You've finally received the explanation that Deku means Useless when used by Bakugo, but Midoriya now has changed the meaning to a positive phrase thanks to Uraraka EDIT: I mean Midoriya is trying to point "Deku" to use the positive meaning, he isnt inventing a new word or phrase.

The relationship and emotions between Deku and Bakugo are actually very complex. Deku refers to Bakugo as "Kacchan", which is a term of endearment in Japanese used among very close individuals. In summary, their relationship is a mix of childhood friends, rivals, significant others, and even includes elements of dislike. It's a relationship that encompasses a wide array of emotions.

The MHA students themselves don't die but they get a fate worse than death. They all become thousands of rule 34 posts. You would not believe the amount of rule 34 made for this series and the students themselves. Every single character gets time in the spotlight with Deku on rule 34. You name off a character in this series and they are in a post with Deku on rule 34. That is why you don't bring up bakugo or todoroki being gay. The teenage girl shippers will continue to make more gay artwork of them being with deku. Majority of the shipping fanbase (especially the gay stuff) for this series is females. If you don't believe me look it up. The females ruined the fanbase for MHA. Thankfully the amount of rule 34 of deku getting with every female in the series surpasses the amount of gay shipping rule 34 of him. Some of the females that ship deku being gay with bakugo or todoroki even slandered the author for confirming that deku was straight as if it wasn't made very clear from the beginning that the main love interest is uraraka. Its wild bro....

Izuku and the students are TEENS, the fact that you looked for them in r34 is wild in itself, and there is nothing wrong with gay ships, just as I am not against heterosexuals, It depends on each person's rotten brain whether to make inappropriate content about them or not, and that doesn't make the anime better or worse, you have to learn to separate the fanbase from the content that Bones or horikoshi can bring, if you really like the series, who consumes it is a zero to the left.

I think it says a lot that you bring up this specific series and say I am a bad person for looking at rule 34 but the gay ships for the series are fine. Nah, it's very progressive. You can see and feel it through the seasons, even in the smallest details in their interactions (but yes, the biggest evolution point in their relationship happens much later)

It’s amazing to see and know how far Bakugous in terms of his relationship with Deku. You’ll see just how weird it really is and also how obsessive they both are with each other it’s crazy. Love how Nick sometimes turns into a Machine Gun when a character shares the same thoughts as him XD One thing I didn't like about Erasure Head/Aizawa in his introduction is how he expects kids to magically know their Quirks inside out. Like what's the point of them going to school? TO CONTROL THEIR QUIRKS yet he wasn't going to do that with Deku. He's just being biased against him because of All Mights, lol. He's really Kakashi at the start, but Kakashi actually had points. Especially since if they formed a 3 man team they could easily die, but here they have 3 fucking years. "Deku" literally comes directly from the kanji for "Izuku" as an alternative pronunciation, and the full phrase is "Deku no Bou" (literally wooden doll, but figuratively useless), which has a word phonetically the same to "Deku" while "Dekiru" requires the removal of a character from the middle. But Deku in either way requires the knowledge of his Kanji. Nobody would start calling him Deku without reading his Kanji, they would just call him Izuku. But because of knowing the Kanji, the pronunciation Deku comes about, and Deku phonetically is closer to Deku no bou than Dekiru. In the end, I'd trust the balanced explanation of Crunchyroll over 2 random strangers on the internet...

Yes, they are there to improve. Aizawa admitted that he has SOME potential, and if he didn't he’ll send him home. It’s obvious they need to improve but if they suck at something at the gecko, and are no good at all, it's not worth training someone you know will never make it.
