So it doesn’t seem like you read comments, but I’ll reiterate my last comment for you anyway. It’s not a love triangle, the sister DOES NOT want to have feelings for kirito. She’s a young girl who’s confused about her feelings that “kind of?” Gets explored later because they were inseparable when they were younger, then he ghosted her, then he got trapped in SAO. Anyway, she DOES NOT WANT feelings for kirito. Every action she takes is to try to escape feelings that everyone knows is not okay. There’s no justifying them, there is no positive enforcement of them in anyway. It’s supposed to be tragic

Season 2 a bit of a bump, but it wraps up nicely imo, and leads to the better seasons anyway so your right it definitely feels like a detour

season 2 is really good but somehow has the worst rating on MAL, it's definitely better than the entire second half of S1

This is the worst arc of the Series, but its not terrible and has aged a bit better in the context of the later seasons. But for years it was regarded just as trash because Gigguk and other creators said so, same with the Fate Series, Gigguk made a joke that it was confusing and its really not as bad as he said. Lots of people refuse to watch Fate just because they think its uncomprehendable

She wasn't blushing about her brother, she doesn't even know her brother is Kirito. He didn't share with her his trauma from inside SAO yet. Also she is blushing about the other guy who Yui just pointed out clearly likes her.

Suguha realized that her feelings for her brother were a problem as soon as she learned about Asuna and saw how much she meant to Kirito, and that helped keep her in line. At this point in the story, she's essentially falling in love with him all over again when she's already started to move on, not knowing that it's her brother. No ill will or pressure over the tiny details, but it is harder to pay full attention when commentating as consistently as you do so I hope that little explanation helps at least a little bit. This second half of the story is weirdly beautiful. Excited for the next one :)

This is the disadvantages of waiting week per episode you have absolutely no idea what's happening. I'm not saying this to be impatient im just stating facts on alot of shows you react to. I've noticed this more amd more recently. Maybe tone it down and finish a few series before adding more? Idk you do you, I still enjoy your reactions

If you can handle this arc, you should enjoy the rest of the series. Obviously has its ups and downs like most shows, but I genuinelly think its a good anime overall. Still, I don't think anyone wants to force you to watch it. Maybe its not your cup of tea. Thanks for your awesome reactions Nick!!

Yeah you caught it Nick she doesn’t know Kirito is her brother and is starting to like him (his character) as she realized her feelings for her brother were wrong especially with his clear love for Asuna also at the start of the ep when she blushed it was bc kirito asked about her classmate the guy with green hair (Recon) but yk things will clear up the more you watch glad ur enjoying it

Petition for Nick to skip the Excalibur arc which is 3 episodes long in season 2 ep. 15-17. This arc is the most hated arc in the sword art online community, it adds absolutely NOTHING to the story and you will wanna to slice your throat watching it. When you get to S2 pls skip it it's just a waste of time for both you and the viewers or at least make a poll🙏

It's not the Excalibur arc that's the most hated, I've personally seen more hate for this part of SAO. People tend to like everything else besides Alfheim part 1.

Looking back at all of Nicks likes on SAO reactions- you can tell that SAO is really popular with most his viewers. The silent majority. They get even more likes than One Piece reactions. Tells you a lot and business wise it wouldn’t be the best move to drop it. I watched through the whole SAO, S2 is not the best arc, but I enjoyed everything start to end, regardless. I mean if people enjoy Solo leveling with its paper thin story; this series as a whole is already miles better.

she's really just confused. She's know her feelings are wrong so when she meets him in the game she thinks she found someone that she could love and get over her feelings for kirito. The incest thing isnt forced because shes really trying to get over it because she knows it wrong.

sadly suguha is the most understood character in this show, there is no love triagnle, she doesnt even want to like him. She is just confused, she thought he was her brother, she thought he was going to die both of them wanted to get closer since he woke up because they were distant and only after kirito was stuck she learned that he isnt her real brother

I've watched SAO a couple of times but I just caught that Asuna could see through the censoring of the gate PIN because she saw it through a reflection. Bit of a bug in the game there, and it makes thematic sense, they are not good enough to make the system themselves and are just making modifications on top of the original Cardinal system. Pretty good foreshadowing for what happens later.

Your thinking about the love triangle with sugu involved is the reason most people drop SAO. The unnecessary aspects of the pushed relationship between kirito and other female characters aside from asuna.
