This album was cool but nothing crazy from a bars perspective. I enjoyed the beats for sure

I think Cole hoppin on this project hurt PFG more than helped . I see people saying “I need some depth from PFG” but you’re asking a guy who is a gangsta rapper and only talks about what he see’s and how he lives for more depth . Yal wouldn’t ask for that if Cole wasn’t associated with the project . Benny the Butcher , dope rapper but on half his tracks he only talks about drugs and trappin . With one - two smooth bars on those said songs where he’s not talking about much . But we’re not asking him for depth because he’ll give it when it wants to . And thats some who drops 5 projects a year . From Coles verses , you’re expecting more . But for the last 6 yrs Cole has shown he can have fun and still show flow and skill on someone elses track . Why are we expecting so much from someone we don’t know of before Cole co-signed ? Kendrick gets on a Carti or Travis song where they not talkin about nothing and still show skill and flow . We gotta stop putting these people in boxes and let these artist have range other than just “depth” . And yea you can hear Cole on the beat because he made the beat lmao . Which Cole produced his last 5 albums , over 50% of the time lol . He just found someone that can also flow on his kinda beat . The project was dope , and so is PFG’s old stuff too . Yal in here saying ‘im only here for Cole , I won’t go back to the old stuff’ shows yal aint really about music . See where the artist came from other than who they have on a project . Dope reaction .

Appreciate the review. Always nice to see Cole involved in some form. Yall should def check that IDK album from earlier this year. Black Thought, Pusha T, MF DOOM, RZA, NO ID on it - some amazing tracks Also peep the new Sango joint - terrific producer goin two feet down into hip hop for the first time. Smino, Big Sean, Goldlink, VIC MENSA, etc on there!

Yall should really check out the new Gangrene album. Gangrene is the duo with The Alchemist and Oh No, Madlib's younger brother. It's got production from both of them and it's featuring Ab Soul, Rome Streetz, and Boldy James.
