I'm going to leave the character Q&A open for July also, since lolol there weren't really enough questions. Also this was probably a terrible month to do it, since I wasn't posting anything from L&S and that's what always gets all the questions.

But I'll have Chiaroscuro next month! I might try an experiment where I post smaller sections/preview scenes throughout the month, then the full chapter all together at the end - for people who want to wait or people who would like more constant content because I'm so so aware that I'm absolutely shitty at that. I've decided to focus on finishing that chapter for next month, rather than the second part of the story I posted already, since...interest was super super low in that. I'll post the second half eventually, just not this month and probably not as the only planned story - I'm sorry that this failed and that it wasn't the content anyone wanted to see.

So there was almost nothing posted June, I realize. I'm super sorry about that. I would pause Patreon but I honestly can't figure out how to do it with the new site set up, but if you would like a refund for June because I posted nearly nothing and you weren't interested in the story, I will give it to you. I'm sorry, again.

I really really liked the story state lines. I don't tend to comment, so that's why I didn't say anything.

Teromain

I'm glad you liked it so far. I totally understand not wanting to comment, and I definitely don't want to make people think they need to, but a like is useful? Just so I know people are even reading the story, otherwise I have no idea. I don't want to make anyone think they /have/ to interact with posts though.

Hila Shacham

Ah no, let me rephrase what I wrote: I don't comment because I am too lazy to log in to Patreon.

Teromain

Oh, then can you get to the story links via an email Patreon sends out or something, without signing in? I actually don't know how the patron side of things works very well. I guess if it works that way, I can see why people don't really interact

Hila Shacham

Yeah, I get a direct link to a google doc (I am not able to comment or edit there, so don't worry).

Teromain

Ah well that is kind of unfortunate on my side of things. But I suppose it makes sense to work that way

Brianna

Because of the direct link, even if you are logged in to Patreon, you have to go to the site to comment on a chapter. Maybe you could put a link to Patreon at the end? Of course mb you think that's a bit over the top but mb there would be more feedback? Kinda like on FP a lot of authors put in please review at the end as a reminder? I love commenting but sometimes it can be a hassle to navigate the site

Teromain

that's true, and that's probably a really good idea. Especially since Patreon's set up is really really hard to navigate easily. What about posts like this, is there a link to the post itself in the email, or is it just kind of a dump of text in your inbox. I wish I knew what the patron side of things looked like or I had an ability to customize what it looked like but loool Patreon doesn't want to make anything easy for anyone at any time. But including a link to the post at end of the google docs is probably something I should do

Hila Shacham

I can't attach a picture here (I wanted to do a print screen), but basically - yeah, there's a link to this specific post (not to the comment per se) from our e-mail.

Would the smaller sections you post be in order? I think it could be good if the chapters were divided up to make shorter, more frequent updates.

Teromain

Yeah, it'd be individual scenes in order. Although since I write completely out of order, this isn't as easy for me as it sounds, but I'm really annoyed by myself and my failure to update things decently. And most people don't post 10k word chapters, it's like 1-2k. So these would be normal-people-sized "chapters" but I'd post the full thing also, in case people like to have a really long read
