Ram is more annoying now, especially compared to s2 Ram, because she's had a full year of realizing her "little" sister is trapped in a coma and doesn't see a way to save her. She doesn't crack jokes any more. She's still loves and values Subaru. Note how she stood up to the horse monster. But she's always in a bad mood and can't snap out of it. IOW, faced with a unsolvable problem, she's started to lash out.

The manga is only up to arc 5. The source, the LNs is up to Arc *9* and the author says the LNs are around the half-way point. that was a while ago so it's probably more like 60% done. Note. The later arcs are LONG. Arc 9, phase 1. Arc 9, phase 2 and so on. I find the LNs difficult going. translating fiction from Japanese to English is difficult but it's nice to see some stuff fleshed out that didn't make it to to anime.

The Manga isn't the original source for this story, and neither are the light novels. It was originally (and still is) a web novel. The Web Novel is the furthest along in the story. What's interesting about them all is that they each are slightly different, adding or removing information. The way I see it is that the web novel is the rawest form of the story, it has the most detail (too much sometimes) If you're a theorist, it's the best form to read it. The manga has the least amount of information in it, but it's easily accessible. The light novel is a good mix between the anime and the web novel, where it trims some of the less necessary stuff out from the web novel but has more information than the anime.
