Don’t know if you already know this but Coach Ukais VA Kazunari Tanakas final line in this episode, “Don't you dare look down! Volleyball is a sport where you're always looking up!” was his final recording before suddenly passing away due to a brain hemorrhage.

Kikol _

Man. And now we wait.

JD Verwey

amazing episode like always karasunoooo

PubicLice

I hope we get a haikyuu week next season Before the movie releases next month

Gregory Henry

Those closing moments of Episode 8 never fail to smack me in the face with the feels. The old man remembering his past, feeding into the despair of match point, Coach Ukai VA's last lines, all leading up to Tsuki running out of the tunnel. Peak fiction.

Abigail Jerry

Ya know. You coulddddd upload it sooner just because we are such an awesome squadddd 😏🙌🏾

ミッシェル

dude that Michael Cole reference got me dying LMAO 💀

Vailing Bow

Looks like Ushijima is foreshadowing that small yet skilled player he met this year ;)

Vailing Bow

I doubt Nick will see this, but that last line of Coach Ukai was his last as the original voice actor passed away.

Monfy D. Luffy

Can’t wait for Monday to come along. First time I’m excited to work to a Monday!!

Summerwind

The VA of coach Ukai had passed away after recording for this episode. That last part was the final line that he made ever before passing away 🥲

Alex

u should fr watch the ovas

victones

last words of coach Ukai's VA :(

RoosterBärs

If you like sports animes you should definitely watch Hajime no ippo after you finish Haikyuu, (it's a boxing anime)

Wild Wesley

I swear to god, this anime just hits different. I have watched it over and over and over again, and I get just as excited, just as emotional, just as into it every single time. No other anime has that same rewatchability for me except maybe some parts of Hunter x Hunter and Case Closed. Also for that point that confused you after Yamaguchi’s first serve, Karasuno got the point because despite the other team blocking the ball, they touched the net, which you can’t do. It’s a net violation. That’s why in the shot after Hinata hits the ball straight down for the first time after jumping too far forward, he strains to stop himself from touching the net before the whistle blows. The net is the enemy to middle blockers everywhere.
