Akashic Quartermaster (Commander Archetype)

Combat Training: Akashic quartermasters use the Proficient progression for their combat talents, gaining a combat talent at 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter, rather than their normal progression.

This modifies the commander’s combat training class feature, and replaces their normal combat talent progression.

Veilweaving: Akashic quartermasters gain the ability to shape potent magical forces to empower their allies known as veils, which they draw from the rajah veil list. The akashic quartermaster uses their practitioner modifier as their veilweaving modifier, and has a veilweaving level equal to their class level. The saving throw DCs of the akashic quartermaster’s veils are equal to 10 + the essence invested in the veil + the akashic quartermaster’s veilweaving modifier.

At 1st level, the akashic quartermaster gains access to a pool of essence which can be invested into their veils and other essence receptacles to increase their power. The akashic quartermaster gains 1 point of essence at each class level except 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 (for a total of 15 points of essence at 19th level).

At 1st level, the akashic quartermaster can shape a limited number of veils per day. They can shape 2 veils at 1st level, and gain the ability to shape 1 additional veil each day at 3rd, 9th, 15th, and 18th level.

This replaces the commander’s commander, lingering commands and battlefield specialist class features.

Command the Entitled: If one of the akashic quartermaster’s class features would affect a creature benefitting from one of their shouts or tactics, those abilities instead affect a creature who has one of the akashic quartermaster’s [Title] descriptor veils shaped on them.

Empowered Titles: At 4th level, an akashic quartermaster’s mastery over akasha enables them to bind titles for greater effects. The akashic quartermaster can bind title veils they have shaped onto their allies to the Belt, Body, Chest, Feet, Hands, Head, Headband, Neck, Shoulders, and Wrists slots, even if they cannot normally bind veils to those slots. The akashic quartermaster, however, is limited in how many titles they can have bound at once: 1 title at 4th level, and an additional bound title every 4 levels thereafter. This ability only applies to veils gained from the akashic quartermaster’s veilweaving class feature; veils gained through feats or through another class follow their own rules.

Resplendent Guardian (Sentinel Archetype)

Combat Training: Resplendent guardian’s use the Proficient progression for their combat talents, gaining a combat talent at 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter, rather than their normal progression.

This modifies the sentinel’s combat training class feature, and replaces their normal combat talent progression.

Veilweaving: Resplendent guardians gain the ability to shape the gleaming power of their soul into powerful veils, which they draw from the radiant veil list. The resplendent guardian uses their Wisdom as their veilweaving modifier, and has a veilweaving level equal to their class level. The saving throw DCs of the resplendent guardian’s veils are equal to 10 + the essence invested in the veil + the resplendent guardian’s veilweaving modifier.

At 1st level, the resplendent guardian gains access to a pool of essence which can be invested into their veils and other essence receptacles to increase their power. The resplendent guardian gains 1 point of essence at each class level except 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 (for a total of 15 points of essence at 19th level).

At 1st level, the resplendent guardian can shape a limited number of veils per day. They can shape 1 veil at 1st level, and gain the ability to shape 1 additional veil each day at 3rd, 7th, 11th, 15th, and 19th level.

This replaces the sentinel’s sentinel’s reserve and second wind class features.

Chakra Binds: At 3rd level and every three levels thereafter, the resplendent guardian gains the ability to bind veils directly to their chakra, unlocking potent new abilities. The resplendent guardian gains the ability to bind slots in the following order: Hands, Head, Headband, Neck, Belt, and Body.

Improved Essence Capacity: The radiance of the resplendent guardian’s soul grows in power alongside them, further empowering their veils. At 3rd level, and again at 9th and 15th level the maximum essence capacity of all of the resplendent guardian’s essence receptacles increases by 1.

Channel Resplendence: At 7th level the resplendent guardian has learned to channel the power of their soul inwards, allowing them to activate the abilities of their veils more quickly if they only affect themselves. By expending their martial focus, or by taking 3 points of essence burn, as a swift action, the resplendent guardian can use a veil ability that could normally be used as a standard action, but only if it affects only themself. They may reallocate their essence as part of the ability, choosing whether to do so before or after they activate the veil ability. This veil ability doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity. The resplendent guardian may use this ability only once on each turn, even if they have multiple swift actions available to them.

This replaces the sentinel’s defender’s determination class feature.

Resplendent Poise: At 13th level, as long as the resplendent guardian can take purely mental actions, they can use their channel resplendence ability to activate one of their veil abilities even if they would otherwise be unable to act. In addition, whenever the resplendent guardian uses their channel resplendence ability they can ignore the effects of the following conditions until the end of their next turn: dazed, exhausted, frightened, nauseated, paralyzed, or stunned.

This replaces the sentinel’s sentinel’s poise class feature.

Diamond Soul: At 16th level, whenever the resplendent guardian fails a saving throw, they can expend their martial focus, or take 3 points of essence burn, as a free action, even if it isn’t their turn, to use a veil ability that only targets themself and requires a standard action or less to activate before they suffer the effects of the failed saving throw. This veil ability doesn’t provoke an attack of opportunity and counts as using the channel resplendence ability for the purposes of their resplendent poise ability.

This replaces the sentinel’s diamond aegis class feature.

Resplendent Surge: At 17th level, whenever the resplendent guardian reduces the target of their challenge to 0 or fewer hit points, they may use their channel resplendence ability as a free action, even if it isn’t their turn, without needing to expend their martial focus or take essence burn. They cannot reallocate their essence when using their channel resplendence in this way. The resplendent guardian cannot use this ability if the target of their challenge has less Hit Dice than half of their sentinel level.

This replaces the sentinel’s sentinel’s surge class feature.

Veiled Allegiant (Dragoon Archetype)

Veiled Companion: The veiled allegiant’s drake companion must have the akashic drake companion archetype.

This modifies the dragoon’s drake companion class feature.

Veilbond: The veiled allegiant’s magical bond with their akashic drake allows the drake’s natural attunement to the powers of akasha to flow through their bond, bestowing the drake’s veils upon the veiled allegiant. This bond also further amplifies the akashic drake’s veilweaving, allowing them to better attune to the power of their essence.

At 1st level, while the veiled allegiant and their drake companion are within 60 feet of each other the veiled allegiant gains the benefits of one of the akashic drake’s shaped veils. This veil is treated as bound if the akashic drake has the veil bound, and is considered to be invested with the same amount of essence as the akashic drake’s matching veil. This veil does not take up the veiled allegiant’s veil slots or chakra slots. If the veil is sundered (either the copy shaped on the veiled allegiant, or the original shaped by the akashic drake) the veil is suppressed for both. While the veiled allegiant is within 60 feet of their drake companion they can change which veil they are sharing the effects of as a swift action.

The akashic drake’s veilweaving is also improved by this bond; it uses the veiled allegiant’s character level as their veilweaving level for their veils, and for determining the essence capacity of their veils. Their improved essence capacity feature also improves, increasing the essence capacity of their essence receptacles when the veiled allegiant reaches 3rd, 9th, and 15th level, rather than the normal levels presented in the feature.

This replaces the dragoon’s brutal bond class feature.

Akashic Talent: At 2nd level and every even level thereafter, the veiled allegiant’s drake companion may either gain a combat talent or an akashic feat. The veiled allegiant’s drake uses its Charisma as its practitioner ability modifier.

This modifies the dragoon’s drake talent class feature.

Shared Investment: At 4th level, as long as the veiled allegiant and their drake companion are within 60 feet of each other, their bond allows them to alter each other's essence receptacles and share essence between the two of them. Whenever one of them spends an action to invest or reallocate their essence, the other may also invest or reallocate their essence as a free action that can be done even when it isn’t their turn. In addition, they can choose to invest their own essence in the other’s essence receptacles, or vice versa. If they move more than 60 feet away from each other while their essence is invested in the other’s essence receptacle, that essence is immediately uninvested.

If the veiled allegiant has no essence pool, they may use their swift action to allow their akashic drake to invest or reallocate its own essence.

This replaces the dragoon’s shared vigor class feature.

Akashic Drake (Legendary Drake Companion Archetype)

Said to be distant cousins of the akashic dragon, these drakes naturally channel the powers of akasha and channel essence throughout their body.

Type: Akashic drakes gain the akashic subtype, granting them an essence pool equal to their racial hit dice.

Ability Scores: An akashic drake lowers its starting Strength and Dexterity by 1, and increases its starting Charisma by 2.

Draconic Veils: The akashic drake naturally channels akasha in the form of veils which adorn their bodies with powerful effects. An akashic drake uses their Charisma as their veilweaving modifier, and has a veilweaving level equal to their racial hit dice. The saving throw DCs of the akashic drake’s veils are equal to 10 + the essence invested in the veil + the akashic drake’s veilweaving modifier.

At 1st level, the akashic drake can shape a limited number of veils per day. They can shape 1 veil at 1st level, and gain the ability to shape 1 additional veil each day when their charge reaches the following levels: 7th, 13th, and 20th level.

The akashic drake does not have a list of known veils. Whenever they gain the ability to shape a veil from this ability, they choose a single veil. They may only shape the chosen veil using the veil slot provided by this ability.

This replaces the legendary drake’s drake powers gained when their charge reaches 1st, 7th, 13th, and 20th level.

Natural Armor: An akashic drake is warded by their akasha more so than their physical bodies. Whenever they would gain a natural armor increase from their legendary drake progression, their natural armor only increases by 1.

This modifies the legendary drake’s natural armor feature. The akashic drake cannot select a variant that would alter their natural armor ability.

Chakra Binds: When their charge reaches 3rd level, and every 3 levels thereafter, the drake’s akashic powers further improve, allowing them to better bind their veils to their chakra slots. They gain chakra binds in the following order: Feet, Head, Shoulders, Headband, Neck, Belt.

Improved Essence Capacity: When their charge reaches 3rd level, and again at 11th and 19th level, the essence capacity of the legendary drake’s essence receptacles increases by 1.

Veil Tinker (Armiger Archetype)

Combat Training: Veil tinkers do not gain proficient talent progression, they still choose an ability score to use as their practitioner modifier level at 1st level.

This modifies the armiger’s combat training class feature, and replaces their normal combat talent progression.

Veilweaving: Veil tinkers gain the ability to shape the magical power known as akasha into powerful veils, which they draw from the kheshig veil list. The veil tinker uses their practitioner modifier as their veilweaving modifier, and has a veilweaving level equal to their class level. The saving throw DCs of the veil tinker’s veils are equal to 10 + the essence invested in the veil + the veil tinker’s veilweaving modifier.

At 1st level, the veil tinker gains access to a pool of essence which can be invested into their veils and other essence receptacles to increase their power. The veil tinker gains 1 point of essence at each class level except 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 (for a total of 15 points of essence at 19th level).

At 2nd level, the veil tinker can only shape a limited number of veils per day. They can shape 1 veil at 2nd level, and gain the ability to shape 1 additional veil each day at 6th, 10th, 14th and 18th level.

Customized Veils (Su): The veil tinker has learned to shape powerful weapon veils and customize them to their spiritual makeup, allowing them to draw and sheath the power within their soul much like a normal warrior does with their weapons. This unique form of customization allows the veil tinker to better adapt their armaments to their foes, but does not allow them to wield multiple of these customized veils at once.

When the veil tinker rests to shape their veils for the day, they choose 3 veils with the [Enhance (weapon)] descriptor from the kheshig veil list and treats those as their customized veils. At 11th level, and again at 15th level, the number of veils they may choose each day increases by 1.

They can shape and unshape these veils using the same actions a normal armiger would take to draw and sheath their customized weapons, and doing so counts as sheathing or drawing a customized weapon for the purpose of their class features. The veil tinker may only have one customized veil shaped at a time, if they wish to shape another they must unshape the first. These veils do not count against the number of veils the veil tinker may shape each day, and do not count against the slot in which they are shaped. Weapons created by customized veils count as customized weapons for the purpose of armiger class features.

The veil tinker treats all of their customized veils as if they were a single essence receptacle when investing them with essence, allowing them to unshape and shape these veils without needing to reinvest essence into them. This also applies to the Enhance Capacity feat. Abilities that only enhance veils shaped to a specific slot (such as an akashic catalyst) only apply to a customized veil if it is shaped in that slot.

If one of these veils would be suppressed, it is instead considered to be unshaped and cannot be shaped again by the veil tinker until the suppression has ended. If one of their customized veils would be permanently suppressed, the veil tinker can reshape it by spending 1 hour in meditation, after which they can shape and unshape it normally using this ability.

Eventually, the veil tinker’s mastery over their customized veils allows them to imbue them with knowledge pulled from the akashic record, granting them fantastical martial prowess while they wield the veils. At 3rd level, and every 4 levels thereafter, each customized veil grants a single combat sphere or combat talent while they are shaped. These talents and spheres are determined by veil tinker and assigned to each veil when the veil tinker shapes their veils for the day. If a talent requires making a choice as part of its selection (such as the Critical Genius talent of the Equipment sphere), the choice is made at the time the veil is customized. A customized veil must possess a base sphere before additional talents of that sphere may be added unless the veil tinker possesses that sphere, such as through their martial tradition, from the Extra Combat Talent feat, or levels in another class. The veil tinker may not use talents gained from a customized veil to qualify for feats or to meet other prerequisites unless otherwise noted. Spheres and talents that grant skill retraining never grant it when gained via a customized weapon. If one of the veil tinker’s customized veils are suppressed, the veil tinker loses access to any talents associated with it.

This modifies the armiger’s customized weapons class feature.

Customized Binding: At 2nd level, the veil tinker always treats their customized veils as bound to the slot it's shaped in, regardless of their normal ability to bind veils to that slot. If a customized veil can be shaped and bound to multiple slots, the veil tinker chooses which slot it is shaped in and bound to when they shape the customized veil.

Improved Essence Capacity: At 3rd level, and again at 9th and 15th level the maximum essence capacity of all of the veil tinker’s essence receptacles increases by 1

Low Chakra Binding: At 4th level, the veil tinker gains access to a low chakra bind. Each day when they shape their veils, they can choose whether they wish to bind veils to the Feet or Hands slot. At 8th level, they additionally can choose between the Head slot, and can choose two binds rather than one.

Middle Chakra Binding: At 12th level, the veil tinker gains access to a middle chakra bind. Each day when they shape their veils, they can choose whether they wish to bind veils to the Wrists, Shoulders or Headband slots.

High Chakra Binding: At 16th level, the veil tinker gains access to a high chakra bind. Each day when they shape their veils, they can choose whether they wish to bind veils to the Neck, or Belt slot.

Pinnacle Chakra Binding: At 20th level, the veil tinker gains access to a pinnacle chakra bind. Each day when they shape their veils, they can choose whether they wish to bind veils to the Chest, or Body slot.

Veilsmith (Blacksmith Archetype)

Combat Training: Veilsmiths are only considered to be Proficient practitioners, gaining a combat talent at 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter. They use their choice of their Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma as their practitioner modifier, rather than their Constitution.

This modifies the blacksmith’s combat training class feature and replaces their normal combat talent progression.

Veilsmithing: The veilsmith has learned to forge equipment formed of pure magical energy known as veils for themselves and their allies to wield. They treat every (Enhanced [armor]), (Enhanced [shield]) and (Enhanced [weapon]) veil from the Daevic, Kheshig, and Stormbound veil lists as their veil list for this ability. The veilsmith uses their practitioner modifier as their veilweaving modifier, and has a veilweaving level equal to their class level. The saving throw DCs of the veilsmith’s veils are equal to 10 + the essence invested in the veil + the veilsmith’s veilweaving modifier.

At 1st level, the veil tinker gains access to a pool of essence which can be invested into their veils and other essence receptacles to increase their power. The veilsmith gains 1 point of essence at each class level.

At 1st level, the veilsmith can shape two veils with the [Enhanced] descriptor each day. They can shape an additional veil with the [Enhanced] descriptor each day at 2nd, 6th, 10th, 14th, and 18th level.

Bestower of Veils: Whenever the veilsmith shapes a veil with the (Enhanced [armor]), (Enhanced [shield]) and (Enhanced [weapon]) veil from the Daevic, Kheshig, and Stormbound, they may grant it the [Title] descriptor, allowing them to shape it on their allies. If one of these veils could be shaped to multiple chakra slots, the veilsmith chooses which it is treated as being shaped in when they shape it. If the veilsmith could bind veils to the chosen slot, the veil is treated as being bound to that slot as well.

This replaces the blacksmith’s equipment specialist class feature.

Akashic Fortification (Su): The veilsmith has learned to fortify their allies’ mundane equipment with akasha, enhancing it with magical power and amplifying their natural abilities. When the veilsmith shapes they veils each day, they can imbue the equipment of a number of allies equal to 1 + their practitioner modifier (minimum 1) and grant them the effects of one of the blacksmith’s maintenances for 24 hours or until the veilsmith rests and shapes they veils again, whichever comes first (the veilsmith counts as their own ally). The veilsmith may select a different akashic fortification for each ally they affect with this ability.

Much like their [Title] veils, these akashic fortifications are directly tied to the veilsmith’s essence, and are considered to be supernatural effects, rather than extraordinary effects. If an allies moves farther than Close range of the veilsmith the akashic fortification is suppressed and the ally loses the benefits of all of their akashic fortifications at the end of the veilsmith’s next turn (or the veilsmith’s current turn, if the veilsmith moves out of range of an ally on their turn). If an ally returns to within this range they immediately regain the benefits of their akashic fortifications. Much like with their [Title] veils, the veilsmith can pinpoint the location of their fortified allies as long as the akashic fortification is not suppressed. If it is, the veilsmith can only gain vague information about the fortified creature’s location and direction, as long as they are on the same plane.

This modifies the blacksmith’s maintenance class feature.

Chakra Binds: At 2nd level, 4th level, and every 4 levels thereafter the veilsmith gains the ability to bind veils to their chakra slots in the following order: Hands, Feet, Wrists, Shoulders, Belt, Chest.

Veilsmith’s Masterpiece: At 20th level, the veilsmith has reached the pinnacle of their craft. Throughout their career, the veilsmith has collected and hoarded special materials, crafting secrets, and scraps of ancient rituals, all in preparation for their life’s ultimate work. The blacksmith chooses one of their [Enhanced] veils: that veil gains a +5 enhancement bonus, and the veilsmith may choose up to +8 effective enhancement bonus’ worth of special abilities to apply to the veil; once chosen, these enhancements cannot be changed. This ability supersedes the normal restriction preventing equipment from exceeding a total enhancement bonus of +10 including class abilities. If the veilsmith chooses to enhance a veil which they have already enhanced, they can choose to move the enhancements on that veil to another of their choice, or to regain an amount of gold pieces equal to crafting cost of the veil’s enhancements.

This replaces the blacksmith’s masterpiece class feature.

“ At 11th level, and again at 15th level, the number of veils they may choose each day increases by 1.” shouldn’t that be 19 to match the normal armiger progression?

Studio M—

Can't remember the exact reasoning I chose that level as is, but there doesn't seem to be any issues with it.
