Burning Sun
"When he was a kid, he was always good at starting fights.
… not so much finishing them.
But hey, what were you gonna do? Being a loud and very much emotional child who the majority of the village had ostracized, you tended to be more on the reckless side.
That was why he did his pranks, that was why he started fights, to prove himself. To prove to everyone that he existed, that he could not be ignored, that if you were going to ignore him, you might receive a punch in the face for your troubles, or a 'few' dollops of paint all over your house.
Then you could try ignoring him, but it would be difficult.
Most opted to fight back, and he would say that he came out when they did with a few more bruises and bloody noses than he would have liked.
But hey, he did what he wanted to… he proved he was there.
The people who ignored him couldn't ignore him anymore, and that means he had won. Sure, he lost most of his fights, but he got better.
That reminded him of his first fight, too, that had started it all.
It was a snowy day, a rarity in his home village, and many were out. He witnessed a girl being picked on by a group of older boys. Something about that made his blood boil, witnessing someone else getting picked on in a similar way that he did. Well, he couldn't exactly let that continue; something beckoned him to throw his fist at them.
Of course, he lost.
He lost badly, but they had stopped picking on the girl, and so in the end he really won, right? No… well, that was just how some fights went, he supposed.
He never did end up seeing who that girl was; she ran away before he came to after they knocked him down.
That had been his first fight, the first of many.
…There was always another fight.
At the academy that trained them to be shinobi, he remembered winning most of the spars there; the only ones he ended up losing to were the kids from the clan families, with their extra training and their specialized fighting techniques, they had the advantage.
But he took pride in the fact that he was able to compete with them, being a no-name orphan.
All that changed when he met a rather… odd individual; odd—but in a good way. He was quite the character, honestly, he didn't know what to think of him, but he was strong, and better than almost everyone at fighting, even now, he wasn't sure how well they would match up.
His name was Maito Gai— or Might Guy, as they called him. Originally, he had been there only as a passing chance, checking up on a potential prospect he had for a possible disciple that was one year ahead of him.
But he saw him in the school training grounds, practicing, punching the training dummies until his fists bled. Being an avid believer in the fires of a young spirit, Might Gai couldn't ignore it, as he watched him train for hours in hiding. It was only after he busted the training dummy up that he showed himself.
The Green beast gave him a few tips, mostly for how to throw a punch or a kick, fixing all the terrible katas he had been intentionally instructed incorrectly by the teachers who hated him.
But most of all, he taught him spirit.
He was taught that just because one could fight, it didn't mean they should, and that if you did end up fighting, you ought to remember your reason for doing so. And as a young, impressionable mind who yearned for attention, getting an actual person to take the time out of his busy day to look after him, something only the Hokage and the two owners of a small ramen shop were keen on doing.
The best part? With the small instructions and tips from the top-ranking jonin, he had been able to take down the clan heirs when they sparred, except for Sasuke. They went 50/50 most of the time; either he would win because of his superior strength and fighting instincts, or Sasuke would win because of his superior speed and precision. But the point was, he got better.
Might Gai stopped by to check on him every once in a while.
And he graduated, receiving barely passing marks where he could, and excelling marks in all things physical, although that only made him pass barely. It was strange, but he heard that an instructor was caught trying to steal the scroll of seals that night. He never liked the guy, always trying to trip him up with difficult questions or teach him the wrong katas when they were in class.
He was placed in a group with a few of his classmates, Sakura, and Sasuke. And they got along well enough, although they really only ended up getting along after their first mission out of the village— an interesting tale, perhaps for another day.
Then came the chunin exams, the test you took if you wanted to prove you were capable of a promotion as a Genin. And there he met Gai's prized pupil, Rock Lee, and he was an… interesting fellow, as many would describe him.
He was green, very green, with busy eyebrows and a bowl-cut; he was the spitting image of Might Gai. To the point that he actually petitioned for there to be a forced DNA ancestry test done on them, although he could never get it approved by Lady Tsunade, unfortunately.
But he was getting off track, Rock Lee had tracked him down, wanting to fight a person who had also been the dead last and a fellow disciple of Konoha's Green Beast. And he got his ass handed to him, no matter how strong he was he couldn't match up to Lee's speed, nor his superious fighting prowess.
But he did learn something, and that was that Rock Lee was a pretty cool guy, truly a lifelong friend he had made through the art of combat; he even managed to land a few good hits on the lad, much to his pleasure.
Their fight had been stopped, of course, although he had later come to find out that both of their senseis had neglected to jump in right away, feeling as though it would be a good learning experience. Although it did prove to be the perfect fuel for Sasuke's inferiority complex at the time, seeing the two of them in action, not that they knew.
The chunin exams began, and he would say that it was one of the most challenging times in his life. The first exam was a written test— they never were his strong suit, battling an actual Sanin in the second. He wouldn't say the preliminary exam to reach the third was any easier, although not because of his own battle. He fought a boy named Kiba, and although his chakra was sealed during the second exam, he managed to beat him with his superior physical stats.
But no, the preliminaries were hard because of what he had to witness.
Gaara, a Genin from the Village Hidden in the Sand— different from the Village Hidden in the Leaves that he was from. And he was a monster, believe him, he was able to control sand to whatever shape he wanted, melding it and contorting it to either a powerful shield or a deadly weapon. Lee shouldn't have been a match for him. Gaara had never been injured in a battle; he truly was a prodigy.
But that didn't matter to Lee, and through the hard work he had put in, he had managed to be the first person to make Gaara bleed.
That was also the first time he had witnessed the Eight Gates, a forbidden jutsu that allowed a person to release the eight biological limiters that restricted a person's chakra flow out of fear of damaging the body. And with it, he had a chance against the indomitable monster.
…Merely a chance, unfortunately.
Rock Lee had been defeated in that fight, giving it his all, as Gaara went to the third and final exam… right alongside him in the tournament.
They both were paired against one another, set to battle, as Naruto would get a chance to get even with his wounded friend.
After that, they were given a whole month of training, and with it, they had been given a familiar instructor. In his grief, a Rock Lee being injured during his battle, Might Gai decided to train him in ways to beat Gaara that Lee proved possible.
Training his physical stats, his technique, and his stamina, he even went into weight training, all of which to make him faster than Gaara's sand could match, just as Lee had. It had been hard, but after that month, he felt like he could do anything. He was proud of the work he had put in.
He beat Gaara, just as Lee had proven he wasn't invincible. The Village was invaded by the villages of Sand and Sound, but without their prized weapon, their assault proved a failure. And although they did take their losses, unfortunately, their Hokage did end up passing through it all, they stood strong.
He went with a perverted hermit to look for the old hag that would become the next Hokage, and just like all the others, he proved them wrong.
But then Sasuke ended up betraying the village, a shame. But a team was assembled to get him back. He ended up fighting Orochimaru's top bodyguard, a man who could manipulate the bones in his body to unnatural proportions, and through some timely intervention from a recently recovered Rock Lee and Gaara, they were able to best him. As the dragged Sasuke back, kicking and screaming.
After that, he left the village on a training trip for three years, training in ways Might Gai had instructed as well as learning from a Sanin. He came back stronger, strong enough to contest with the Akatsuki members that were after him—long story.
What else happened? Well, he returned, his sensei died, he fought and beat a Rinnegan user. He ended up fighting in a war, and ended up befriending the demon fox in his stomach after trading a few blows.
Then a god came, and… let him just say that she was absurdly powerful, unskilled, but powerful. Beating her did not come easily, but they managed.
After that peace happened, people could finally settle down and relax, as the wars that had plagued the elemental nations were no more with the uniting of all the major hidden villages into one nation. Or so it seemed; there were lots of skirmishes happening all around the world, lots of fights to be had.
He took the ways of Jiraiya and became a hermit, wandering the earth and focusing on his skills.
And when a fight broke out, he was sure to be there.
Some might call him a battle junkie, be he would disagree, he had gotten just as good at ending them as he started them.
So let me tell you this, it was like he always said…
There was always another fight to be had.
There will always be another person to rise up.
After all, that was the joy of living, to be alive, to live on.
That was the will of fire that burned bright through us all.
Go on, show us your flames.
Show us all that your life means to you.
And when someone wants to put an end to it, you just have to say no more.
Let me see the fight in you.
The human spirit that ignited,
Let me see yours…"

"And that's my story, battled a god, fought in a war, you know, the usual…" Naruto stated, as he had been asked to tell them about himself.
He was a blonde-haired male with tan skin and blue eyes. Having a set of whisker-marks across his cheeks— a constant reminder of the kyuubi that inhabited him. He also had on the standard Konoha flak-jacket vest that was green in color, although he neglected to wear a shirt underneath, revealing his strong muscles. He also wore a set of blue shinobi pants and black sandals. Around his arms were a set of orange wrist bands that were reminiscent of Lee and Gai's old leg warmers. He also wore his Konoha hitai-ate across his forehead, with a cloth similar in color to his arm bands.
As he noticed he had gotten a little enthusiastic in the of his speech, as he told his story. His arms still held high, as he shouted his encouragements, "Sorry," he apologized, realizing he had gotten himself carried away.
"No, don't be, your story was really amazing," Ritsuka told him. He was a dark-haired boy with blue eyes and a black and orange outfit.
"Yeah, I for one am glad we have someone like you with us to help us," Mash agreed with her senpai. Mash Kyrielight was a girl with short pink hair and purple eyes. As she wore a set of black armour that absolutely hugged her body, she was a demi-servant, with the spirit and powers of Galahad.
"I'll admit it's a rather interesting tale, to think we would find a servant from a timeline so different from ours," Leonardo da-vinci stated from a screen in Chaldea, having been listening to the conversation along with the director of Chaldea. She was a woman of considerable intellect, housing the body of the famous Mona Lisa. She had brown hair and blue eyes, wearing a strange, ornate outfit that was red and blue in color.
"Yeah, and I'll admit that your story is quite impressive, it reminds me of alot of the legends of the heroes of old," Romani Archman spoke as well through their connection. He was a man in a lab coat, having orange hair and pale skin. He was also the acting commander of Chaldea, the last vestige of humanity.
"Heh, well I don't much about your heroes, but I will say that I was a pretty well known shinobi back in my day, so don't worry, if we come across anything, I'll be sure to give it all I've got," the blonde assured, smiling at them as he gave them a thumbs up. And somehow, they each felt a bit more assured in their endeavors, despite all the odds.
"Leave it to a berserker to say he'll go head first into a battle, you really live up to your class, don't you?" Ishtar, a half-naked girl with dark hair tied in twin tails and red eyes. She wore a skimpy top and bottom that were white and gold, showing off her beautiful navel and thighs.
"Hey, hey, I may be a berserker, but it isn't like I got a high madness enhancement or something like that, so it isn't like I'll go crazy and off the deep end or something, so don't worry, it's all good," he told them.
"That's a relief," Romani stated, fearing their recently summoned servant might be more than they can handle.
They were the last remnants of humanity.
In the year 2016 A.D., the world was set to collapse as millions of people would die. Chaldea, the organization for the preservation of human order, and the observational base run by magus in Antarctica were all that remained. And with their rayshift and Sheba technologies, they were able to observe the future and the past. Sending their agents out to the singularities— key points in history that were connected to the extinction of the world.
They used servants, being from the past that were connected to the throne of heroes, and with it, they were able to claim the singularity's holy grail, the origin of the anomalies in the first place.
Ritsuka Fujimaru was the last master of humanity, and with an incident with a mole in Chaldea, all other candidates were put out of commission. Leading for Fujimaru to be the one to take on the seven singularities that plagued the past.
This was the seventh singularity, and the most dangerous, the origin of civilization, Babylonia. Being within the age of gods, demonic monsters, and heroes reigned supreme. But the divine proved to much, even for them. As three goddesses united to defeat Babylon and its King, Gilgamesh, and claim his own Holy Grail from his treasury, something they could not allow as they searched for the Holy Grail within the Goddess's grasp.
Using this world's laylines, they were able to summon a new servant to aid them in their endeavor. Forging a pact with Berserker, the most unruly of the seven classes.
Their next battle may end up being one of the most frightening, as they are fighting another goddess. Luckily, they had summoned a servant who was well equipped to face them.
"Man… it's pretty hot here, kind of reminds me of Sunagakure, although that dessert didn't nearly have enough plants. I can see why the useless goddess is wearing so little clothing…" Naruto sighed, wafting his collar, even if he was wearing nothing underneath, the blazing sun of 2655 BC was killer.
Ishtar took offense to that, "Hey, I'm not a useless goddess! And these are divine clothes, nothing a mere commoner will understand," she huffed.
"Sure, they are, I think that's just another word for underwear. I've seen the entire world, and still spoiled princesses like you never cease to amaze me. Where did you grow up, a castle of gold?" he questioned with a smirk.
As Ishtar looked annoyed, trying to voice a shout, before she stopped herself, huffing, as she crossed her arms, realizing Naruto was mostly right. "It was a palace, actually… a palace in heaven," she corrected.
Naruto nodded, he should have guessed, "See you all have nothing to fear. If the next goddess is as spoiled as this one, then we should be fine," he told them, much to Ishtar's irritation.
As they laughed a little at the goddess's demeanor. Although a part of them would admit that a small part of their worries were lifted, realizing they had a such a capable and inspiring servant within their ranks. Many of them had been fearing that fighting their next goddess might prove their undoing, seeing as they were fighting a divine spirit. Much like Arthur Pendragon, the Lion King, whom they had faced in the sixth singularity of Camelot, which they barely survived against when they fought her.
Before Naruto realized something, "Wait, who even is the goddess we're supposed to fight anyway?" he inquired.
"Oh, that's easy, it's Kuku~!" One of their last companions chanted, a strange looking brown haired woman in a jaguar costume. This was Jaguar Warrior, the exuberant creature of the forest who had previously worked for this 'Kuku' but had joined over to their side.
Naruto merely quirked an eyebrow, "The hell is a 'Kuku'?" he questioned.
XXX
Some time later.
"Ah, so that's a Kuku," Naruto realized.
They had been traveling through the forest for some time, as they had just reached their destination.
They had been searching for the Axe of Marduk, a mythological weapon of the gods that legend told was responsible for the death of Tiamat, the mother goddess of Babylonian legend. Tiamat, being one of the three goddesses they were set to face, and easily the most powerful. That had been why Chaldea had been searching for the axe, hoping the weapon's legend would be reenacted in their time of need.
Unfortunately, it seemed that to get it, they would have to face the goddess right in front of them.
Reaching the location of the giant axe, the first thing they noticed was the blonde-haired goddess standing at the top of the giant temple.
"Quetzalcoatl!" Ritsuka stated, seeing the goddess once again, the woman having previously attacked Babylon in search of new victims to claim, numbering exactly one hundred a day.
Naruto took note of her appearance, seeing her fully. She was a tall blonde curly-haired woman with emerald eyes and extravagant-looking clothing. Being an Aztec goddess, she wore the clothing of Aztec culture, as the only thing she wore across her body was an orange and gold pancho-like top and a cloth-like skirt as a bottom, both of which had many tassels. She also wore a set of golden bracelets across her wrists and ankles. With a tall plume at the top of her head that was adorned with orange and green feathers.
Naruto, admittedly, liked what he was seeing. And it wasn't only because he thought she was quite beautiful, with a curvaceous body, supple breasts with a rather unmoderate amount of cleavage showing through the V in her collar. Or the fact that her dress left little to the imagination in hiding her legs, a feature he noted to be quite pleasing to look at if he were being honest.
But what he took note of the most was her exposed naval, showing off the dedicated muscles she had developed. Her arms and shoulders were strong, and her legs even stronger. He noted her muscle density and mass, as well as the lack of fat on her body.
She wasn't like Ishtar, whose body was little-clothed to show off an aura of seduction and desirability. The same aura that had guiled many men to her chambers. No, she had the body of a fighter, and she showed it proudly.
Maybe this battle wouldn't be so boring after all.
"Hola! Welcome to my Temple of the Sun!" Quetzalcoatl greeted. "Fujijmaru-kun, I had a feeling you would follow me, yes~!" as the goddess cast her hand out.
Before she took notice of the new figure she was unfamiliar with, "Oh? And to think you would bring another servant along with you, eres muy guapo! What's your name, handsome?" she questioned, looking straight at her fellow blonde. She was using a strange accent he had never quite heard before, although he found it pleasing to the ears.
"Name's Naruto Uzumaki, at your service," he introduced himself, nodding to her. "So I take it you're Quetzalcoatl. Eh, beautiful?" the shinobi questioned aloud with his trademark grin.
As Quetz grew a wide smile across her face, gasping "Si! I am indeed the Winged Serpent goddess of the sun, Quetzalcoatl! Es un placer!" she greeted, saying it was a pleasure to meet him.
She stood before her giant sun stone, the great Aztec calendar, a monolith said to have recorded the past, the present, and the future upon it, being Quetz's second Noble phantasm, and a major source of the goddess's power.
If they were to destroy it, surely the woman would be weakened, possibly enough for them to beat her.
Quetz noticed Ritsuka eyeing the object, as she surmised what he was planning. "Oh, what's this? You want to break my sunstone?" she stated, setting them all on edge as she guessed what they were trying to do; she took it as a challenge. "Very well, I will accept any challenge you have to offer!"
"You see, it's my favorite thing to do! Humans are so fun to play with in any circumstance!" Quetz told them, to which Ritsuka questioned. "Yes, of course, I just love all of you guys! Honest joven! Humans give purpose to the lives of gods, yes~!"
"But if that's so, why do you want to destroy us all?!" Ritsuka questioned; he had to know.
"That's not what she means," Naruto stated before Ishtar could explain. "She means that it isn't just a hobby, but a requirement for her very existence, a duty she has been given, not out of fleeting thought," the blonde explained. The gods in this world were very different from the gods of his own. Here, they required proof of existence, of their very nature. Humans gave power to the gods here, and in turn, the gods required that power to exist, fostering a connection. Without the interaction of humans and gods, the age of gods would cease to be.
However, that didn't mean Quetz didn't enjoy that fact, she revealed in her connection to humans.
"That is correct, I am a deity who cannot live without playing with humans~!" as she gave a wink towards her resident blonde. "I love being the threat that causes humans to evolve so that they can survive," she told them, explaining her reasoning for doing what she did.
"I see, so that's who you really are as a goddess," a small figure stated. She had been silent up until now. Being a small girl with long purple hair and a dark hood, she also had a large scythe as a weapon. Ana was her name, the servant of the famous caster Merlin, another servant of this time period.
"Yes, you see, I have no intent on destroying humanity to begin with," she told them. That had been why she had resurrected the people she had killed, and why he put them to work in her camp, strengthening their bodies for the tolls this world might give them.
She wasn't a vain goddess, as everything she did was done for a purpose.
As she readied her weapon, a long wooden sword-like mace with several spikes on its edge. "And so, feel free to run away from the threat of yours truly!"
The goddess jumped into the air as the battle began.
Aiming her weapon straight at Ritsuka, with no opportunity for him to react. Luckily, Mash was able to push him out of the way just in time as her weapon struck the ground, leaving a crater in the air as dust was kicked up as it shattered into pieces.
"Talking with her is a waste of time!" Ishtar voiced, as she pointed her finger at the woman, firing several beams of light at her so as to create a distraction so Ritsuka and Mash could gain some distance.
Quetz merely smiled, blocking the beams with her weapon as if she were swatting away simple flies. "We can grow to learn so much about each other through battle, yes~!" she agreed.
As the two lancer-class servants in their ranks charged into the battle, poising their weapons. Jaguar warrior came first, striking high as quetz blocked it with her own weapon, redirecting the force as the warrior tried to strike. The goddess jumped into the air and out of the way of Ana's scythe, using the force of her leap to intercept the purple blade aimed at her and disorient her opponent long enough to strike at Jaguar's blade that was aimed for her at her back— the warrior having just recovered from her earlier battle. She did this several times, knocking her opponents just far enough that it would give her enough time to deal with her other battle.
To her, it was easy, as she did it with clear joy across her face. "Yes~!"
The goddess leaped over jaguar warrior, rolling over her as she then kicked her in her blind spot, sending the brown-haired woman back. In the same movement, she caught Ana's purple scythe, embedding it into the ground as she rolled over, kicking Ana into a stone wall and disorienting her as well.
"Wow~! I'm having a wonderful time, let's keep on battling!" she said in joy.
Ritsuka eyed her with Mash at his side, ready for an attack that might come at them as the battle continued. But no attack came, as a new figure stepped in between them. Causing the two of them to grow surprised.
"You know, I couldn't agree more…" a voice stated.
"Naruto?" Ritsuka said as his eyes widened, seeing his servant block his path.
"Wow, she really did a number on you guys. Sorry about that, I wanted to see how you each would do," the blonde apologized to his master. He had elected to hang back, seeing how his teammates and fellow servants would fare against such a person. Needless to say, he had decided to step in when things got too serious, like he could see they were about to become.
"Why don't you all get back and leave this to me, trust me, I can handle her," Naruto assured, looking back at Ritsuka and his servant.
"You can't be serious, it would be a whole lot easier for all of us to take her on at once! Surely you aren't suggesting we let you fight her alone?" Ishtar voiced her opinion, as her pointed finger was aimed straight at the Aztec deity.
"I do…" Naruto nodded.
As Ritsuka looked him in the eye, seeing the determination in his eyes. "Ishtar, everyone… clear the area, let's give Naruto some space to work with," he ordered, even as Romani and Da Vinci were telling him to do otherwise.
They cleared the area, leaving Naruto and Quetzalcoatl in the clearing alone so they wouldn't end up in the crossfire. And besides, Naruto couldn't have them breaking her Noble Phantasn quite yet, not before he could see what she could do.
"Well then, handsome, I was curious to know when you would jump into the action," the goddess stated."Well, you know how it is, I wanted to see how the kids would play before stepping in myself." Naruto started to stretch a little, first his arms, then the rest of his body. Before he put up a fighting stance, "You know, beautiful, you seem pretty strong, it actually gets me pretty excited," he commented, fists raised.
As Quetz grew a large smile, "Si! It seemed you understood the joy and excitement of getting to know someone in battle!"
The blonde nodded, "Yeah, I do." After all, most of his friends only got to know him after they fought. "Let's get to know one another."
The lull of battle was ended as the two sped off towards one another.
A crack in the air was heard as the two collided with one another, as each other's forearms met one another, both having blocked their opponent's attack before it could strike them, as each had matched the other's speed.
Instantly, they both vanished, reappearing on the other side of the clearing faster than anyone could see. Naruto's arm was firmly in a lock as Quetz had caught it.
Before they vanished again, once again a clap sounded as Quetz had tried for a cross strike aimed at his jugular, as Naruto was hunched over, blocking the attack and stopping it in its place from reaching his vital area.
All the while, each of them had smirked across their faces, each bout increasing their expressions evermore.
"Magnifica~! Your technique es muy grandiosa!" Quetz couldn't help but compliment.
As Naruto looked up at her, locking his gaze with her own, emerald gems much grander than any diamonds in his eyes, "And you truly are more beautiful than I could imagine…" he couldn't help but smile.
"Maybe I should kick things up a notch, eh?" the male inquired. He didn't need a moment for her to answer. Removing the internal limiters within his body. He felt himself brimming with energy, to the point even Quetzoalcoatl was curious why.
"Hachimon Tonkou!"
XXX
Some time later.
Both were on the ground at the end of their fight, each riddled with exhaustion, as sweat poured down their skin. Several bruises were on each of them, and blood was on both of their fists as they gasped for air.
"You know… I think… I think I'm in love," he gasped out, still exhausted as his back lay on the ground. Quetzalcoatl was much the same in that aspect.
Both had beautiful smiles on their faces, even with all the pain.
Quetz's eyes widened at his admission, "Si! I, too, have fallen in love through the joys of battling you, mi amor~! "
Naruto felt relieved in that aspect. You know, it was said that through battle, you opened your heart with one another, showing your opponent your truest self, and you could see their true self as well.
It was something that Sasuke said to him when they fought in the valley of the end, and that stuck with him. Lee, Gaara, Neji, and everyone else showed him their true selves, and he did the same.
Battling her, getting to know Quetz, he felt… he felt his world turn upside down. She was so beautiful, from her movements to her fighting style, to her hair, to her personality. He felt he had seen her true self, and it had resonated with him.
Her passion.
It was like nothing he had ever felt before.
She was like no other woman he had felt before.
The power in her strikes, the way they matched his own. Even with the Eight Gates, he knew he couldn't surpass her, and yet she wasn't able to surpass him either.
He was ecstatic; finally, someone was able to match him.
It was like a dance— a powerfully destructive dance—where each fought for dominance that they could not keep hold of. Honestly, he lost track of how long they had been fighting, as each moment was like an instant.
He tried to remember all that she did to him. From her kicks, to her punches. She even at one point had ended up wrapping her legs around his neck as she slammed him into the ground. That felt… strange.
"You know, I've never seen fighting moves like you use them. What do you even call it?" he couldn't help but remark.
"Of course, that is lucha, the fighting style of all luchadores in lucha libre! Es muy fantastica, mi amor!"
"Mi amora?" he questioned with a raised eyebrow.
"Si! My love~!" Quetz said, a smile across her face.
He thought she was beautiful, even when lying down.
As the goddess grew a confused look across her face, "Although I've been wanting to know something…"
"Go for it," he told her. Honestly, at this point, he was feeling over the moon. If she wanted to know the secrets of Konoha, he would tell them, not that they would provide much use. He was sure he had died quite a long time ago, in some foreign timeline he didn't know about.
"That technique of yours was quite deadly. As soon as you activated it, it felt like your punches had alot more passion to them~!" she pointed out.
"My technique?… ah! That, my Eight Gates!" He realized. "That's easy, that's the pinnacle technique one of my sensei's parents developed. It allows me to remove the internal limiters I have in my body. Of course, this is at the cost of my body feeling pretty sore afterwards." She had pushed him to use the seventh gate, the gate of wonder, which heightened him to much higher levels than when Gai had fought with Kisame during the war.
"A wonderful technique~! To be able to amplify one's strength and emotions within a single instant is most Soprendente~!" she complimented, in all her years of witnessing humanity, she hasn't seen anything like it. To think Naruto's people would even be capable of even facing gods using techniques.
"Well, it was my master that really mastered it, opening all of the gates; he was even able to defeat a primordial goddess," Naruto noted humbly.
The Goddess widened her eyes, completely bewildered. "EN REALIDAD?!" she shouted, shocked.
"Yeah…" Naruto said with a yawn, as he felt himself getting rather tired. Not nearly enough to dematerialize, but he felt his mana supply was quite low. He wouldn't mind sleeping here, especially not with the company he currently held.
"Alright then, it's decided!…" Quetz said excitedly, as she had been quiet for a few moments, lost in thinking. "I'll leave the three goddess alliance and join up with you guys."
"That's great!" Naruto said.
Hopefully, now the others would be able to get the giant axe of Marduk over there, and with it they would be able to slay Tiamat—whatever that was.
It should be pretty easy after that.
Hopefully, he could get some time to relax as well.
… maybe get to cozy up with this new goddess a little.

Some time later.
Unfortunately, life didn't turn out that way.
Although he should have expected it, the most dangerous singularity yet was nothing to scoff at, even for him.
Where should he start?
The King here died, King Gilgamesh, and so they had to go back down to hell to go and find his soul. Fight a death goddess who, oddly enough, looked alot like Ishtar— although she was alot nicer to be around if he were being honest. Fought Gilgamesh's weird clay ex-best friend, fought Tiamat, who turned out to be Gorgon, some sort of snake/bird monster woman who could petrify people with but a glance.
All in all, a pretty normal adventure as far as he was concerned.
What else was happening?
Oh, yeah…
The world was ending.
That would really suck if he were being honest.
"Well, isn't that something…"
He couldn't help but marvel. As the giant form of the true Tiamat was before him, a large unearthly woman with pale blue skin, with giant horns and pink eyes that stood taller than the kyuubi or even the Juubi could stand. From her essence brought mud, and her mud brought life, as her body seemed to utterly corrupt and turn the waters in the ocean into her own domain just by being near the ocean.
It had been quite a while since he had seen something quite like her, not since his battle with Kaguya, but even she seemed to pale in comparison to the actual mother goddess that was before him.
"Naruto, do you copy?... Naruto?" A voice was heard through his connection as a servant.
"Ah, right, Ritsuka, reading loud and clear," he responded, having been lost in thought.
Why was he here again? Ah, yeah, that was it.
After Tiamat had been awoken by the killing of Gorgon, it had been decided they needed a plan to stop her, lest the entire world be destroyed and taken over by the mad goddess as her mud covered the planet. The problem was that this mother goddess couldn't exactly die, not with life around.
So his good ol' master came up with the idea that putting Tiamat in the underworld would be the best course of action. After all, there wasn't any life in the land of the dead, was there?
It was a good plan; however, it would seem their blonde-haired death goddess had one problem with it. Despite their plans, despite their desires, the plan would require 3 days to complete after Tiamat had risen.
It had been 2 days since then, and unfortunately, much to their predictions…
Tiamat had reached the mainland.
Her unearthly powers pollute everything in her way. The ground, the water… the people. All of it was made from her essence. Soon she would reach Babylon.
How many people had she killed? How many people had she made vile creations? That wasn't something he could allow.
Which was why he was here. Someone needed their ass kicked, and he was just the kind of guy to do it.
"Kurama, are you ready? I'm going to need your chakra for a bit to speed up my healing factor, remember, like we used to?" He asked his inner demon, who had been sleeping previously..
"Hmmm…. Well, it has been quite a while since we stretched our legs. Not to mention, it would mean we had a hand in stopping not one, but two Primordial Goddesses. Sure, why not? I'm ready when you are." The orange fox sealed within him stated. The two had become friends with one another when Naruto had fought him during the war.
They needed to buy 24 hours so they could pull Tiamat into the Underworld.
Well then, he would do just that.
"Alright then!" The blonde shouted, the giant primordial beast in front of him, and he could do nothing but grin. As he poked his chest area with his thumb so hard that it pierced through to his heart.
"I suppose it's time to stop playing around… OPEN! EIGHT INNER GATES FORMATION!"
Instantly, he felt his limited chakra flow through him, every knook and every cranny of his chakra network, building up, moving throughout his 361 chakra points as they expanded, blasting open with a mighty roar. He felt his chakra coiled overflow, his heart started to beat even more with a rush he had not felt since he had fought Kaguya.
He felt his body being destroyed, his soul being burned away, as his spirit core was barely able to hold itself together. And yet…
Kurama's power knit itself together just as fast.
His blood boiled, to the point it evaporated straight out of his skin, leaving his body with a red hue as his sclera grew.
Shockwaves flared off of him, instantly shattering the ground into small pieces as it wavered under the pressure of his power.
This was the power of releasing all eight inner gates. The Final gate, the gate of death, leading to the user's death at the cost of unimaginable power.
Power strong enough to contend with a Beast.
He felt his skin crawling with anticipation, looking at the beast before him, before he turned to his side.
Seeing the beautiful face of Quetzacoatl next to him, who was just as ready to fight as he was, using her noble phantasm that was the sunstone to empower her to an even greater height, multiplying her divinity to as much as her spiritual body could take.
Matching his energy and his enthusiasm.
"Let's make mincemeat of this gran madre!" she shouted, as her form turned golden from her divinity.
Naruto looked at her, and gave raw smile.
Right, there was no one else he would want to be fighting with, as he nodded.
"LET'S DO THIS!"
XXX
Some time later.
'Did we win?' he asked himself within his mind. He didn't know; everything felt so hazy, that was usually what it was like opening the eighth gate. It was like an adrenaline rush times a million; there was so much energy coursing through him, so much power, he couldn't remember it all.
It was funny. Might Gai often had a bad habit of not being able to remember his opponents' names after fighting them with the eight gates. This was why, flooding his body with such a powerful rush, it didn't even give your body a moment to rest for thought.
You were fighting on pure instinct with the use of the gates, as your life depended on it. There was no time for thinking, no time to come up with a battle strategy or to practice a new move. No, you fought, and you fought some more, coming up with new techniques and fighting moves to you didn't even know were possible.
It was a surreal feeling, that much he was sure of.
Honestly, right now he felt like sleeping, he felt like sleeping alot.
Everything felt so comfortable, even the dirt he was on, and the rock his head rested on, it felt like it was sucking him in, it was so soft… wait, soft? Why was the boulder he was on soft? He couldn't help but question in his delirious state. Fixating on the small, superfluous detail as if his life depended on it, even though he didn't know why.
Finally, he mustered up the will to awaken in his delirious state, no matter how tired he was. As his cerulean eyes opened, he saw the Babylonian sky above, he saw the clouds, as well as a familiar golden figure in his sight line, one that made him smile.
"Hey, beautiful," he couldn't help but comment, seeing the figure of the goddess Quetzalcoatl above him. She really was beautiful, with her golden hair that framed her face, matching the sun, her skin tone, to her eyes. In all of his years of life, exploring all that the Elemental Nations had to offer, he had seen nobody quite like her.
As Quetz's eyes widened in surprise, seeing he had awoke, "Ah, Mi Amor~! Finalmente estas despierta!" She exclaimed, seeing that he was finally awake, accidentally reverting to her native tongue in her shock.
"Yeah, seems I am," He smiled, finding that quirk quite interesting.
As he leaned into her figure even more, he realized where his head was, making it so comfortable, his head was on top of her thighs.
Quetz had been letting him rest on her thighs all this time. Her thighs!
Kami, he loved this woman.
He felt he could rest there quite some time, probably all of eternity; he wouldn't mind.
"So what happened?" he finally asked.
As the goddess put a finger to her chin, "Well, after you fought with the great Tiamat, Ereshkigal was able to send her to her domain. After that, it was muy fácil to deal with her." Ritsuka then recovered the grail sent by Solomon that was previously in possession of Kingu, and they were preparing to depart the Babylonian singularity, far more victorious than all the others.
Babylonia had been saved, with a majority of Uruk's population protected due to no small part from Naruto.
Truly, there was no telling how many lives had been saved; possibly the whole world would have been consumed by Tiamat's authority. Each person is being turned into her hideous Lahmu.
"That's great!" Naruto couldn't help but exclaim. "I'm really happy for them…" he trailed off, leaning into Quetz's thighs as he rested a bit longer. Dirt was along his back, as the grass crept through his body, a gentle breeze tugged at his skin, as he smelled the faint smell of sunflowers crept into his nostrils. It was nice. Really nice.
"Si! They are right over there preparing for their grand exit, would you like to say goodbye to them~?" Quetz questioned, having already said her goodbyes herself, as she had hoped Naruto would wake up before they left, and he did.
"I… I don't know if I will be able to…" he told her, with a bitter smile.
He was glad his master had gotten his goal done.
Ritsuka had really proven himself in this singularity, being able to stand up against the people he did—the servants he did— while, to put it lightly, he was extremely weak, was not an easy feat. It took a special kind of breed to be extremely weak in the presence of titans. He should know, he had been there in the past, and he had full confidence that Ritusuka would shape up even greater in the future.
He had a feeling that his journey would not end here, despite what it seemed like the good doctor or da Vinci believed to be the final singularity before they took on Solomon. He could only hope that Chaldea would make it through their epic battle.
He just… didn't know if he would get to see it.
Quetzalcoatl realized what he meant.
"I understand…" she said with her head low. "How long do you think you can last?"
"I don't know, sometimes it gets weird with these things. I mean, I can usually recover if I open the eighth gate once, maybe twice, or even three times. But I'm not even sure how many times I opened it against Tiamat," Naruto told her.
'It was Seventeen,' his inner voice told him, answering his unasked question.
Ah, that explained it. Seventeen times to hold off an actual primordial goddess wasn't a bad trade-off if he were being honest. It was a hard endeavor, releasing the eight gates multiple times in a row, as each time his expelling of his internal limiters wore out, he would reignite it, keeping his strength boost up longer than anyone could imagine.
But that came at a cost, of course, even for him.
He could already feel his body wearing on itself, as if the world was repelling his very existence as an anomaly.
He felt his spirit core already shattered, and if it weren't for his immense willpower to keep himself alive, he would already be dead. And even then, he wasn't sure how much longer he would have.
Sure, he would love to say goodbye to Ritsuka and the others, but even that he didn't think he could manage.
"Do you mind…" he hesitated. "Do you mind if I stay here for a while?" Naruto questioned.
For some reason, looking up at the sky, with her golden blonde hair and gorgeous face in front of him, he was reminded of the sun.
Of the warmth of a summer day. Of his home, he remembered his village, of why he fought, his reason for fighting then, and now he had another reason. A reminder to never give up and to keep fighting, because there would always be another fight to give.
And for that, he was grateful.
She gave him a smile of understanding, as he looked at her, her eyes sparkled like the ocean. "Of course, Mi amor…"
And he smiled back as well.

"So it's time to go meow~?" Jaguar warrior questioned the two figures.
One with black hair and the other with pink, as they conversed with the two heads of Chaldea to get everything ready.
Luckily, they had just been visited by King Gilgamesh, who had just gifted them the prize of his own holy grail that was in his vault, giving them an extra one in their fight with Solomon, which would hopefully give them a fighting chance.
"Da Vinci says the rayshift is ready to go, all we need to do is send the signal," Ritsuka told him, relaying what the famous Italian inventor had told him.
"Uh-huh, but it is a shame, I was really hoping we would get to say goodbye to Naruto, after he woke up," Mash stated with a hopeful smile.
Before she saw both the look Rituska was giving as well as Jaguar warrior, both sensing Naruto didn't have long in this world.
"I'm afraid he's happy where he is now…" Jaguar warrior told her, neglecting to use her verbal tick at this time, out her respect for the blonde Berserker. Casting a glance at the flower field nearby, where the goddess and shinobi were resting, as Naruto lay on her lap.
She could see that Naruto's body was beginning to glow a golden hue, indicating his body was starting to give out, and return to the throne of heroes.
Just then, Quetzalcoatl leaned her head down, tucking her hair back as she laid her lips on his own. As she leaned back from the kiss…
As his form was gone.
And he died.

So that was it, he supposed.
It was a good life—or afterlife? Another life?- Honestly, he wasn't quite sure.
Such was the life of a familiar. As any living being, your life was temporary, not even the gods could deny that fact. As a servant, your life was even shorter. But that didn't mean you didn't enjoy it.
He fought, he lived, he loved. There wasn't more he could ask for, was the?e.
There was no more fighting. No more battles for him to be had, and no more rogue gods of destruction that he could slay.
It was the end, at least for him.
Although if he were being honest, it was a bit of a shame, really, he would have loved to have another spar with Quetz again.
In their original battle, he had been forced to use up to the seventh internal gate in his body, saving the exposition of his final gate for something special. But he supposed Quetz had her own trump card in her pocket as well, that being her last noble phantasm. What was it again? His head was still blurry from when he fought Tiamat. He was trying to remember something about turning herself into a comet and blazing like the sun— that was amazing if he were being honest.
He would have loved to have seen it against his own strongest form.
But alas, it wasn't so…
He wondered what would happen next.
After all, this was the end.
They had won.
The fight was over.
.
.
.
At least, that was what he thought.
But then again, that didn't always go along with his motto.
There was always another fight to be had. People to protect and people's asses to kick.
He supposed his job wasn't quite finished yet.
He opened his eyes as a flash of rainbow colors surrounded him.
After the show of fireworks and a grand display, he was within a metal contraption, a new summoning circle. In a base that was in the Arctic at the end of the world.
It seemed he had been summoned once again.
He caught sight of two familiar figures who were looking at him with joy and recognition.
A dark-haired master and his eggplant-haired demi-servant.
To him, it had been a blink of an eye, but to them, who knows how long it had been.
How much had they grown in his time away? Just what had they accomplished? And how much had their inner fires grown? He would come to find out in due time.
Well then, he supposed he had some work to do.
…The fight was never over, after all.
End.
