Summary- Ever since he was young he wanted to help people, from becoming an enforcer to taking care of his kid-sister. But it seems in doing so he also caught the attention of a certain blue haired girl with a rather 'explosive' personality. As he's caught in the endless chaos between Piltover and Zaun. On thing is for certain…Naruto never thought his life would get so crazy. (Naruto/Jinx)

Please leave me lots and lots of NICE reviews.

Chapter 1- Meet Me in the Alleyways

"Marcus, come on, just hear me out!"

"No, Naruto, we've been over this."

"But come on, Marcus!" The blonde argued. "You know as well as I do that something is going on in Jaun, now if we just take a team to investigate—"

"No, Naruto, and that's final!" The sheriff told him, finally irritated, shutting down any notion of the now named 'Naruto's' intentions.

Marcus was a tall man, appearing around his mid-thirties, slim to be sure, with pale skin and short dark brown hair, a brett's beard with graying sideburns and brown eyes. He wore the standard Enforcer uniform for Piltover, that being a blue coat with gold and navy accents, a golden belt buckle, as well as heavy shoulderpads. As well as a set of grey pants, tall navy boots with a similar design matching his coat, and a white, navy, and gold helmet-like hat to complete the set.

He was a captain of the Enforcers, as well as the appointed sheriff of the province of Zaun after the previous one, Sheriff Grayson, was unfortunately killed six years ago, serving her duty to the bitter end.

The person he was talking to, Naruto, was a well-mannered boy, young and a rookie of another squadron here in Piltover. He had only been on the force for a little more than half a year, though he was already proving well above his peers. He had blonde, spiky, wild hair that was untamed like the sun. He was tanned, well-built, though not exactly tall, being around 5'9. Across his face, there was a set of strange whisker-like markings that appeared similar to scars. He was also wearing the standard-issue Enforcer uniform, as well as a small silver revolver at his hip that he would use from time to time during the job.

"I know for a fact that nothing is happening in Zaun that is without my notice, so just drop it," his superior told him resolutely. "I expect not to hear from this again," Marcus said with a pointed look. As he then walked away, leaving Naruto in the halls of the headquarters… alone.

"'Nothing is happening in Zaun that is without my notice,'" the blonde mocked the man for not listening to him, before his anger boiled over.

"Damn!" Naruto shouted, slamming his fist into the wall.

"So you think Zaun is up to something?" A new figure asked, it was a woman a few years his senior.

She was pale, well-built, and lean. If he had to describe her in a single color, it would be navy blue, matching the color of her hair and eyes. She had sharp features with an angular face. Anyone looking at her would say she was attractive, wearing the woman's standard-issue uniform of a similar design to his own. With Navy and gold accents, she wore a dark blue dress with a white panel in the center and a frilled collar. Wearing dark boots and a tall, white hat with a blue design.

She was Caitlyn Kiramman, of the famous Kiramman family, with her family holding a seat on the council of Piltover. She was practically from royalty, nobility, and lived a life well off enough to lead to nearly everyone's envy. Leaving many to wonder, just why did she become an enforcer in the first place? Being a police officer of the city, she enacted justice wherever she could. She was also his senior by about five years and a good friend of his on the force.

Sometimes, he felt as though she was the only one that he could rely on.

Currently, the two were enjoying their lunch break, conversing after a few hours of patrol.

The blonde gave a dry chuckle, "Zaun is always up to something, Cait, that's the problem. But now? Everything has been much too quiet from what I hear, and I just want to know why," he told her.

Something was off with Zaun in recent years, and from what he could gather, a storm was brewing. Though if Piltover could move to stop it in time, he thought that they would manage with the fewest casualties.

Unfortunately, Sherif Marcus didn't see things that way.

He thought he was huffing smoke, that he was full of it, and that Piltover was the safest it had ever been—no doubt because of his own influence as Sheriff of the undercity.

"Right, you were from there, were you not?" Caitlyn reminded herself, as Naruto gave a slight nod.

She was right, he was born in the lower city of Zaun and grew up there for the majority of his life. He wouldn't exactly say his family was poor, but they weren't well off either, and he had seen his fair share of what the lower city was capable of.

When he was 12, his mother unfortunately died in a mugging late at night. She wasn't involved in anything, and from what the sheriff could tell, it had merely been the wrong place at the wrong time. It had been merely a small trip to the market, nothing much, and Kushina had always been able to handle herself if things got too tough. But she was attacked, robbed, and killed for the money she had, what little it was.

They caught the bastard who did it. It was some hooked-up junkie who was looking for cash; he guessed his mother seemed like the sort to have it. They threw the man in jail, and that was the last he'd heard of him since.

Of course, this had been a wake-up call for his family— what was left of it. And his father immediately realized that Zaun wasn't quite the place to raise a family in the wake of his mother's passing. And so he took him and his younger sister to Piltover. Minato, his father, was always one of the most brilliant minds in Zaun, and he used his intellect to try and help those in need in the undercity.

You see, Piltover was renowned, the city of progress, as some might call it, one of the few sane civilizations left in the world. With running electricity, power grids, sewer, and water lines, it was a city of innovation.

Though even the greatest places still spawned bad eggs, and Piltover was no different. Within the crevices of Piltover was Zaun, the city that Piltover trampled over in the wake of its wealth, burying the sister city in Piltover's sins and corpses. With a high poverty rate, high propensity for violence, high propensity for death…

Piltover did not care for the lower city, at least not its council, and it seemed like every day the two cities were growing further and further apart, and if nobody did anything, then an uprising would be on their hands and doorstep.

After his father had taken them to Piltover, he could tell the man wasn't the same. Sure, he was still the kind man that he had always been, but he was different— more broken. He thought he wouldn't notice, and he tried to keep it from his sister and him, but he noticed.

2 years later, he died of a broken heart.

Leaving the two of them in the orphanage in Piltover until he could support the two of them as her guardian as soon as he could.

From the moment he was young, he knew he wanted to help people, joining the police enforcer academy and working harder than anyone to become a graduate.

Though as the days passed, he found the job more tedious than anything, especially when the two of them could be out there doing something, instead of here patrolling the streets every day, all day. Not finding anything as criminals walked about.

He'd rather everyone quit sitting on their asses and actually do something for a change.

If he could get them to see that…

"Naruto, you aren't thinking of doing anything stupid, are you?" Caityln asked, she knew Naruto had a penchant for dumb ideas, though she hoped he wouldn't be too brash with everything. Maybe he would actually listen to Sheriff Marcus for a change?

Like that would ever happen.

Naruto grew a small smile, one that did not ease her mind.

"Of course not, you know me…" he assured.

As the two cops got back to their duty.

XXX

A Few Hours Later.

If one were to describe the city of Zaun, they would only need one word… shit.

Living there was utterly terrible.

Upon entry, the first thing you noticed was the smell. Gone was the fresh, filtered air of Piltover as you descended further and further into the undercity. Her there plant life was sparse, and the aroma of chemicals and bacteria was all too present. In some places, you could feel the hairs in your nose burning, but you got used to it. Fire was all too common here in Zaun.

You had to keep your head low, make it clear you didn't want to fight, but were more than willing to put up one given the chance. You had to make it seem like you belonged there, that you weren't an outcast.

That was how you survived.

Walking throughout the alleyways of the drudgeful city, he could smell the faint aroma of smoke laced with sewage water. Gone was his enforcer gear; if he wore any trace of it, he would be gone within an instant, beaten to a bloody pulp before he could even make it past the first two blocks.

People didn't like pigs, especially not when they were wearing their blue coats. Despite the abundance of crime, it was life, how the people lived down here, and nobody wanted to change it.

It didn't always used to be this way, things used to be better— still pretty bad, don't get him wrong. But there was at least some semblance of order here in this establishment, back when Vander was in charge.

He was a humble man, strong, stoic, though he held the city together in its chaos. He died about 6 years ago, about when his mother died, and crime started to become rampant.

With his death, Zaun never quite recovered.

Now it was a hellhole, same as it always was.

Dressed now in a simple black and orange jacket with a hood, a white shirt, and a durable pair of pants that were grey.

He didn't quite stand out, although his clothing could probably use a few more stains and tears on it if he wanted to remain inconspicuous. Choosing to keep his head low among the people, trying not to let his mind wander and risk angering some drunk loose cannon wanting to pick a fight with someone.

He walked through several groups of people, humans, vastayans like chireans, and the like. Moving in front of several market stalls as they tried to offer their business. He wasn't here for them, no, he was here for only one purpose.

Caitlyn would have called his actions stupid; he, on the other hand, viewed them as necessary.

If Marcus wasn't willing to do anything, he would; it was as simple as that. He needed proof, he needed undeniable evidence beyond a shadow of a doubt that the sheriff wasn't as all-knowing as he once presumed. That ought to wipe that smug look off his face.

He took a left, turning into a small alleyway into the shadows as he perused the inner workings of the undercity, an air smelling somehow worse than it did before in the main street, though he kept on walking.

A shadow, as nobody else noticed him. After all, these were what the alleys were for, were they not? Shady dealings in the cover of darkness.

Though there would be no drug deal happening where his presence was today, nor a shady rendezvous to commit a petty theft.

He needed answers, and he needed proof. Something to help him get the top brass to see what he was trying to tell them.

Eventually, he found who he was looking for, right where he wanted him to be, as he startled him, not expecting him to be here so soon.

"You know, Shika, I know you're family is supposed to be really good at working in the shadows, but could you make things any less conspicuous? You make it look like I'm trying to buy something from you that you shouldn't have."

"-Jeez, Naruto! You nearly gave me a heart attack, I thought you were the reaper!" The now named 'Shika' spoke, nursing his aching heart.

"Oh, please, you know you're not that lucky," Naruto snorted.

Shikamaru was a tall boy, about his age, with dark hair organized in a ponytail that spiked out in all directions, resembling a pineapple, his most distinguishing feature. He had pale skin and dark eyes, one of which was swollen. He was dressed in a tan trench coat, as well as wearing a dark shirt and pants, as well as a silver crucifix around his neck.

"You know, I shouldn't be talking to you. Hell, you shouldn't be here. What the hell were you thinking coming back, especially because you're a cop!"

"Yeah, well, I'm hear now. We've been over this, and it's too late to back down now. You're not having second thoughts, are you?"

"Damn, of course I am. If word gets around I'm dealing with a cop, well… you know what'll happen" it was odd, he actually appeared to be pretty frantic. He wasn't exactly thinking straight, not like the usual Shikamaru he had come to know.

He looked kind of beat up, too. Clothing torn, several bruises around his body, a black eye.

Something had happened, and he didn't know what.

"Then why are we here? Then, why'd you have me come around here?" Naruto asked pointedly, Shikamaru was one of his main guys to help him know what was going on here in the streets— the two of them had known each other since they were kids. If he wanted out, then, well, he'd have a harder time following what went about the bottom side.

"Gah— No, of course not, not when everything is so big, man!" Shikamaru said he could hear the worry in his voice.

Naruto didn't understand, "What, man? What's happening?"

"Choji man, they got choji…"

"Who got Choji?"

"This!" Shikamaru revealed, pulling out a small vial from his pocket.

He showed it to him, and as Naruto took it into his hand, it was small, fitting in the crook of his fingers as he moved it. Observing its contents as a purple liquid lay inside it. Naruto looked at it curiously, the object having a subtle glow that he couldn't quite believe. Just what was this stuff?

"I don't get it, you brought me a glow stick?" he questioned, not seeing the point.

"I wish it were a glowstick. That right there is shimmer, some kind of new drug that's hit Zaun over the past few years. Real nasty shit, I don't know how, but somehow Choji got ahold of it a few weeks ago, didn't tell me… and now he can't quit. It took all I had to wrest that vial out of his grip. Look what he did to me," Shikamaru gestured to his eye for added effect. Naruto had seen that he had a black eye but didn't say anything, not wanting to pry.

"Shit, man, he did that to you?" Naruto said in disbelief, as he put the vial substance in his jacket pocket for safekeeping, not wanting to lose hold of it.

He had always known the two to be the best of friends. Choji was always a pacifist, too–– or at least what he could be here in the undercity, not trying to pick a fight with anyone. For the drug to turn such a loving and kind guy like Choji into a junkie looking to get his next fix, there was no telling what it would do to others.

"Yeah, that's not really important. The shit's doing a whole lot worse than that… once I found the stuff, I just knew I had to look into it."

"You know where it's being produced?" Naruto said in surprise. He knew Shikamaru was a genius, one of the smartest kids in Zaun, but this was something else.

The man just nodded, "I do, and this is getting far too troublesome for my liking…"

XXX

The pineapple-headed man led him to a series of alleyways to the point he lost track of where they were. Not a word was spoken between them, not a peep was uttered as they made their way through the undercity.

"So this is the place?"

He asked, as they started at a large building, one of the many there in Zaun. Though that wasn't to say that it stood out much, quite the contrary, he knew where they were… they were in chem-baron territory. A place where the highest mob bosses around fought for power, here, there were even fewer rules, fewer laws of the land. For good people, it was like a wasteland; if you didn't make yourself look like you belonged there, you would look, well, dead.

"Yup, that's it!" Shikamaru told him, gesturing towards the building in front of them, as he then reached into his pocket, pulling out a set of cigarettes and a lighter, before taking a drag.

"Took me a while to find, but I found it. Though I got to warn ya, if you get caught it's bad news, especially with the new chem-baron out there, said to mass produce the stuff."

"Oh?"

"They call him Silco, not sure when he popped up, though word around is he's been here ever since you left topside. Though he's not who you need to worry about…" the man trailed off.

The blonde looked at him, "And who do I need to worry about?"

"His number 2, a woman they call 'Jinx,' not sure where she popped up, but when I tell you, she's crazy. Like crazier than Choji after someone ate his last set of chips."

Naruto shrugged, "How bad can she be?" He questioned.

Though he could tell Shikamaru was serious. Something about this woman scared him. "I've seen what she can do with her toys, and it's not pretty— she isn't pretty."

Naruto nodded at his former friend, taking his words with a grain of salt. Though he was sure he could handle himself just fine, and with luck, he was sure he wouldn't meet the woman.

"Well, I'll keep that in mind. But thanks for this, you've really helped out alot," Naruto told him, genuinely serious.

Though the man only shook his head, "Nah, I got my own feelings about the shit they've been up to. And besides, you really helped me out when you helped Kurenai get into Piltover. How is she, by the way?"

"She's doing great, her and Asuma's kid are really enjoying their new life topside," Naruto told him, as Shikamaru somberly remembered his former teacher. He died in a run-in with crime, leaving his pregnant wife and unborn daughter alone without anyone, about two years ago. Such was the way of Zaun. Naruto had taken her up to piltover, and used some of his connections to get her a job there, so Shikamaru owed him.

"That's good…" he said, a silence overtaking them.

Just as fast as Naruto broke it, "So how am I supposed to get in?"

As Shikamaru gained a somewhat eerie smirk, "Oh, you're not gonna like this…"

Naruto didn't like the look the lazy genius was giving him.

It was true, he didn't like it…

XXX

The sewer. The god-damn sewer.

That was the big-brained genius's plan, apparently; the building, while it usually had its sewers locked, had been doing some underground dealings, and it used its inner pipelines to transport its medical materials safely and out of the sight of the other drug lords, fearing that they would have an attack on the shipment.

Though it apparently they hadn't quite gotten around to sealing the sewer shut again.

The outside was like a fortress, filled to the brim with armed guards in case of any unwanted guests— like cops or other chem-barons, for example. Though the inside was less guarded, nobody suspected that someone could get inside without their notice.

Well, it seemed they hadn't been expecting someone dumb enough to actually go inside through there…

The plan was simple, as the location of this 'Silco's' operation wasn't enough, Marcus didn't even believe he existed, and things would continue that way. He needed proof, and actual solid evidence, that was what he needed. He didn't quite have the firepower for a shootout, and he didn't think himself good enough to take on an entire drug ring all on his own.

However, it was a good thing that wasn't what he intended…

All he needed was proof, well, good thing he brought his camera with him, so that he could take a few pictures of what was happening.

Walking along the sewer, even as his feet didn't touch the noxious chemicals, he could still feel himself burning inside, covering his mouth with his sleeve to lessen some of the pain. No wonder nobody wanted to be down here.

Eventually, he followed the sewer system right where he wanted, a particular manhole that led to the bottom of the building, though even that didn't fully reach the factory's lowest point.

Silco's shimmer factor went on for quite a long time, reaching down deep as he had drilled down to give room to produce more of his vile substance. The sewer line didn't reach the bottom, putting him more towards the middle, but even so, he could see enough. Pulling out his camera as he was led into a tall room with multiple levels, workers were going about as they carted multiple ingredients around the refinery. Humans, Vastaya, anyone that would be useful in creating more of the shimmer drug that had plagued the city, even now, he didn't know the full effect the drug had on Zaun.

Naturally, he hid himself, sneaking about through the shadows and away from anyone who might spot him. He had always been good at stealth. Even when he was a kid, he had been able to escape men twice his age, and now he was even better. As he continued to take shots of several areas of the Shimmer factory, not aware that his luck may have just run out…

Whether this would be for better or worse, he wouldn't know.

XXX

Up above.

"Dang it, leftie, I'm bored!"

"You wouldn't be bored if you did your job!"

"Well, my 'Job' is to watch over this place, and there's nothing, so I'm bored, happy?"

"I'll be happy when you keep quiet, Jinx! No, go watch something, and let me get back to work."

The woman she was talking to was a woman named Sevika, no last name, as she had gotten rid of it some time ago. She was a tall, tanned-skinned woman with a considerable amount of muscle, a rounded nose, short black hair, and grey eyes. Her most noticeable feature was her giant metal arm on her left side, one that was capable of pumping the infamous shimmer drug into her at a moment's notice, considerably increasing her strength.

This was Silco's top enforcer, one of the two main people he used in his operation, and a woman who was immensely loyal to the man.

However, the second woman was far more interesting…

She was slimmer than Sevika was, although she was far more dangerous. She was pale, with rosy cheeks, dark circles around her eyes, dark silvery blue irises, and purple lips. Her most defining feature was her long blue hair that was tied in twin braids falling down her pack, such was so long that it reached down to her ankles. A few loose strands frame the right side of her face.

Her body type was slender, with a thin frame, slightly muscular arms, a slim waist, and small breasts. Her clothing consisted of a thin leather crop top that did nothing to hide her frame, as well as a pair of purple and pink striped pants, arm guards, a large belt to hold her toys, and combat boots. Additionally, she had a strange set of cloud-like blue tattoos covering the right side of her body that were visible due to her revealing outfit.

As Sevika walked off to make sure everything was working smoothly, leaving Jinx to look over at the balcony, actually doing her job and observing the shimmer manufacturing plant and making sure nobody broke in. It was boring. There wasn't a job to be done at the moment, and Silco had cut back on her budget for her toys since her last explosion. Meaning there was no fun to be had.

"Oh, please, I'll show that bitchy-bimbo who's boss, just because she's an ogre, she thinks she can do what she wants… and—oh… well, what do we have here?" she complained as she looked at the lower sections.

Her eyes caught a shadowy figure, one that she knew wasn't supposed to be there. He was blonde, with a set of whisker-like marks, though she couldn't exactly get a good look at him. But from the instant she saw him, she could tell that he didn't belong; the man hiding himself quite well from the people down on his level, but from her view, she could see him perfectly.

"Well, well, well… looks like we got a peeping cat in our midst."

There was also a crazed look in her eyes, one that absolutely exploded with amusement, as a smirk made its way across her face.

This could be fun.

From down below, Naruto felt a chill go down his spine at that moment, as he felt a premonition move his eyes upward, high into the top of the building, easily a few hundred feet. And, well…

His blue eyes caught sight of a girl from up above.

As he instantly realized he had been spotted.

He ran for the sewers once again.

"Oh, no, you can't get away that easily. Things were just starting to get interesting!" Jinx said with a crazed look, jumping from the balcony as she used a nearby chain to slide herself down to Naruto's level, hot on his tail.

XXX

Shit. Shit. Shit.

That was the only word that came to his mind as he wandered back into the halls of Zaun's sewer system, trying to get away as fast as he could from the person who spotted him. Not knowing that the girl who had caught his gaze was the same one that Shikamaru had expressly warned him against.

All he needed to do was get back to Piltover; he had already gotten what he wanted here. Enough evidence of the new Shimmer drug to start an investigation in to put away this Silco behind bars. Hopefully, then Zaun would be a much safer place for everyone—though he doubted it, but it was better than nothing.

He traced his path, trying to find where Shikamaru had led him.

Though he still didn't feel safe, he still felt like someone was chasing after him. Hoping to shake them in the labyrinth of the sewer system.

Bang.

Instantly, Naruto's instincts screamed as he walked through a particularly long tunnel, and he ducked for cover just in time as a bullet flew past him, right where he had been a moment ago, hiding in a subsection of the tunnel."Looks like we got a sewer rat on our hands. Isn't this interesting…" a female voice echoed

Naruto looked over his shoulder to see a particular blue-haired figure on his tail, though he received another bullet for his troubles, one that he swiftly got out of the way of just in time.

"I know you're in here! Come out, come out wherever you are… You know it's no fun if you don't come out again!"

"This isn't a game of hide and go seek!" Naruto shouted, as he quickly got to work, running down the subsection tunnel he was in and finding a ladder, another opening to a manhole that led into the understreets, not exactly what he was going for, but it would do.

As Jinx closed in on the corner Naruto was at, pointing her gun— a strange-looking, makeshift revolver that was blue and bronze in color with several paint splotches, the gun she had aptly named 'Zapper.'

"Ha!" she shouted as she rounded the corner, seeing no trace of Naruto there. Though looking over, she could see an opening in a nearby manhole cover, letting in some light into the darkness of the tunnel. Letting her know where he had run off to.

"Well, looks like it's a game of cat and mouse, I just love it when the mouse runs…" she said somewhat sadistically, as she calmly walked deeper into the tunnel, whistling a merry tune.

XXX

Naruto ran, and he ran hard.

Putting his camera into his pants pocket as he ran into the alleys of Zaun, trying to remember exactly where he was and forming a mental image of the city structure in his mind. Passing by several criminals as he did so.

Though he still couldn't get the chill to recede from himself, no, the further and further he got, the more his unease increased. He could feel someone watching him, feeling he wasn't quite as alone as he once thought he was. Alone, he thought he saw her.

That girl.

He didn't know who she was. Though he did have his suspicions, that didn't calm his nerves.

He kept running until he was panting, his breath being the only sound in his ears as he ran through the puddles in the alleyway. The darkness was still present in Zaun, very much so.

He had never been afraid of the dark, never fearing the blackness. Though now, he felt anxious about what might lie within it.

He was beginning to figure out where he was now, though he still did not feel safe.

Right as he was running through the narrow walkway, he saw her. Hanging from a stray pipeline by her feet, right in front of him, upside down.

"Hiyah!" He heard her say.

Instantly, he pulled out his silver revolver, ready to fire.

"Don't move!" He shouted, not wanting to fire, but he would if he had to.

"Alright then, looks like you caught me!" she smiled, raising her arms, which for him was downward for added emphasis. "...Or did ya?"

Just then, a few objects fell from her waist, which she had been holding until she raised her arms.

Instantly, Naruto's eyes widened, seeing the objects, small, circular, rounded objects with shark-like faces on them that flapped open. Naruto immediately realized what they were, as he dived out of the way as an explosion rang out.

Boom.

A shockwave sounded as the alleyway was flooded with color as a mysterious amount of chemicals mixed into the combustion. Naruto hit the pavement with a loud thud, recovering quickly as the flash went off, though not before shouting.

"What the hell, are you crazy!"

The girl merely laughed, "Haha, yup! Seems that way," as she pulled her gun at him.

Naruto got up fast, running from the girl as she fired, dodging in a zig-zag pattern and using some of the surrounding area and trash as protection as he ran.

"Fucking hell," Naruto said to himself, running into a different alley as he ran from the girl. Jinx takes to the rooftops to follow the blonde, though the boy immediately realizes this, as he tries to find some place to lose her.

He spotted just the place as he ran towards a nearby building, one that looked abandoned. Luckily, there were no people inside either, not wanting anyone to get caught in the crossfire. From the looks of it, it appeared to be some sort of meetup spot, one away from prying eyes. The building was large, namely empty, with a large amount of concrete support pillars, as well as several white sheets hanging from the walls to prevent dust.

Not exactly the best spot to lose someone, but it would do…

"Haha…" A laugh was heard, as he heard a distinct clattering a loose bottles sounding about.

Naruto hid, realizing that he was followed, of course, he had been, finding a spot next to a pillar that he hoped to get away from the mysterious girl fast, not knowing where she was in the maze of white sheets and pillars.

"Seems someone's hiding… don't worry, I'll find you," she sounded, with the thickness of these walls, it sounded like her voice was coming from everywhere.

"So I take it your name is Jinx?" he asked, projecting his voice so that she couldn't find him, being sure to keep himself moving so that he could stay away from her gaze.

"Yup. That's me. Don't wear the name out, would ya?"

"Bit of an odd name, docha think?"

"What can I say, parents had a strange sense of humor." There was a sense of playfulness in her voice, like she wasn't exactly telling the truth, and he could tell.

"I thought you would be scarier, from how my friend described you," he admitted as he continued moving. From what he imagined from Shikamaru's words, she would be taller, more threatening, all things considered. But she wasn't sure if he was being honest when he had caught a good look at her; she didn't look threatening. She looked frail, young, about his age. If he were being honest, he would never have guessed that she was some sort of deranged criminal.

"Oh, I can assure you, blondie, I'm plenty scary," she said, and he could tell she was smirking. He didn't know how he should feel at such a nickname.

As they continued their cat and mouse game within the large room of white sheets, neither finding the other, nor staying in the same place for very long, as both kept on moving.

"I'll take your word for it. But look, you don't have to do this. We can both just go home, and I promise things will be better by the end of it…"

"Uhh. No, I kind of have to do this, it's kind of my job, blowing up stuff, making sure peeping toms like you don't see what they're not supposed to, you know the dealio."

As Naruto ducked around another support beam, aiming his pistol to see if he could catch his assailant, hoping to get the drop on her so he could disable her reasonably. Nobody needed to die here.

"Yeah, well, it's kind of my job to get back. I got a sister I have to take care of…"

"A sister, huh?" She said, and he could almost hear a bit of recollection in her voice, before she masked it. "Well, aren't you a bit lost from home? You're far away from the yellow-brick road, whiskers."

"Let's just say I'm more of a good-witch than a dorthy," Naruto leaned into the analogy, realizing what she was talking about.

"Well, are you just a big flippin' Boy Scout, huh? What are you, some kind of cop?"

"..."

"Oh ho, and here I thought none of you had the balls to come around here, guess we were wrong, good for you."

Naruto walked over towards a rather open area, finding it empty, sans for a small bottle lying at its end.

"I was raised here, grew up here for the first few years of my life, so I know what you've been through. Like I said, you don't have to keep doing what you're doing. I know how hard it is to grow up here. I'm just trying to make things better for everyone, even someone like you…" He told her, trying to get her to see things his way.

It didn't work.

"I was right, you are a Boy Scout…" Jinx joked before she rounded on herself, placing her pistol within its holster, as she took out one of her bombs from her pouch, and unhooked the pin from the grenade. She got up towards one of the hanging sheets, seeing a small, human-shaped shadow. She realized she had found her target.

As the blue-haired girl steeled her expression.

That's where he was wrong. Zaun was a horrible place for everyone and everything that it touched. It was a hellhole just waiting to happen.

Like Naruto, she had grown up in Zaun, although back then she went by a different name… powder, as they called her.

She had a sister, too.

Her parents had died at a young age when Zaunite riots were more numerous, killed by enforcers just like Naruto. From then on, she grew up with a man named Vander; she had two other siblings, Milo and Clagger. They had fun, they screwed around, they did jobs.

Though she always messed them up, as a Jinx—it was what they called her.

Always a screw up, they were right.

She was a Jinx.

She took the name to heart.

She killed her family members, and when Vi saw that, she cut off and ran too— hitting her. Well, wait until she saw her now, see what she had become…

So, no, Zaun was a horrible place; it corrupted everyone. Just like it had corrupted her.

And for him to see otherwise, well… he ought to be crazier than she was.

"... But that's where you're wrong, there isn't anything better for Zaun."

Jinx closed herself near the shadow of Naruto, violently ripping down the white sheet that served as a barrier between them.

"Here's Jinx—!"

She shouted, getting ready to throw the bomb.

Immediately, Naruto reacted, his eyes widening as he realized how close she was. Pushing away from her, as his foot accidentally hit the stray wine bottle he had seen before.

Perhaps it was her own bad luck, perhaps it was fate. But as soon as he rolled the bottle, it immediately went her way as she moved her foot forward, causing her to trip on her back, accidentally losing her grip on her grenade as she did so.

"Whoa—Ah, that can't be good!"

The grenade hit the floor as she fell, and not long after, an explosion rang out in the abandoned building.

Boom!

XXX

She should be dead.

She should be.

It would only be right after all. She was taken out by her own bad luck. Just like Milo and Clagger had been, with one of her grenades.

From a bottle. A goddamn bottle of all things.

It was like a joke, and she was laughing. Laughing hard.

"Ahahah!"

Though she felt no pain, no bleeding.

"Wait? I'm not dead, huh?" It was the only word that she could speak in surprise.

"Are you okay?" Naruto's voice broke through.

In the instant the girl fell, his body reacted. Stopping in his tracks as he headed towards her, realizing that the explosive was about to go off. As he took her in his arms as he headed for the exit that was nearby, the explosion going off as they both fell into the alleyway outside.

Naruto was on top of her, holding her to make sure that she was okay.

"What? You saved me…" Jinx actually said Surprised.

"Huh? Yeah, I guess I did," he realized. He supposed his body had reacted on its own; he wasn't sure why. But when he saw her about to get hurt, he moved; it was as simple as that.

Jinx laughed, and it was a strange laugh, one from the very bottom of her soul. "Hahah! You really are a god damned Boy Scout, aren't you!" she chuckled, actually in disbelief that he had helped her.

Any other person would have turned tail and run, knowing that she was trying to kill him. He would have gotten away, too. But he didn't; he actually saved her. That is what she was laughing at; that was what was so funny. Either he was an idiot…

Or he was as fucking crazy as she was.

"You must have blown your rocker off!"

"Hey, I resent that—ahh!"

Slam!

A fist struck his face quicker than he could react; it was Jinx's.

"And that's why you don't go around trusting people! Are ya nuts? Haha!" Naruto recoiled from the punch, knocking him away.

"What the hell! Are you crazy?!" he shouted at her, as they both got up.

"Why yes, I am, Blondie!" she laughed, bouncing on her feet.

Naruto tried to pull his gun out of his holster, though he didn't quite make it. Instantly, his hand was knocked away, causing his gun to go flow.

"Nuh, uh. Let's keep that away, shall we? Hehe…" she said with an innocent little smile.

As she was upon him, throwing a punch his way as he was forced to block. He instantly ducked under a swift haymaker, but he didn't expect a kick to arrive at his ankle, as his leg nearly gave out as she hit him.

Though that didn't stop him from grabbing her fist as she made to counterattack, leaving her vulnerable, as he rounded around her. Pulling her hand back in an arm lock, behind her body, as she could do nothing to stop it. A standard maneuver when he tried detaining people as an enforcer, the blonde holding her close to his body, as she struggled in his grip.

"Alright, that's it, I don't want any funny business anymore," he told her.

"I don't know, I've got a few jokes rollin' around in my brain. Hehe, you know I'm pretty flexible~" Jinx smiled, as Naruto recoiled slightly. From the tone of her voice, it almost sounded like she was… flirting with him. Right here. It didn't seem quite the right place to be doing such things.

"Now listen— whoa-ah!"

As he was speaking, she snaked her foot around his, tripping him and rolling him onto his back so that she was on top of him. Both of them falling onto the concrete of the alley, Naruto had found both of his hands pinned down, and he was completely at her mercy.

"Haha, looks like I got the upper hand, Boy Scout."

"Oh no, you don't!"

As Naruto forced all his weight off to the side, rotating them both so that now he was pinning her to her back. A smirk lit up her face as she struggled, her boots clawing at his legs as she tried to pry herself off of him.

"Now it looks like I got the upper hand," he gave her a victorious smirk.

"Oh, do ya?" she said in her smirk.

As his blue eyes stared into her grey, he looked at her fully. A battle of wills as both looked at each other with determination. You know, he couldn't tell from before— mostly because they hadn't been as close to each other as he was now— but seeing her like this, she almost looked… normal? Was that the right word? She didn't look like an enforcer to a powerful drug lord, nor a street rat born from Zaun's underbelly.

She looked like any other person; more than that. He would go as far as to say that she was kind of cute. With her sharp features, her purple lips, and the passion in her eyes.

Though what he couldn't get over was the smirk. Why was she smirking? Why was she looking at that?

She was up to something. He tried to question her on it, but he didn't get the chance.

"What are—"

He found his lips pressed against hers in a swift kiss that he wasn't expecting. And as such, he was utterly baffled at what she had just done, his blue eyes widening in his surprise. If he were to describe her lips, they were slightly rough, chapped, but not unpleasant if he were being honest.

He didn't have time to think about her taste, nor did he have the time to think about the matter. Because before he knew it— in his surprise— Jinx had flipped them over so that she was now on top of him."Well, aren't you a sight for sane eyes, blondie?" she quipped, noting his unthought expression.

Naruto snapped out of his shock as he looked at her with nothing but confusion.

"I-I… Y-you…" he was truly at a loss for words. Weren't the two of them trying to kill each other? But as he tried to get out of her grip, he found her stronger than he had first thought she would be. How the hell was she so strong?

"What? Can't a girl like what she likes? You did save me after all. Eh, cutie?" she said with an innocent expression, as if she hadn't punched him in the face just a moment ago.

And if to emphasize this point, she thrust her lips on him again, it was a long, sloppy kiss, but he would be damned if he said it didn't feel right. He had the actual time to evaluate her taste; the sweetness of her lips was faint and not all there, but he wouldn't say that she tasted sour, either. If he were to say anything, it would be a small sweetness, like blueberries, although he might only be saying that because of her hair color.

Nevertheless, it was a strange ordeal, as he felt her tongue snake inside his mouth faster than he could realize. The girl his age exploring his insides with absolute control, as she moans a little at his touch.

Naruto forced her off of him— and he did mean forced there.

"Whoa, whoa, don't you think you're moving a little fast? This is—"

"Crazy? Hehe, I don't mind a little crazy…" she finished, as if to emphasize her point, she ground herself against his manhood. Her clothed figure rubbed against him as he felt at her body, even with their protective layers, it was a pleasant feeling. "Looks like this guy doesn't mind either," Jinx told him, feeling his member start to harden.

A grin of satisfaction formed across her lips as she realized she was having such an effect on him.

Though she gave him one final look in his flabbergasted state, "See you around~" she said with a smirk.

Naruto couldn't help but stare at her, dumbfounded at what she just did to him. Though his thoughts did remain along one constant watching her walk away…

He thought she had a really nice-looking ass.

Some Time Later.

And Naruto still couldn't believe what Jinx had just done.

He saved her, she punched him in the face, then she had sex with him, and he foolishly allowed it. All the while she was planning to rob him blind— well, that wasn't even it. She had robbed him in broad daylight! Well, not exactly, it was more right to his face, but still.

He had sat there for who knows how long—it might have been twenty minutes—as he was baffled. It was late. Luckily, he had gotten a good sitter to watch over his sister while he was away. But eventually, he picked himself up off the ground, put on his pants, and snuck back into Piltover.

No evidence of Silco and his crimes whatsoever, or at least… that's what he thought.

It had taken him two days to realize, but when he did, he was frantic.

Running along the halls of Enforcer headquarters, he was searching for who he wanted to see. Eventually, he found him.

"Sheriff! Sheriff!" He called out to him, standing in a hallway, as he had previously been talking to another one of his subordinates.

The man turned to him, a somewhat irritated look upon his face. "Naruto, if this is another conversation about—"

"No, it's about this!" He shouted, pulling out what was in his pocket.

Marcus looked at what was in his hands, his eyes widening. "Is that…"

"Yeah, it's a bit of shimmer a friend of mine got when he showed me the factory, I completely forgot that I—"

"Shimmer! You know where it's being manufactured!" Marcus interrupted, actually surprised.

"Uhh… yeah, is that a bad thing?" Naruto said, mentally berating himself for his slip-up, though he hoped the vial would be enough proof that something was happening in Zaun. He didn't mean to tell him he had actually been there.

"Yes, well…" Marcus cleared his throat. "I suppose I shall, um… look into it, though I must ask you to keep this whole shimmer business quiet; we wouldn't want to spook anyone now, would we?"

Naruto could see his reasoning, although he hated to keep quiet about it. "Okay," he nodded.

Marcus patted him on the shoulder, "Alright then, good work, we'll discuss this further," he told him, though inwardly his mind was racing.

Naruto nodded, not knowing what he had just started…

After that, it was a more grueling time spent on the job, though he was still pretty antsy, trying to wonder what sort of things were happening in Zaun and what he was missing. Though he decided to let the sheriff look into things for a bit.

After he got through the day, he headed to his home. He lived in a mid-sized apartment that was supported through his Enforcer job.

The walk throughout Piltover, in comparison to Zaun, was alot different. For starters, the first thing he noticed was the smell; he felt like he could actually breathe here in Piltover, with the sun shining across his skin, and the people not looking like they wanted to kill you every five seconds. Though he would admit that it didn't have the same kind of charm that Zaun had, there wasn't any sense of community, and most of the people just went about their business, not bothering to even look at anyone else. They were just self-centered like that.

Though undoubtably, Piltover was a much safer place all things considered, how long things would stay like that, he didn't know.

As he made his way to his apartment building near the edge of town, with his current salary, he was capable of renting a medium-sized apartment that housed both him and his sister. Making his way towards the tall building, a commonality of all the architecture in the city of innovation. He quickly found his way in, as he headed up the stairs towards his apartment, though it wasn't his apartment that he was aiming for.

Making his way towards the door on the opposite side of his, finding his keys as he opened the door. "Mikoto, Mikoto, are you there?" He shouted, hoping to get the woman's attention.

Mikoto Uchiha was a kind, middle-aged woman who lived next door, whom he had come to know. The woman, being a widow who had lost her husband quite a few years ago in a police incident, the man helped a former enforcer, and because of his profession, she often helped him by watching his younger sister the times that he asked her to. Her own two children had moved out quite a few years ago, leaving her alone in her apartment as she had grown quite lonely.

"I'm here, Naruto, just preparing a bit of dinner!" He heard from the kitchen, as a small smile formed across his lips. He always did appreciate it when Mikato made dinner for them— often making too much for herself and insisting that he take some for him and his sister. Though he always knew that he did it on purpose, he thanked her profusely. She was a rather good cook, and home-made meals were pretty sparse, considering he wasn't good at anything that wasn't making ramen. His sister liked her, too, so that was a plus.

"You know, it was a good thing you sent your friend over to watch your sister; it allowed me to go to the store to get some more ingredients. I wasn't expecting you to have anyone over, though," Mikoto's voice rang out.

Naruto merely grew confused, "Friend? What friend?" he questioned. Suddenly, he had a bad feeling in his stomach, one that he did not know.

"You know, the one in your apartment!"

"Where's my sister?" he asked.

He didn't wait for any answer, and immediately he rushed out of the woman's apartment without warning. The bad feeling in his chest only increased with each step he took. He reached his door, his shaking hand reaching for the doorknob. He found the door already unlocked, and a pang of worry shot through him.

That's when he realized something.

Something that made his skin grow cold.

Yeah, well, it's kind of my job to get back. I got a sister I have to take care of…

That was what he said, a slip of the tongue. Something he hadn't quite thought about when mentioning. And now it was coming back to bite him in the ass…

Jinx knew he had a sister, and if that information got back to her boss, finding out that a cop was looking where he wasn't supposed to, wel…

"Isha! Isha!" Naruto's voice sounded, he didn't hear her's actually worried.

He opened the door, running through his apartment, and found himself in a small hallway that he went through. He turned the corner, and… there was his sister.

Sitting at a small table with a set of cards in her hand, they were uno cards.

There she was, little Isha, his sister, a small girl of ten years old, being only 2 when they had entered Piltover after their mother died. She had inherited Kushina's red—auburn-like hair that was short, with amber eyes, a trait which his father's mother had. Tanned skin, a round face, wearing a simple shirt and shorts.

But what made him even more surprised was the figure sitting across from her. As the figure put her final card down, it was a black plus-four.

"There, I told you I'd win, kid."

A familiar blue-haired woman sat in front of his sister in his apartment. The chill at his spine reaches its peak. What was she doing in his apartment? How had she found him?

It was then that the two people noticed him, both of them too engrossed in that little game of theirs. Immediately, when Jinx looked at him, she smirked that goddamned smirk that drove him crazy."Well, well, look who returned, blondie. You know, me and your sister had alot of fun together..."

"Jinx, what are you doing here?" he said under his breath, his body frozen at seeing her again.

Mikoto's voice entered his apartment, unaware of the trouble happening in the room. "Oh, I left her in your apartment with your friend here. I was surprised to see her, though. When I came over here pick up Isha. Naruto, why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend? I honestly thought we were close enough for you to tell me about he? She seems like such a nice girl…" The black haired woman sighed disappointedly.

Immediately, Jinx seized his body, wrapping her arms around his right, as she smiled towards the woman— an all too forced smile.

"Yup, that's me! Naruto's nice little girlfriend!" she said in the most convincing of voices.

Mikoto looked at the two with a happy expression. She was always a trusting individual, too trusting.

All the while, Naruto was petrified at the girl finding him.

She noticed this, and this merely caused her smirk to widen. With a small laugh, she reached up to him, taking his enforcer hat and placing it upon her head as if it were her's to claim.

"Alright! So, Miss, what's for dinner?" Jinx's voice rang out throughout his apartment.

Naruto didn't know what he had started associating with the girl, though one thing was for certain…

His life was about to get even crazier.

End Chapter.

AN:

With this story mainly revolving around Naruto and Jinx's relationship, maybe we'll have a bit of Zaun and Piltover's underground dealings.

Naruto and Jinx of course meeting eachother through rather unexpected circumstances, which led to some rather 'heated' moments. What more do they have in store for them?

I also revealed Naruto's sister at the end, little Isha, the same one from the story of course. With more of her and Jinx to come.

I wanted to do this fic to get into LoL as I've recently gotten into a bit of the lore and it seems interesting thanks to Blackfang2 helping me get into it. I'm sure more stories with more characters from LoL or Arcane are to come. I just decided to go with Jinx first because it wouldn't seem 'right' to start with anyone else.

I got plans for people like Morgana, Neeko, Evelynn, maybe a few others.

Let me know what you thought of this, it might've been a rather unexpected lemon right of the bat, but I think it'll be rather interesting.

Next update I'm working on is one from Marvel Rivals, though it might take me a few weeks to get out. Be sure to check that out as soon as I release it.

Se ya!

Please leave me lots and lots of NICE REVIEWS.
