It's 'Share Your Studio' day on social media today so I snapped a few photos this morning of my painting room. This is my happy ' escape the world' room. Now that Dom and I are empty nesters we have three spare bedrooms that only get used when the kids come home for a visit so we turned one of them into a painting room. I have a video on YouTube that shows this room more closely and also shows where I used to paint. If you're interested and you haven't seen it, it's here https://youtu.be/crrRlcGsd0M

If you are a member of my painting group on Facebook feel free to share photos of where you paint. I'd love to see where you set yourself up, whether it's a room or just a corner of the dining table https://www.facebook.com/groups/118323255562001/

I'm at my computer today trying to finish the Monstera Leaf tutorial for you. I hope to have it uploaded in the next day or two. Then I thought I might paint a Sea Turtle. 🤔

I used to have a whole room but now I paint in the dinning room☺. All my art supplies are in a hall closet in a rolling cart with shelves. Currently I am working on fantail bird. Just finished the rabbit painting 😄.

Debbie Renwick

Could we have some more bird tutorials? I see notices about them on Skillshare and hoped we would get some of them too.

I see the dresser is finally ready - Your hubby did a fine job DIYing it, it looks lovely and soo comfortable! I've always preferred shallow drawers and felt standard ones have a lot of wasted space as in order to fully utilize the space in them you have to stack items on top of each other, which means you can never see what you actually have not to mention have easy access to them. It's also very comfortable for storing paper as you had noted too. Your studio is just lovely, atural and peaceful. One small question - do you paint on top on a towel for a water control reason (drying times etc) or is it just in order to protect your table top?

Marijke de Boer

Sea turtle - now that would be so cool! Can't wait:)

Louise De Masi

Thank you Palmira! I love the paper cabinet. It was such a mess before he did it up and it's so useful now. I love breathing life back into old discarded things. I'm very grateful to him. The towel is just there to protect the table top from water and paint.

Sea turtles! Yea! I live less than a mile from Clearwater Marine Aquarium which has a staff that goes out on our beach and safeguards their nesting areas! 😊

Best part of your studio is the bright cheerful space using white and sunlight!

Yes, Sea Turtles are so cool! I live in Sarasota, Florida and we have people who walk the beaches to protect them when its hatching season.

I read a book about sea turtles to my 3 yr old granddaughter and she asked me to draw a sea turtle for her to paint. She did an amazing job!

I love your studio so much! Now all I can think about is finding one of those beautiful cabinets! I would love a tutorial on sea turtles!! I love the variety of things you paint. Thank you 🙏
