Nick, this is not coming from a place of hostility, I really enjoy your content so I'm here on Patreon. This reaction was not the best reaction I have seen this season of JJK from you. You look away while also speaking over maybe some relevant dialogue, sure you skipped the Tengen dialogue that's fine you can read it later or not, doesn't matter too much to me, there's just some character dialogue that get's skipped when you look away. During the last scenes with Yuji and Higuruma's fight is where I felt this the most. Do with it what you will it just took my enjoyment out a bit as a viewer who wants you to be a bit more engaged/focused on the show, maybe I'm alone in this, or in a minority but that's how I felt. I understand you can't cater to everyone and that's also valid. Just my personal feedback, no hate, just a smudge of disappointment in this specific reaction. And yes, if someone wants to come and say just don't watch then, it's valid, it's my choice at the end of the day. And maybe I won't watch if I don't enjoy the content regularly, but at the same time I can also voice my opinion.

I'm sorry if it came across as judgemental. It's just my subjective opinion too, I never said he needs to direct a reaction. Looking away from the screen for long periods during somewhat crucial moments I believe is not a part of the actual reaction. I also believe his reaction is genuine, but even he I think has said in the past that he tries to entertain which could lead to what I mention, not that it's fake, just exaggerated and it works, he's one of the best reactors on the platform, and it's his choice to do it how he wishes to and I'm not saying he needs to change something because just one viewer like me said so. It's just my opinion. And I still did like parts of the reaction. Just not all of it.

Yeah i agree with you because when i watch reaction Channels i of course want them to react to the animation but also the story line, jjk has such an amazing and deep plot and storyline for its characters, saying this is totally fair, and this doesent only benefit us i would think it would benefit nick aswell cause connecting the plot together and seeing who comes from what family tree and who has had a sad upbringing is really fun atleast from my perspective. but if he atleast goes back and listens to what they say even for a couple of minutes after he stops recording is enough for me

Nobody is talking sh"t about JJK's production (animation, ost etc etc), that part is untouchable. The lackluster part about it is the story/writing. Gege is average at best when it comes to writing and actually doing things with characters / story plots (I won't explain here bcs I don't want to spoil you/ppl). So yeah, it comes out as a fight only anime which makes it overrated (but I still like it a lot, ppl online just seems to care about animation, it's even worse on twitter)

I do agree that ppl mostly care about the animation, which is sad, but I don't agree that Gege is a bad author. Season 1 content of jjk is def just inspiration after inspiration from naruto and bleach and other shows but after that it does find it's own footing with its storytelling and one of the best things to come out of jjk is the writing for Maki. I do recommend reading a thread created on March 13, 2023 about Maki made by @Twunkelitest, which does have manga spoilers, cuz the thread highlights how damn well Gege wrote the characters for Maki, Mai, and Naoya. Gege has fucked up many parts of jjk but overall the story has strong writing and great choreography especially during the Culling Games arc and afterwards. Those are just my thoughts and you can disagree with em if you want to.

excep one of the best animation and gojo vs sukuna, its 99% generic shonen. After Naruto, HxH and Rurouni Kenshin, every new shonen isnt special and cant have a place of they own, there is no space, no chair to stay down with us at the table, and ofc nothing from big 3 + dbz + older masterpieces will stand up for jjk, csm or ds to take a chair

I love Nick, I really do i pay for YouTube membership and patreon but not gonna lie it annoyed me just a bit that he has not yet said Higaruma's name correctly yet despite many showings of its spelling and pronunciation, not a stab at him or anything I love his content and gladly pay for it but it just makes me weirdly upset I guess, but beside that and my goated episode cannot wait till they animate Hakari vs Kashimo probably next cour.
