Beau and Sun might be my 2 favorite songs in the GDLU rollout and neither is even on the album.

King

JID my goat adding another song to the AOTY!!! Another lowkey AOTY is Magic Alive by McKinley Dixon 🔥 yall should check it out

Fooly

This track so crazy bruh 😭😭

Keenan Nash

I heard some samples on this song weren't cleared in time for the release.

VibeVilla

whats your favourite on the album?

Mackenzie Kraemer

On McAfee, Community and VCRs. On McAfee is so hype.

I think since around Collard Greens/Port Antonio, Cole has shown he has leveled up lyrically and I expect even moreso on The Fall Off. I think JID might feel like he can do the same. That and song cohesion maybe: less scattered bars, more direction to make bars more connected and emphasized. Not that JID is bad at either of those things, just being nitpicky.

Star Line reaction OTW??? Chance came back with a fucking great album!

First of all, GDLU and sun are just so fucking fire. And I think this song would fit well in the album, but definitely not where it is as track 16 currently. I believe he said in an interview that it was supposed to be track 2 instead of glory, But he felt he needed glory on there. Regardless, JID been my favorite since i discovered him with The Forever Story, and this project just has so much more replayability for me. My only nitpicking with this GDLU rollout it that it's seemed a little messy and uncoordinated, especially with everything hes posting and saying on socials and interviews. Beau was apparently supposed to be on the preluxe, but he dropped it early and it never got added to DSPs. And now with sun, calling the whole thing an alternate version of the album just to add a song to the end feels off to me. He said that he made A LOT of songs for this project, and he plans to drop a lot of them. But apparently there is like 100 tracks he was talking about? I'd love a JID vault of music to drop don't get me wrong. But I personally would prefer it to be separate from the album.

Gents can we please have a KA marathon of all his projects then Roc marciano. I will post this until yall do it. All love 🙏

Kendall Marshall

might be top 10 record for him. this joint incredible

CartoCollective

Am I the only one hearing Drake disses scattered on this project? In this song he mocks “combination” and “bron bron when I dunk in the 6”… another on the project “I hear you on demon time and you sound foolish”. Maybe im reaching…

Mourice Williams

Came to comment this. It is very nit picky because the bars do connect, but there’s a level of cohesion Cole displays that is a bit more legible and digestible especially for the casual listener. All and all, an amazing album. I love every track and Sun was a cherry on top!

David Withers

People aren't giving JID enough credit for his artistic skills. If this was Kendrick on this album, they'd be glazing. I feel like the industry feels threatened and is hesitant to claim him as a top tier artist bc he can really push Dot in every aspect

Miles

JID does a great job on Twitter 1. Interacting with his listeners and 2. explaining his meanings behind dropping tracks after or before. Like the preluxe and 2007 on TFS

Ozcuro

This song is so smooth. I agree that it would have gone well after Gz and before VCRs. JID is always consistent.

Pynnx

JID man, I ain’t got nun else to say

MrMaan628
