All right, this is the bonus content for the last chapter of Tenebrism, the first 5,000 words of the first Chiaroscuro chapter! Naturally there's going to be tiny repetitions and mentions of details that just happened in the last book (and the last chapter even), since that's what series have to do, but other stuff definitely happens as well. This is probably half the chapter or more, and it's actually been completely rewritten like Tenebrism was though events are pretty similar. Some of it also might change in editing and the actual full chapter will be a little different.

Sneak peak: Chiaroscuro I

Chiaroscuro I. I shifted against the hard metal edge of the open patio door, scanning the chilly colorless sky for any sign of winged armored aliens. I was definitely hoping to see black wings right now, not white ones.

That was awesome! Martin MVP, what a cool guy. Best roommate award. I don't think I ever noticed him very much in the original drafts, but I really like him this time around! Thanks for sharing this with us :)

Hah yeah Martin was around in the original draft, just not as much. He had a pretty similar reaction there, but the whole scene was very different. He should get the best roommate award though :) The full chapter should be up next month!

I laughed at Keyd's response to Alan just telling Martin to use his short name. It's cool knowing the cultural reasons behind all these little exchanges.
