bow

And to think like 24 hours after they release this episode it's already number 2 in MAL, like damn!

Vailing Bow
>>152916306

No need to feel pity, lol. I pity your negativity and needing to bring others down along with you. He along with tons of other people love this show Mattie, and this episode is currently sitting in the number 2 spot on MAL along with tons of latest episodes being rated high.

Vailing Bow
>>152866596

Sounds more like you don't like the art style, not animation. They're different things. Animation's great.

Vailing Bow
>>152858423

They such a minority. It's number 2 on MAL just below Free Eren and above AoT.

Yoshi

Nick, trust when i say, Egghead will not disappoint. The animation is like out of this world!

Cyrill Attakpah
>>152858423

on the website i first saw it, it currently has a 3/5 star rating with 857 votes .. that is just sad

Shawn Krick-Smith

Nick, they showed the first 10 min of the reanimated Fishman Island arc at NYCC during the One Piece panel and it is INCREDIBLE

Hamad Panzer

Is Oda the G telling us the Strawhat Pirates living among us, but we didnt noticed them ?

Kojiro

Sarada's voice actor?

Totenkreuz
>>153036176

Sad that One Piece fans are not just upvoting but also brigading to take down Frieren. It's a bit pathetic.

KaitouKay1412
>>153013892

i mean at least he just got to Fishman Island right before this remake was released. He can experience that too to compare

Bj Howe

They did such a good job with this. Was smiling the whole way through.

kazu_art_park

NAMIIIIIIII~!! Soooo emotional...

Jeanne S.

Absolute masterpiece!
