Tanya

fantastic tutorial ! I really like the contrast between the leaves near the rose and the ones toward the end.

Claire

I absolutely loved doing this. I really hate painting shadows but it worked woo thank you so much for another superb tutorial.

Louise De Masi

My pleasure Claire. Thank you very much. I'm glad you enjoyed it. 💕

Rebeca Mishler

Hi Louise; I have learned so much with your teachings I am very grateful to you. I just finished this rose tutorial, but I do not know how to send a picture of it, for your critique can you let me know? Thanks, Rebeca

Louise De Masi

Hi Rebecca, Thank you. There is nowhere for us to share photos of patrons' work here on Patreon. So I started the private Facebook group so we'd have somewhere to share our paintings: facebook.com/groups/118323255562001

The Gang Gang parrot is only on YouTube Thelma. I made it before I started on Patreon. I can email you a copy of the line drawing if you like.

What is a substitute for the pthalo green yellow you are using? Thanks so much.

Louise De Masi

Hi Renee, I think I might have mentioned something on the Supplies List. You could try mixing a vibrant blue like Phthalo Blue with a bright yellow to get something similar. A bright grassy green is the best way to describe it.

Oh thank you! I must have missed that. I have a Paul Rubens yellow-green that might work. I'm not too invested in having all the exact colors but like to get as close as I can. Much appreciate your quick responses and wonderful guidance on this journey.

Thank you. It is a pleasure to watch you paint, I am learning so much. I first heard about you on arttutor, some of the students on the site are members of patreon and recommended you, also on skillshare.

Louise De Masi

Thank you Cheryl. I'm glad you are learning lots. It's a beautiful medium to use once you begin to understand it.

Diana Musso

Just finished the dark pink rose tutorial, how do I post my painting

Louise De Masi

Hi Diana, Unfortunately patreon doesn't give us a community page to share paintings which is why I decided to start the private facebook group. Members there share their paintings and even display them in albums for each tutorial. It's a great way to interact, share photos and share tips and questions etc. Let me know if you'd like the link again.
