On a sabbatical from his master's thesis, Jerry plans to visit Nordic lands to inspire his research, especially the areas associated with his favorite myth, that of Fenrir. The perfect guide makes himself available, and Jerry sets out to keep a written journal of his experiences. However, even he doesn't notice anything wrong with what is slowly happening to him the longer he hikes. Or the mischievous grin of his guide as he keeps convincing Jerry that any changes are natural and expected.
