So this is the most un-Christmassy Christmas story ever. Super sorry about the delay, just life in general bogging me down and I have so many things I'm juggling that it got overwhelming and I sort of shorted out. I even cut out an entire scene of this which I might slip back in there for the public version, which’ll go up later. But here's the final part, finally!

Santa Klaus: part IV

December 19 Case has a complete plan worked out for how to deal with the office Christmas party, which is going to crash down on him in about two hours. Already the file clerks are getting run around with setting up decorations all over the lobby and the ridiculous amounts of food in each of th...

Oh this is so cute! It doesn't feel like like it's bursting with obvious shiny & overdone Christmas magic, just more real. I guess you could say that there's a little underlying Christmas feeling under it all (I mean, Case is in a relationship now, even though it feels really fragile to him). They're both so precious I wish I could hug them x)

Thank you! When I do Christmas stories they usually end up kind of...normal, I guess? Christmas ends up being the catalyst for events and not the mood of the story. But it's my favorite holiday and I'm really glad you enjoyed the story! :)

You managed to thwart all my expectations (except the last) and still bring the story to a very satisfying conclusion. And that name, "Adalbrecht". What a whopper. Very long. And thick. And German. Sorry, I'm rambling here. :D Anyway, I wanted you to know I enjoyed it very much and that I hope this isn't the last I see of these two. ;o Also, I put up a couple of new pieces since the last chapter, so feel free to check them out. :)

I hope that means thwarted expectations in who was matched with whom? :) I'm glad you enjoyed it! There will probably be a bit more with them, at least the extra scene I cut out will probably pop up here and then go into the public version, but I have no idea if I'd write more for them (this was supposed to be a one-shot after all, haha). Maybe next Christmas!

Yes, that's what it meant. Basically, it all came down pretty much the opposite of what I was expecting, including the "get-together" scene. I was expecting the confession to come from Klaus, and certainly not in the kitchen. It was very different from the way I'd've written it (if I actually wrote) and yet I still enjoyed it, very much. If you can thwart your readers' expectations and keep them entertained, that's good work, at least in my own humble opinion.

Haha well I don't like to be too predictable! :) Also I never give my characters a break like that, too easy if the other person is the one who knocks down that final barrier /for/ them. They either have to make the move or make it so obvious that it spurs something for both of them. I'm glad that you still liked the unexpected way it went. :)

I loved it so much! Klaus is so gentle and understanding. Saw it was posted up on FP, too! Was hoping we'd get a scene with Case calling Klaus by his first name, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. Cute story and so much yes.

Glad you enjoyed it! There will be a sort of extended scene/longer ending going up here soon that'll have that type of scene in it...although Case probably still won't use Klaus's first name. :)
