Hi everyone,

I need to thank you for all of your suggestions for future tutorials. I have so much to think about for 2020. I really appreciate you taking the time to write. I find your suggestions invaluable and I will do my very best to work my way through them all.

I need to do some research, some reflecting and some metacognitive thinking! For some of the suggestions I'll need to get inside my own mind and understand my own way of thinking so I can help you more.

I orderd a book online last night about all the different watercolour pigments so that will help me with your colour questions. I also want to thank Helena for her suggestion about splitting the larger line drawings onto two A4 size files so that you will have a larger line drawing that you can print on two pieces of paper and tape together.....Doh! Why didn't I think of that?

So I've just split the Zebra line drawing in two so you can have an enlarged version. All you do is print the top half on one piece of paper and the bottom half on another and then tape them together so you can trace it. I'll do that moving forward now with new tutorials. I've attached the enlarged version to Part 1 of the Zebra tutorial (where all the other files are). https://www.patreon.com/posts/32340009

Last night I finished the White Daisy tutorial. I'm currently uploading the videos so I'll post them when they are ready.

Don't forget to bookmark the Patreon index that I have on my website: http://www.louisedemasi.com/new-index

It's much easier to use the index than to try and scroll through the posts here on Patreon. As I put more tutorials on here I'll start to separate the index into categories such as:  'beginner' , 'birds', 'botanical,' etc.

Thank you again!

❤️

It was a terrific idea to make the drawings a bit ’bigger’. I also have a wish for 2020; an eagle or similar bird; that would be awesome! Do you also paint water? That is so difficult aswell as a sky! I wish you a Merry Xmas and a happy new year and I am looking forward to folllwing you on borh Skillshare and Patreon!! All the best, Annika❣️

Thank you for the update. I have succeeded in creating my first line drawing. It is a fish crow. They are very common in Florida where I live. Fingers crossed that I can execute the painting.

Thank you Annika. I have a Bald Eagle I want to do very soon and water is on my list for 2020 as well. Have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. 🎄❤️

I’m on another site that puts the out line on to print off. It as a file for A4 print off. Also the larger print off file in 2 print outs. I think this works for everyone.

Louise De Masi

Well done! Good luck Amy. I hope it turns out ok. I've never seen a fish crow. I'll have to look it up. ❤️

Suggestion re enlarging photos, if you go to your printer in Windows "settings", you can make it print across 2 pages in there, this will Louise having to split the files.

Louise De Masi

That sounds interesting. Can you post the link Pam?

Amy Arendsen

Thank you. I will let you know where I get stuck. 🥰

I dont have a printer so went too the local stationary store. I had previously split the drawing at home just on phone edit and got them to print out on a3. Good result. Little effort on my part. Thanks Louise, have a happy Christmas. Robyn

Thanks Louise for all you do. Have a safe, happy and healthy Christmas and New Years!

Cool colours vs warm colors. That always seems to confuse me.

I would like to learn more about shading and color value. My painting sometimes looks flat because I don't use them correctly. Or sometimes, I painted too dark when I supposed to paint gradually...light to dark...a lot of grazing. I need to practice them more!

I would like to learn more about shading and color values because sometimes my painting looks so flat! I need to practice gradual grazing and learn how to see the shadow. Thank you so much for your time and effort for all tutorials! Have a wonderful Christmas and happy, healthy and prosperous 2020! Stay cool!

Thank you very much for your commitment Louise.

I use a wonderful online tool called Rapid Resizer. You can use it to resize photos across multiple pages, plus it’s a cropping tool, a drawing tool, changes shading etc. Check it out.

You're are such a thoughtful and caring teacher. I love being your student because you listen to our needs based in love. I can feel it! Thanks for resizing the zebra, I'm really looking forward to painting it. I feel I am taking my time more now and being more thoughtful with the process of painting, since becoming your student. I am a working artist, and am always seeking to expand and grow. I don't get to paint as much as I want to from your classes because of my work. But I wanted to let you know that being your student has contributed greatly to my skills and feeling of competency. Thank you for everything you do Louise.

Thank you so much for your kind message Nicoline. I'm sitting here at my computer checking over my next tutorial at the moment. My days working are always lonely and tiring and I often stress about providing new tutorials as quickly as I can. I put pressure on myself. So it really lifts me when I get lovely messages of appreciation like this. Thank you! I'm so grateful to be a part of the journey with you. 💕

I hope you know that you are providing more than enough already. You are allowed to go as slow or fast as you want or need to, and we will adjust to you. Some teachers release only one tutorial per month and that is totally okay. Your health and feelings of ease and joy are the most important place to come from. I feel lonely as an artist too. I was never brave enough to reach out like this before, but you have always felt so kind and approachable that I felt safe to. Your courage to create videos online while being a sensitive, sweet soul is very inspiring to me. I, and so many others, truly appreciate you and what you do and most importantly who you are. Thank you!
