You can't watch DARK in dub, that's sacrilegious. DARK is my #1 show, but it's not really a show you can react to and be an entertainer as well, it requires 100% focus. He can watch Shogun instead

Hey Alex! If you want an anime rec after this journey that will be a lot lighter after this genuine masterpiece of a story. I highly suggest watching konosuba in dub. It is a very great comedy. How ever if you wish to watch something that in my opinion is also extremely good I would suggest watching re:zero it’s 4th season is currently in production and releasing episodes every week!

I tried re:zero and got hyped after the first episode. later on I was fighting to get through it, hoping I was near some good part where things change and get good. I think I was some point into s2 and yeah I just couldn't do it. Im not tryna shit on a show you like or anything, it's nothing personal, but tbh the only reason id show Alex Re:zero is if I was trying to entirely turn him OFF of anime. I haven't been suggesting any of my top favourites for anime, but rather those that I think would be the best option for him to keep getting more hyped and then wanting to watch even more anime (being JJK and/or CSM since they're more mature and macabre and beautiful more "adult" art style and an introduction to more magic/fictional abilities and concepts. Those two would imo be perfect to bridge the gap and then doing stuff like FMA:B or MHA or Demon Slayer or more similar stuff. And, again, out of all of those only FMA:B is in my top 3-5. I hope the rest of the anime community here also has the best interest of the collective in mind rather than just trying to get their own favourite anime. In addition to that, I REALLY hope some fans dont get salty if their choice isn't getting voted, and then start voting for/against certain anime out of spite. Alex's 2nd anime will be of paramount and indescribable importance for what follows after, in regards to his anime journey. I implore everyone to exercise the most sage and prudent contemplation and logic for the upcoming vote and genuinely think about what would be best FOR THE LONG RUN, rather than just trying to get your personal favourite to win without any regard for the long run of anime; because trust me this can go on for years, and if we the "right" 1-2 win, then it will benefit us all in the long-term. godspeed, brethren 🫡

the only way youre going to be able to fill the void after watching aot for the first time is by rewatching it in its orginal form, in sub, trust me it will be worth it and will give you a completely different perspective on the show

Yeah man fair enough, I personally just rewatched re:zero in anticipation for the new season and I picked up on things I hadn’t really noticed the last time I watched, the new season has been absolutely killer and have been on the edge of my seat completely, to each their own and re:zero is no where near my favorite anime of all time I lowkey just have some FAT recency bias towards it. JJBA will forever be my favorite anime.

I feel like Alex still thinks of an anime as a genre and not a medium. Yes, AOT is one of the best drama/action shows ever, but there are so many other great anime series out there, and even if theyre not AOT, they are amazing. Just because Game of thrones was amazing doesn’t mean all live action shows can’t hold up, or should be compared to it. Love the reactions man! Just my thoughts.

My question is for the fans of Alex, i need to hear your opinion.i see often people begging for Alex to watch it in sub and i got friends of mine who tell me they watch it in sub too. Im clueless on why is it worth it. is not like alex or I when i watch anime i could understand japanese. the traduction is just a little bit different sometimes, but traductions is just a traduction. i watch movies in english because the actor know exactly the emotions he had to put it because he made the action, but in anime (or any animation) japanese, french, english or spanish actors are not the one who made the action. They all just improvise the emotions as they think is the best. I watch sometime on youtube or when the episode just gets out i listen in japanese because i don't want to wait and personnally i see no difference. i got the same story. so tell me, why do i need to stick my eyes in the lower part of the screen to know what they say in the story

Eren Yaegar, Anakin Skywalker, and Paul Atreides happen to be a few of my favorite characters in fiction. Something about the "Chosen One/Tragic or Fallen Hero" archetype is fascinating to me. Although these three are vastly different from another I can't help but see a lot of similarities between them. Eren is not the good guy in this show from an objective viewpoint. Would I make the same decision to sacrifice the world in order to save save the people I love, most likely, but that doesn't make morally right. I don't really see him as the hero or the villain in this situation. From my perspective, willingly sacrificing innocent lives negates ny claim you have at being the good guys. I hate to make this political, but this aspect of the show helped shape my viewpoints about what is happening in Gaza right now. War is such a complex thing and I can thank Attack on Titan for helping me have a new perspective in real life. This show is truly a masterpiece!!

Alex, as much as we all wish we had Sasha back, unfortunately she is very much gone. Kaya and Sasha are not biological siblings. Kaya was simply a child when her mother was being chomped on right Infront of her and she could not help or do anything, Kaya was next. Sasha found her, and saved her, she idolzed and loved her for that. Similarly, as there was a titan directly Infront of Kaya, and once again she couldn't do anything, Gabi saved her. There are a lot of things you have missed but this was quite a beautiful representation of heroism.

Alex, I'm pissing my pants laughing. Sasha isn't back, Gabi killed Sasha on the plane. It just symbolizes Gabi's act of kindness in the moment when Kaya was in danger. Kaya gets a flashback of Sasha, bcs Sasha was the one who protected her in a earlier season, when Kaya's mom got eaten in her house, Sasha saved Kaya by bringing her to safety. Its ironic bcs Gabi actually kilt Sasha. I hope you understand haha. conclusion ( Kaya sees Gabi standing there after killing the titan, but she visualizes and thinks its Sasha )

I don’t think it was kill or be killed anymore though, Eren literally had the founder, nobody could do a thing to him. He should’ve wiped out any potential threats to Paradis with just a few Colossal’s like Armin thought he would. Murdering every single human that’s not from Paradis is wrong, especially when he’s well aware that there’s a lot of good people outside the walls and they’re no different to his people, they’re just scared and/or brainwashed. Yes one day Paradis could still be at risk if Eren didn’t wipe out everyone but it could still be at risk anyway even if he does it. The cycle can still continue.
