Hi everyone,

Welcome to part 1 of the Eastern Rosella tutorial.

Part 2 is here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/113253231

The Eastern Rosella is a colourful parrot native to southeastern Australia, with a bright red head, vibrant yellow and green body, and rainbow-like feathers. They're real showstoppers in gardens and parks, and we often have them in our own garden - I love watching them!

In this tutorial, you'll practice a variety of techniques, including colour blending on wet and dry paper, creating a loose splash of colour in the background, and dropping in and mixing paint.

All of the files you need to complete the painting are attached below my message here. There are 11 progress photos included to help you .

You can download them individually or all at once by clicking on the "Download all" button.

This one is very different from your usual style. I really like it! I prefer painting looser sometimes so this is a treat! Thanks, Louise!
