Skiagraphia XVI: deleted scene

Deleted scene! Like usual, it's a sexytimes scene that just doesn't need to be included, and it just makes the chapter even longer. But ya'll get to read it and it'd be canon, it's just not in the chapter.

This is a cute scene! I like watching Keyd adjust to suddenly not having the entities and having to deal with all the things that come with it. Also, who isn't a sucker for a oh gosh, it's cold, time to snuggle up together against the world scene. Is this scene the first time Alan's ever mentioned why he shuts down compliments, generally?

Alan did try to keep it innocent at the start! Keyd just thinks about sex too much, haha. And Alan has mentioned why he shies away from compliments before, although now that I'm looking for it I can't actually find where he says anything about it so maybe it's not in the story after all and got deleted. Augh. Well, I /thought/ I had an exchange where he mentions why he doesn't mind compliments from Keyd (sorta), because Keyd doesn't actually think he's being romantic, just truthful and straight-forward. Alan just generally hates people sucking up or saying flattering things to get something, though he knows by now that's not what Keyd is doing. So it just kind of embarrasses him now.
