One of our lovely community members, Kati, followed along with the Sweet Pea tutorial and wrote a blog post all about her experience - complete with tea breaks, paint mishaps, and some very relatable moments.

She shares what she learned, what went wrong, and how she pulled it all together. It’s honest, funny, and a great reminder that we all go through the ups and downs of painting.

Thank you Kati ! ❤️ its so heartwarming to know I'm not alone or weird or a wanna be artist with little ability. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

That was excellent, Kati🥰. Yes, many a time I have almost dipped my brush into my coffee🤦🏼‍♀️. And a lovely description of how we learn from, Louise👍🏻. Your flower was beautiful👏🏻.

The bit that sticks with me is ‘it may not be perfect but it’s mine’. It’s a lovely record of a watercolour journey, thanks Kati!

Thanks Kati, I don't feel over confident with my painting [still learning] but my preparation is often hit & miss. I had to laugh as I could recognise myself in your post ☺

So true Kati! Even if the painting seems easy it's always worth watching the tutorial beforehand...still learning that 😆and so much more as well. Loved your post ❤️

This was a fun read, thanks for sharing ☺️ Happy to know I'm not the only one that isn't always patient enough to watch a video first and then paint instead of following along as it's playing with all the surprises that it brings 😁 I'll be stretching some paper later this evening so I get to paint something tomorrow ☺️

Since I know I do not have high-quality composition skills, I would have thought I had written this myself. Everything about this blog, including the weather, is me. Well, except the tea :) So relatable. So true. Made me smile. Thank you so much. Please, keep blogging

Kati, sorry about the "e" at the end of your name.

Good job, Kati. I really like how you approached the idea of day 2

Kati, your sweet pea watercolor painting is absolutely lovely! Bravo! Your blog and your pup were darling! Blessings!

And now you should make this into a book form! There's more room for moto national books on the creative process. You have a gift at expressing something we all seem to share collectively.
