Im not gonna say what it has to do with this movie, but if you enjoyed this 1000% I really think you'd like the t.v series "Beef" - season 1, it stars steven yuen a.k.a invincible a.k.a glenn from TWD and its amazing, please consider it or add it to a upcoming poll,

DropBear

Lol fucking amazing movie. Jeff bridges is such a G, always looks so badass and can rock so many diff hairstyles. Bald and bearded or short hair or long hair or in a western or whatever tf it is, always looks like an absolute unit and an affluent man on influence. OG 🫡 also, fkn remus lupin in this movie (thin moustache guy) was a fucking trip lmao. knew I recognized that voice but goddamn was not expecting that hahahaha. though it was litlefinger until I googled it

Violet

At least she isn't in it much!

Violet

Fargo would be AMAZING!

manija5059

200 is impressive, normal person happy getting over 100

Flea is in so many movies lol I love noticing him in movies I rewatch as I get older. Also love that he finally got some bigger roles, like in Babylon. Babylon was a fucking crazy movie, loved that shit haha hopefully Alex reacts to it one day. My brother works on film sets and the stories he tells me... bruh lol.... all I can say is, whatever youre picturing about how fucked Hollywood sets might be, is very likely considerably underwhelming relative to the reality of the what goes on here, and that's saying something 😅😂

Cole Romero

23:47 I honestly thought I’d never hear a quote I heard before from this. I’ve been hearing this for like 7 years. This specific sound bite. Thank you Ceedayy or Fearless. One of those guys for sure. Edit: wait, I remember. It’s from Transformers: Age of Extinction. When Bee is inspecting Stinger and Midsommar guy is telling him to calm down

Cole Romero

33:14 Wait is that Agent Seymour Simmons, from Sector Seven?

MikeCarr

One of my top 3 favorite movies of all time! I was so happy to see this uploaded

Alex, you have to watch all of the Coen Brothers movies. They all have the same type of dark humor as the Big Lebowski.

clayton fosnaugh

There go Alex vaping again🤦🏼‍♂️ just couldn’t wait till the movie was over.

MikeCarr

Fun Fact: In the scene that you paused to show us the candles in the bathtub, one of the 3 "nihilists" is Flea, the bassist from Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Reid Henry

Alex you should watch tron legacy, fun movie visually and sound track wise, and Jeff bridges

manija5059

you have good eye, see these candles . they take multiple times to film it and end up with mistake like that, its not that rare as you would think

Baba Yaga

We gotta get a reaction to idiocracy

Jacob Kent

Just keep telling you father in-law "yeah man" and ask for white Russians ( the drink ). You'll be ok

Jacob Kent

I had a friend who's uncle died and his last request was to have his ashes stored in his beer Stein. The uncle's name was frank, so he was frank in stein....😂🤣

Rocketboy

WE NEED SNATCH !!

Ethan

Are you doing the Michael biopic ??? Or did you see that with your wife at the cinemas

Coby Kerr

Plz watch due date saw a comment suggesting it on YT but seeing coffee wit ashes in it reminds me of that classic with Downey jr and galifinakis and nice cameos from Danny McBride and Jamie foxx

Coby Kerr

Can’t believe how many classic comedies you haven’t visited atleast on the channel hoping for the hangover,Borat, super bad sometime soon

The Greatest Slowman

There’s a popular fan theory that Donny isn’t actually a real person, at least in the here and now; rather, he is either a figment of Walter’s imagination, a PTSD hallucination, or a symbolic ghost of someone Walter lost in Vietnam. Once you watch the movie through that lens, a lot of Donny’s role starts to feel weirdly intentional. There’s a very good chance that Walter has an undiagnosed dissociative disorder. Dissociative disorders usually arise as a reaction to shocking, distressing, or painful events and help push away difficult memories. Symptoms depend in part on the type of dissociative disorder and can range from memory loss to disconnected identities. Times of stress can worsen symptoms, making them easier to see. For example, we see that Walter tends to get aggressive and even violent in calm situations, but manages to remain calm and level headed in high stress situations. This could further point to Walter’s PTSD and could explain why he continued actively practicing Judaism after getting divorced from his wife for whom he converted religions, as well as why he enjoys having a dog with him, even if it means he’s watching the dog for his ex-wife and her new boyfriend while they’re in Hawaii. Faith in a higher power and an emotional support animal. First, Donny barely exists outside Walter’s orbit. Walter is constantly telling him to shut the f**k up, correcting him, or snapping at him, but very few people meaningfully interact with Donny as an independent person. Donny is usually off to the side, misunderstanding the conversation, asking what’s going on, or repeating something out of context. That makes “You’re out of your element, Donny” feel almost literal: Donny is out of the element of the real story. Second, Walter’s entire personality is haunted by Vietnam. He drags Vietnam into conversations where it has no logical connection. He talks about his dead buddies who died face down in the muck, combat, and sacrifice constantly. So if Donny is imagined, he could represent the part of Walter that never left the war: a dead friend, a guilt figure, or a trauma companion that Walter keeps alive in his mind. Third, Donny’s function in the bowling trio is strange. Walter and The Dude are the real dynamic. Donny mostly acts like an echo or interruption. Some fans point out that the bowling world often feels built around pairs, not trios, which makes Donny feel like an extra person only Walter needs to be there. Also, take a closer look at Donny’s bowling shirts. Each time we see him, he’s wearing a different shirt with a different name stitched on it, none of which say “Donny.” He wears an orange shirt with the initials “S.C.”, a white shirt with the name “Ray”, a yellow shirt with the name “Austin”, and a blue shirt with the name/nickname “Jug”. Could it be possible that there was a Vietnam squad made up of Walter, Donny, S.C., Ray, Austin, and Jug? This takes an even darker turn when you consider that this likely means Walter was the only survivor and Do not was his best friend in the squad. Now he’s recreated a figment of Donny who displays little reminders of the other quad members by way of the names on his shirts. Fourth, Donny’s “death” plays like a release for Walter more than a normal character death. Leading up to the nihilist fight, we see Donny fail to get a strike for the first time in the movie. Even Donny seems baffled by this. After he sits down we see him flexing and moving his hand as if he’s experiencing pain. Could this be the beginning of the illusion breaking down leading up to Walter envisioning him having a heart attack outside. After the nihilist fight, Donny collapses, and Walter immediately takes control of the meaning of what happened. Then at the ash-scattering scene, Walter’s eulogy barely stays about Donny; it turns into another Vietnam memorial. He folds Donny into the dead young men of Vietnam, which is exactly what the theory says Donny really represents. Fifth, the lack of a real funeral, family, or outside life for Donny is suspicious. We don’t meet his relatives. We don’t learn much about his personal life. His memorial is just Walter, The Dude, a Folgers can, and Walter’s unresolved war grief. That makes Donny feel less like a fully independent character and more like Walter’s private ghost. While The Dude does occasionally acknowledge Donny, he never looks directly at him or converses with him. Perhaps The Dude is basically humoring Walter because he loves his damaged friend and knows Walter has this “PTSD buddy,” and he plays along just enough to help Walter cope, even to the level of asking the mortuary clerk to play along and present Walter with some unclaimed/unidentified cremated ashes so Walter could hold a funeral and say goodbye to Donny thereby finally releasing the trauma from his mind. What do you all think? Is Donny simply a real-life, clueless friend of Walter and the Dude or is he a symbolic reading of the traumatic after affects of war, PTSD, and undiagnosed mental illness that really ties the room together. Is Donny is the quiet ghost at the center of Walter’s trauma: always present, never fully part of the world, and finally “released” when Walter has to say goodbye?
