Holidays are coming and it made me think about the timeline of the story. If I follow the in-game calendar, Christmas and New Year will land a few months from now and that might feel strange. Reading holiday events without the holiday spirit around you usually feels a little out of sync.

Ignoring the dates would not make sense either. I already built time into the story and the days matter. So now I am torn between two roads.

I could make a small time skip and have the holiday events in the next update so they land close to the real dates. Then I would go back later and fill in the missing days. Or I can just follow the natural flow of the in-game world and let things happen when they happen.

Not sure yet.I will sleep on it and see what feels right in the morning. Your comments might help.

If possible,I think add a bottom to enter the independent holiday story is a good idea

Let things happen when they happen or you can always do a non-canon holiday story and make it an independant story that doesn't follow the current state of the story

Let things happen naturally, so you don't have to worry about how to fit it in later

If I do it, it would not be set in stone. When we reach that point in the timeline, I'll edit it or redo it completely, so it fits better.

Yes, if I go for it, it would be non canon. More like a small test run to see how their future interaction works.

Or maybe it could be a small standalone build. That might be cleaner.

thinking of ppl who will play this awesome game later than us - they wont have Holiday spirit either i vote for continuing story naturaly and not bothering with complicated time skips

Thanks for the kind words. Then again, that could be one more reward for you who are here at the beginning 😏
