Hey, I really think *The Eminence in Shadow* is a show where you should watch like four episodes together, or something in that range. To have all the context, and it's also more enjoyable because it's always a build-up to something.

2026-09-06 19:00 As a fan of eminence in shadow, there are some episodes where I could care less on, they are basically filler episodes. And this specific anime isn’t at the level of hype as other anime’s like Naruto, attack on titan, or one piece. However for isekai, it’s up there. A lot of people don’t understand this show and that’s ok. But I do recommend watching a video explaining the episode after watching it to better understand what’s going on.

Just watch it by arc For example: Episodes 1-3 Arc 1 Episodes 4-7 Arc 2 Episode 8 (most wild filler I’ve ever seen in my life) Episodes 9-12 Arc 3 Then each week, youll be more excited to watch a full arc and be done within 3 weeks. Then thats it for eminence in shadow.

Nick, I think the issue you have with this show is that it is primarily a bit of a satire of the Isekai genre (which you've only dipped your toes into thus far). I also do think that this show is suffering from the same issue you had with Season 1 of Solo Leveling, with ppl hyping it up and it being not what you were expecting. Edit: And in my opinion, reactions to this show should have been binged in 3-4 episode bursts rather than 1 per week. But if you do drop it, PLEASE DO MORE MADE IN ABYSS
