i made you something. sit down.

it's chess, except nothing you capture actually dies. every piece you take

from her changes its mind — it goes into your hand, and you can put it back

on the board wearing your colours.

she does exactly the same to yours.

so this was never a game about winning. it's a game about who ends up

owning what, and most of you are going to work that out the slow way.

HER PORTRAIT IS THE BOARD

no gallery. no unlock button. nothing to grind for.

her art is a straight readout of the position. the more of her army you're

holding, the further she comes apart — and the more of yours she's holding,

the more she enjoys herself. take something off her and you'll see it on

her before you've finished moving.

she doesn't hide it. she wants you to know exactly how you're doing.

THIS CHAPTER: THE BISHOP

"take your time. this rail has held longer than you have been alive."

she plays by a rule of her own — SANCTUARY. she may only drop what she

takes from you onto her own half of the board. her corruption defends. it

never invades.

that's not decoration, that's the whole puzzle. understand what it costs

her and she's yours. don't, and she'll sit there being patient at you until

you lose.

HOW TO PLAY

click a piece, then click where it goes.

click something in your pocket to put one of hers back on the board.

U undo · R restart · ESC pause

H shows you how to beat her. use it if you need it. she'll know.

no installer. unzip, run it, and your save sits next to the .exe so you can

take the whole thing anywhere. windows will complain about an unknown

publisher — it isn't signed, that's all.
