Hi everyone,

It's the end of the year and we are all busy and distracted so I'm putting together a tutorial for this little daisy painting. It's fairly simple and quick to paint. I'm hoping to have it ready for you before Christmas. I did the voice over yesterday but I want to include a section at the beginning of it for my beginners where I demonstrate the techniques I used to paint it more closely. I'll do that over the weekend and hopefully I'll have it posted early next week.

When you get a spare moment I'd love to know what things you are not sure about. What is it with painting in watercolour that confuses you? What techniques are you finding difficult?  I need to know these things so I can address them in my videos. I know what I know but I don't know what you know.  I want to start planning content for next year so any insight you can give me is very valuable.

Leave a comment below when you have time.

Thank you!

Love all the tutorials you do. I find you emcplain everything very well. My biggest problem is getting to actually paint. For some reason it scares me after I had a long break. And at the end of the day it's only paper but it's so intimidating 😭

Christine Kilger

Hi Louise, I love your tutorials. What would be most useful is the theory on how you approach an image and break it down into how you approach it with watercolor. Maybe even a diagram of what you are seeing and translating. For example, why you are choosing this technique to paint this section versus another choice. Also, it would be great if I could send you an image and select an area that is challenging, and then you could show us how you approach it in watercolor. For me painting a chandelier or lit beads or metallic lace is very challenging. Thank you! You could also offer this as a per hour tutorial vis skype of something. I know I would pay for that! I make lampshades and want to try painting them and it is very challenging.

Lydia Shemain

Thank you Louise for GREAT instruction. Louise, when time permits could you do a few simple flowers — petunias, Lillies — something that we loose painters could paint without adding too much detail. Thank you. Merry Christas and Happy New Year to you and your family. Love your online tutorials — so enjoyable.

Sarah Bailey

I need help going from image to sketch to plan. I can follow your tutorials using your line art but where I fall short is doing the same thing myself from scratch. Thank you! Oh also I’d love more (easy) botanicals/florals if you’re in the mood!

Kimberly

Well, I’m just trying to keep up with the tutorials you have now !😅 How long do the tutorials stay on Patreon before you rotate the off.... because I still need to do zebra, rabbit , white rose, gardenia, etc.... I’d like to do a giraffe to go with zebra, or elephant. I need to practice all the techniques and know when to use them if I were trying to plan my own painting . Anything you’re willing to have fun with as well, I’d like to do.

Louise De Masi

Thanks Kimberly. The tutorials are here to stay for now. I won't be taking them of any time soon so there's no need to rush through them.😊

Louise De Masi

Thanks very much Sarah. A few people have said that to me recently (about not knowing where to start with their own reference photos).

Louise De Masi

Thanks Lydia. Definitely! Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you too.

Louise De Masi

Great ideas Christine. I have lots to think about. Thank you!

Louise De Masi

I know that feeling well Chantelle. It is only paper but it's expensive paper 😬.

Ann C Griffin

I have trouble in keeping wet edges for backgrounds without the areas where colors meet becoming harsh and overworked. I also second translating photos or subject ideas onto paper, as well as organizing the painting sequence. I see you move about your paintings in a very knowing way. You always seem to know what to do in what order. I imagine a lot of this is just experience and knowledge of how the paint behaves, but I've always had difficulty knowing how to organize the painting of different elements in a painting. Thanks Louise!

Amy Arendsen

I have been pushing myself to paint on my own using what I have learned. The problem is that I find myself getting stuck and getting flustered. What is your process when planning out how to execute a painting? Do you follow an outline? thank you.

Kathleen Staley

I wish you had a beginner syllabus . Sometimes the two-hour tutorials are overwhelming . I always seem to get lost at about 45 min. I have a hard time getting my lines crisp . I did the wren and the body was good, the blending on the tail I was lost Maybe smaller projects that just focus on one skill (mostly)

Bette McDowell

I love all of your tutorials! I definitely need help with determining color choices, especially for shadows. I would also like to see another succulent or a cactus tutorial. 😁 That's my favorite subject.

Claire

Hi Louise the daisy to looks spectacular. Well my problem is hair or sometjingvvery bushy. I'm just doing the cow tutorial and would love to try a Aberdeen Angus highland cow, the big hairy types. I'm going to try the dog tutorial as that one is a hair class. Your classes and range are fabulous and I'm so grateful.

Cecilia Nuyianes

I agree with all previous comments. I am listening to everything you say...Paper...Brush.. kinds of paints. ..Letting the paper dry..I am gradually making changes. I don't copy your subject, but I apply your teachings to my work. I am also interested in acrylics and gouche. I watch your video... Paint...Then rewatch. You are teaching me to be patient..

Kathy Stewart

I love hummingbirds. Maybe hummingbirds w flowers. Definitely love to do more flowers face on rather than side views where I have trouble w perspective. Also love succulents and cactus. Do you ever do landscapes? Maybe mountains or sailboats on a lake or other water scenes? And elephants - love elephants. Thanks you for keeping the tutorials on indefinitely. Right now have no time but hope to soon!

Cecilia Nuyianes

I had some white daiseys with the green centers..Painting the white on white.is tricky..I see you have 1 flower and judging size of brushes your work space paper must be about 12". I have not used the hot press paper yet..But I have moved up to Arches 100% cotton.

Tina Frey

How to go from a photo to sketch. I am not good a drawing and I can’t seem to figure out how to make my own outlines. Understanding how to make good color choices. Choosing shadow colors. How to choose and add an unusual pop of color for interest. How to make larger outlines for bigger projects. And lastly I’d love to see more animals. Perhaps a long hair cat and a short hair cat. Do you ever do landscapes or portraits? I love your teaching and painting style. I am drawn to florals, birds and animal. I am looking forward to working through more of your tutorials.

Randelle McClure

The thing I have the most trouble with is mixing colours without muddying them.

Louise De Masi

Thanks for your input Amy. There are a few asking about this. I'll have to do some reflecting and think about my thinking so I can let you all know what I do.

Louise De Masi

I hear you Kathleen. That's one of the things I want to include next year. More beginner focussed tutorials. Some simple subjects that aren't too detailed that can be painted quickly. Thank you!

Louise De Masi

Thanks Bette. I love succulents too. All noted! 💕

Louise De Masi

Thank you Claire. A highland cow would be great to do. Thank you for the suggestions.

Louise De Masi

Thanks Cecilia. Acrylic and gouache definitely! I wish I didn't have to sleep. There's so much I want to do!

Louise De Masi

Thank you Kathy. Hummingbirds are on my list. I've painted landscapes in acrylic but never watercolour. It's definitely something I want to do though because a few people have asked about them. I'll do a few practice paintings first and when I get one I like I'll repaint it and film it.

Louise De Masi

I hope you are enjoying painting on the Arches. This daisy I painted on hot pressed but it doesn't have to be. Cold pressed is fine.

Louise De Masi

All great suggestions. Thank you Tina. I'll make a video showing how my methods of how I get the drawing onto the paper. Larger outlines: I use Photoshop and all I do is print the reference photo or drawing onto two, three or four pieces of ordinary printing size paper. Then I tape them together so I can trace over them. You probably don't have Photoshop so I'll do a bit of investigating to see what free programs you can use to do that. Landscapes and people I have painted in acrylic but never in watercolour so I need to practice before I would feel confident teaching them. That's on my list of things to do in 2020.

Louise De Masi

Thanks Randelle. Great suggestion as that can often be a problem.

Karen morovich

Louise. I agree with a lot of the comments so far on learning your thought process on how to approach a project from the beginning to end. Once you find a photo that interests you how to do take the next step and why. I can certainly follow your tutorials and I have been quite successful with following them but then don’t know where to start when i find my own photo. Also how do you determine the unusual colors that you use in paintings such as the pelican called angel wings on your website. I think more on your thought process would be very helpful to me. It would be nice to have a ‘step by step’ of your start to finish thought process would help us to approach future paintings on our own. Also thanks so much for doing the zebra. I hope to paint it soon with some of my own touches on it using your guidance in the tutorial. Thanks for asking us for things that we would like to learn.

Katherine Antonini

Hi Louise! What I would love to learn how to do is the rainbow abstract paintings (almost always animals). I watch as many online videos as I can to try to master it, but the videos are sped up horribly. Even if I slow them down as muc h as I can, it’s hard to decipher what exactly the artist is doing. I think a video in real time with voice overs would make it so much easier to follow and understand. Thank you so much Louise! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year !!

Michele Miller

In line with previous comments, I take many photos with my Nikon (animals) and my goal has always been to paint my own photos. I also do photo shoots with peoples fur babies and would love to paint them too. I can follow your tutorials well, but the minute I try to do my own, the colors don’t turn out right, get muddy, or although I also use Photoshop to make good outlines, or what I thought was a good outline, somehow I still get lost then when painting the details. I follow a lot of artists on Patreon as well as on YouTube, your style and teaching is always my favorite ❤️. No matter what you are teaching, I always learn more and enjoy your lessons! Thank you so much, and Happy Holidays!

Yolonde

I have really enjoyed your range of subjects, each one has taught me different things and enabled me to paint a subject I would never have tackled by myself. It has been a great joy to me to paint so many wonderful things with you. I have painted a few subjects of my own and the practice I do with you has held me in good stead for those projects as I slowly get that technique memory bedded down. My wish list was the crow which I am over the moon at being able to paint that. For next year I am looking forward to your "surprise" subjects whatever they may be. Thank you so much for your artistic generosity.

Chantelle Venter

Yes indeed very expensive paper. I've gathered a few pads of the Arches but still to scared to use it. I think I've done 1 painting on it so far. Then I used cheaper paper for the others.

Jayne Gollings

I think explaining the planning would be useful, for example what comes first, background or subject

Jayne Gollings

Sorry my iPad is having a moment this morning! Also what do you do with your failures, bin or reference? You’ve taught me so much in a short period of time that I’ve gone from never having painted with watercolour , or anything else for that matter, to selling my first painting in 10 weeks. A big thank you.

Susanne Norling

I would love to see tutorials of berries and fruits like pineapple, raspberries, lemons, oranges, etc. And more furry animals, maybe a fox? Fur is always hard. And spots and stripes...The zebra was awesome, maybe a giraffe? i just love your style of painting and your awesome tutorials, so please keep them up and continue! A tag index on separate website (I’ve sent you a PM with examples) would also be awesome.

Louise De Masi

Thanks Susanne. Vegies and fruit are definitely on my list and Giraffes are something I love to paint. For those who don't know I have an index of the tutorials on my website. I know how difficult it is here on Patreon to find what you are looking for. Here's the link you can copy and paste it into your browser http://www.louisedemasi.com/new-index I've also put the link on the overview page of Patreon. It's in bold underneath the photograph and welcome video in the blurb.

Louise De Masi

Thank you very much! That's really good to know. I've been doing a lot of thinking today about why I do what I do when I start a painting. I'll put a video together next year about this. 💕

Louise De Masi

Hi Katherine. Thank you for the suggestion. Could you put a link or two in a message so I can have a look at what you mentioned? I've had a quick look but I'm not sure I'm looking at the right thing. Thanks.

Marijke de Boer

I am happy with all your tutorials so far. I seem to be hopeless with salt - so something with salt would be great. I am not entirely on top with all your tutorials so apologise if you recently did use salt.... best wishes for the festive season, I hope the fires go away soon and wish you lots of paintings for 2020!

Nickie

I love your tutorials. Thank you so much for them. My struggle is colors and knowing what colors to use to get that perfect “pink” or “yellow”.. what colors to mix for shadows etc. thank you again!

River

Hello Louise. First, thank you for being so generous with your talent. I am a struggling self-taught wanna be artist. Please do more of the beginner paintings. Please. At this time can you recommend , besides the cute Christmas one, a painting to start with. And yes I have watched all your tutorials. Again thank you!!

Beth Fox

I love all that you share with us! I have learned so very much from your presentations and your style! I would love a few tutorials about how to rescue a painting that you don't want to ditch! I was working on a commission of a friend's cat and messed up a paw. :-(

Pam Williams

Hello Louise. I love all your tutorials. I’m a newbie to your site. Love it . love it. Im just finding one problem. Maybe it’s me. But l first watch the full length video. Then follow you from one stage to the next. But I find it very frustrating when I pause the video to catch up with you. When I press to start again, the video keeps going back to the start !!!

Pam Williams

im sitting here in England doing the zebra tutorial. I very worried for you. Are news on the telly keeps showing us your bush fires. I’m praying you all keep safe. At this moment England is flooding in many places. But we realise Australia is fairing worst. Love from England x

TeresaLaLana

Hi Louise. I love your tutorials, I am really learning a lot. Regarding your questions, I do struggle somewhat with keeping the whites and creating shadows. I also think it would be helpful (especially for beginners) a tutorial on how to choose the right amount of water vs pigment for each layer on a painting, your tutorial on the wetness of paper helped a lot, but still would be great to learn more about the different proportions. About the subjects I would love to tutorials on sooo many subjects it is difficult to decide. I would love a tutorial on a grey cat, also on "brown" and autumn nature, dry leaves, chestnuts, hazelnuts....

David Gray

I am from Canada butwould love to see you paint a Koala ....I think these animals are loved worldwide. Sad to say,I think they are threatened as a species because of the loss of habitat by fire

Naomi Whittaker

Hi Louise I am so grateful for finding you, I have learnt so much in just a few months. You have given me the confidence to trust my ability and try things I was always to scared of. I would love to learn to paint an Isa Brown hen and also fruits and berries. I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and safe and Happy New Year. I hope you are safe from the terrible bushfires currently ravaging NSW.

Karen morovich

I love the koala idea. I would also like to know more about backgrounds and an approach to how and when to use them. Then pelicans that you paint are beautiful.

Michelle Wainer

As Karen above writes, backgrounds for sure. The when to use and where to place them if just splashes of color...what is the balance point between complementing the subject and detracting from it? And what color to use? Sorry, this all goes through my head when thinking about a background and generally I avoid them. Yours are splendid!

Kym Thompson

Thanks Louise. I struggle with the following in particular: Keeping little flicks of hair thin and realistic (e.g. hair on top of the brahmin cow’s head); Identifying colours to use from our own photos; Knowing good substitute colours (e.g. recently I was stumped for days when I didn’t have sepia until I discovered that I had its components and could mix it myself, and cerulean instead of phthalo blue); What qualities you look for in paints (e.g. granulating, staining, etc); if I use the same colour from a different brand, which qualities of the paint are most important to match (e.g. you used a W&N colour, and I’m tossing up between buying 2 other brands but each paint brand has their own version of the paint, often with different characteristics).

Helena Cameron

Hi Louise, I’ve just joined your Patreon site, having done a few of your tutorials on Skillshare first, I decided to follow you on Patreon instead. You have the best teaching videos I have come across and I’m learning so much from you, thank you! One of my main problems is getting the initial A4 drawing enlarged without having to draw it out on a grid or freehand. Another tutor I know of splits her drawing onto two pages which are printed on A4 paper and then taped together to give an A3 size drawing, something like this would be a great help and save time for painting. Also as others have said, knowing which colours can be substituted would be really helpful. I also struggle , when trying to paint my own photos , with knowing what to simplify so I don’t have to include all the details and choosing which colours to use, I don’t always want to use the ‘exact’ colours but am unsure how to choose alternative ones. Thank you for your excellent and generous teaching. Wishing you a very merry Xmas from Scotland.

Maxine Miller

Hi Louise Thank you for your teaching videos, you were my inspiration to start painting again after many unproductive years. Feathers and fur are challenging for me, to get them looking realistic and not cartoonish, do you also venture out into water pictures and views? Your previous paintings of chickens, ducks, owls etc on your web site would also make great tutorials Hope you have a great Christmas and the fires pass you by!

Cici

You are a wonderful instructor. I would benefit from extra instruction on land and seascapes...how to paint different types of water...waves/sea foam/mist, still (showing pebbles/rocks below surface), rippled with reflections of standing or swimming birds. Thank you. Merry Christmas & Happy NY❗️

Louise De Masi

Thank you Marijke. I have a little penguin I want to paint that would be perfect to use salt on. I'm hoping for a wet Christmas with lots of rain to put these fires out. ❤️

Louise De Masi

Thanks Beth. That's a really good suggestion. Paintings that don't work out is something that all of us have.

Louise De Masi

Hi Pam, thank you! I wonder if it would help if you used a different browser. I find Chrome works better than Safari for technical issues that I might be having. Also I'm not sure whether you are using the Patreon app or not but if you are, try logging into Patreon through the internet rather than the app.

Janicce Chin

Hi Louise, your explanations of the various techniques has helped enormously. I have the hardest time in figuring out paint consistency when I load my brush and the proportions of paint to water to get the right tone. It's either too watery or too dry. I love all your birds especially the 2 pigeons you did and I hope one day you will offer a tutorial of them here. Thanks and have a Merry Christmas.

Louise De Masi

Thank you Pam. Many of the fires here will keep burning either until they run out things to burn or we get rain. Thank you for thinking of us. I hope the floods aren't near you. Send some of that rain over here. ❤️

Louise De Masi

Thanks very much Jacqueline. A siamese cat is a difficult subject that I would struggle with too. You have a wonderful Christmas too.

Louise De Masi

Thank you for the suggestions Teresa. This is really helpful for me to know all this. I'm going to write all the suggestions down in one place and refer to them when I'm planning classes for next year.

Louise De Masi

Hi David, thank you! That's a great idea. There's a huge fire west of Sydney that they can't control. Some people rescued a group of koalas in the fire's path. They are now being cared for at Taronga Zoo in Sydney until they can be relocated. I read that they are important 'breeding' koalas because they are disease free. These fires are horrendous. It's so sad.

Louise De Masi

Hi Naomi. Thank you very much. I'm so happy that you are gaining more confidence. Thank you for the suggestions. You have a wonderful Christmas and New Year too and stay safe yourself. ❤️

Louise De Masi

A fabulous suggestion and backgrounds have been on my mind lately. Thank you!

Louise De Masi

Thanks very much Michelle. Great suggestions. I've got so much to think about now!

Louise De Masi

Thanks very much Kym. That's a big and important topic. I ordered a book last night that I think will help me be able to throw some light on this topic.

Louise De Masi

Thank you very much for the suggestions Helena. I love the idea of splitting the drawing too. That's really helpful. I'll work out how to do that.

Louise De Masi

Thanks very much Maxine. I've been admiring water paintings and they are something I've been wanting to try. You have a fabulous Christmas too.

Louise De Masi

Thank you! I've been admiring some water paintings on Instagram. They are something I want to try myself so great suggestion. You have a wonderful Christmas and New Year too.

Jess Black

Hi Louise. I am only a new member but have been following you for the last year. I am so happy you have asked this question because I would love to see how you go about doing your white birds. They are so beautiful and vibrant without being over the top. I am particularly in love with your Ibises. Also I have been experimenting with reflections on water so would love to see your approach to that subject matter. Merry Christmas.

Louise De Masi

Thank you for letting me know Jannice. You have a wonderful Christmas too. ❤️

Louise De Masi

Great suggestions. I'm on it! Thank you Jess. You have a great Christmas too. ❤️

Patricia Teal

I am so happy with what you have already done. You really are quite amazing! I would love to see more about your process.. your way of painting it in your mind as you say. What makes you decide to paint wet in wet one area and wet on dry or with salt, etc. water control is always something that I’ll am interested in. I would also love some insights in regards to the business side of art if you were comfortable with that sort of thing. Fur, feathers and texture is always a great subject as well. I am so grateful to have found you this year!! Blessings for 2020!!!

Eve Eichner

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 🎄🎉

Ronit Roccas

As many have written before, you are a wonderful teacher. Personally, I need beginner level classes - simpler drawings, shorter lessons.

Courtney

I love your videos and am always excited to see a new one posted. I would like for more projects involving animals with fur - dogs, cats, etc.- because I find those the most challenging.

Courtney

Oh - I’d love a video that goes into how to “fix” a painting when things go wrong vs. scrapping it and starting over.

anna catitti

I'm a new member on Patreon and also a beginner with watercolour. I love your paintings and I'd love to see just some tutorials about landscape because I always struggle with that.

Michelle Wainer

I have another thing I was thinking of, maybe you’ve done a video. Watched your video on dry versus wet versus damp paper, excellent! But another issue I have is with how much water to use with paint - pigment versus water. What should the consistency be for say, a watery wash, or when applying color to wet paper? For example on the monstera deliciosa leaf tutorial for that first application of sap green on damp paper, yours looks smooth, mine like leaf leprosy especially when I apply the yellow after. I am missing something with the paint/water relationship when applying to wet or damp paper.

Louise De Masi

Thanks for letting me know Michelle. That's something I'll do a video on as soon as I can.

Louise De Masi

Thanks Anna. I've painted a few landscapes in acrylic but not watercolour yet so they are something I'll practice in 2020 and I'll make some tutorials when I get some paintings I'm happy with.

Michelle Wainer

Wow! You are fast on reply! Thank you so much. You are an excellent teacher and I do so appreciate all you do. I love your tutorials, and am going through the beginner ones, and hopefully beyond.

Kelly O'Gara

With 93 comments, I am sorry if someone else brought this up. I am originally a color pencil artist who is learning watercolor. So working from light to dark is not a issue for me. However I am self taught and I also have trouble with this particular thing with my color pencil art as well. I struggle with colors, when I work in grayscale, muted colors or just neutral tint in watercolor I am fine and am able to get realistic results. Maybe bright and bold colors scare me. I don't know how to pick colors or even know what colors would be considered warm versus cold even if they are in the same color family.

Kelle Luoma

Maybe it would be helpful if, in addition to listing your paint names and brand, you listed the pigment as well? For instance, Winsor Lemon. There are so many colors out there called lemon. Happy painting in 2020!

Kelle Luoma

Another question, how do you decide if you are going to use hot press or cold press paper? Do you evr you rough? What causes you to choose 300g/140# or 640g/300#? Have you every tried that clay coated AquaBoard?

Louise De Masi

I like to use hot pressed paper because it is better for making prints from the final painting. The paper is less textured and it scans and reproduces better than cold pressed. I will tend to also reach for hot pressed when I know I want a lot of detail or if I'm going to be painting fine lines. I enjoy using cold pressed as well so sometimes I'll switch from one to the other for no real reason. I've never used rough. Nothing causes me to choose 300 or 640 other than my laziness for paper stretching. I have both weights of paper here at home. If I'm organized I'll use 300gsm paper and I'll stretch it the night before I want to use it. If I'm not organized and I want to paint something and have nothing prepared I'll get out my 640 paper or my watercolour board. Yes I have tried Ampersand aquabord a few years ago. It is very different to painting on paper. I have recently reacquainted myself with it so I could do a tutorial on using it but I need more practice. I struggled with it. I'll practice some more and when I'm comfortable with using it again I'll film a tutorial.

Eileen O'Brian

I do a lot of horse paintings and one thing I cannot figure I how to paint the brass findings on the halters, lead ropes, etc. I have been doing them in silver, which I learned how to do from Anna Mason, but that is not accurate for most equine equipment. How do I paint gold or bronze realistically?

Louise De Masi

That's an interesting question Eileen. I've painted the chrome parts on dog collars and what I do is look really closely at the metal and I ask myself what colours do I see. There are usually reflections from other things. I'm looking at a gold/brass 'bit' on google images at the moment and I see a dark brown, white, a cream (like Buff Titanium), grey and a mid brown colour. I try to stop thinking of it as a piece of metal or brass and I look for the different shapes and colours in it.

Diane scholl

Dear Louise,I am a new member and like others I have been studying your tutorials for almost a year. I feel Iwould like to start trying my hand at water color. I have been doing acrylic painting but when I saw your tutorials I wanted the and liked the challenge it would present. Also I would like to know what to use to draw my subject? Thank you for the beautiful bird and animal tutorials and in depth explanations. Diane scholl

Louise De Masi

Thank you Diane. I am an acylic painter too but I enjoy painting in watercolour much more than acrylic. I have every intention of putting some acrylic painting tutorials on here but time is limited so I'll do what I can. I use a graphite pencil usually and HB to do any drawing. If you are going to draw rather than trace your subject it is best to do that on another piece of paper and then when you get the drawing the way you want it, transfer it onto the watercolour paper. That will minimize any erasing that you have to do on the watercolour paper. I use saral transfer paper or a light box to transfer drawings onto my watercolour paper.

Darlene Smith

Have you looked at Daniel Smith's iridescent watercolor paints? You might see something you like.

Lydia Shemain

I absolutely love your tutorials Louise. i have learnt so much from you in just these past three months and thank you for all your beginner tutorials. How difficult it must be for you to cater to such a mixed audience — beginners, intermediate, advanced, some of us like flowers, others birds, others animals etc. Working on your tutorials are so time consuming — the actual painting, editing and then adding your voice. How would this work — worth a try — include a list of colours used and the painting session. A forward or an introduction referring us to the techniques used and leave the rest for us to figure out as you’re painting. Will this make it easier on you and allow you to upload more tutorials. Just a thought. Thanks.

Louise De Masi

Thank you Lydia, it makes me very happy to know that you are learning a lot. I really appreciate your messages of thanks. They always lift me when I get them, so thank you! It can be very difficult and sometimes I feel overwhelmed not knowing what to do first. I get a lot of requests and questions through the day as well. When I feel myself getting overwhelmed I stop, take a breath and re-focus and remind myself that I am very lucky to do what I do. My only wish is that I had more time to paint. I have so many things I want to get to but most of my time is spent at the computer. Thank you for the suggestion. I like your idea. It's the voice over that seems to take the longest and that's the part I like the least. I'm sure my videos will evolve over time, just like my painting. 💕
