My tutorials are designed to help you on your creative journey. Any painting you create from a tutorial where I use my own reference photo is for personal use only. They can't be sold or entered into an art competition. I write on the Supplies Lists where the photos come from. Permission is not given to paint any of my earlier paintings that are not tutorials because some of them are licensed. Also, a few of my earlier paintings were painted from photographs where I sought the permission of the photographer. The photographer gave me permission to use it, not others.

If I do a tutorial where I use another photographer's photo (eg from Pixabay or Unsplash) that is available for anyone throughout the world to download (copyright free) and use I’m happy for you to sell the paintings you create from the tutorial.

If I do a tutorial and I use a photo that I have paid for and downloaded from the website Wildlife Reference Photos in order for you to sell the painting you create from the tutorial you need to purchase and download the photograph yourself. This is in accordance with the Terms and Services of the Wildlife Reference Photo website.

If you share a finished painting on social media I would really appreciate it if you could link back to my account (be it on Facebook, YouTube or Instagram) and mention that you painted it in one of my tutorials. @louisedemasi

Thank you!

I have been eyeing this piece for some time since becoming a member. Despite not feeling confident at this level, not having the same colors, I decided to give it a go. Thanks for the encouraging words in the responses here and for very detailed tips every step of the way, I finished mine. That eradicator brush is my beautifying tool, it makes the final piece a bit more polished and gives it more body (3-D). Who would have guessed this could be accomplished in 4 colors! Thank you Louise for another wonderful class. You made us feel we could accomplish something beyond our capabilities.

Louise De Masi

I'm so glad you had success with it Peiying. Thank you! I love the eradicator brushes too. 🥰

Deborah Monninger

I am in the process of painting this lovely tulip and wanted to thank you for your wonderful classes. You are truly a great teacher and I've learned a lot from you. I especially love your botanical pieces!

Olivia Joy

I can't wait to watch these Louise and eventually paint them!

Rosalie Coburn

I’m so excited to try this - our tulip festival in Ottawa recently ended and I took many photos but I have no idea how to start painting them. This is exactly what I need. Thanks so much Louise!

MARIANNE DANHOF

Hi Louise just to say that I finished this tulip 🌷 and I am quite happy with it. Being Dutch I just had to join Patreon earlier to follow you. Little time now but enough to try something else. Take care.

Verônica de Almeida Cavalcante

Oi Louise, adorei seus tutoriais! Terminei minha tulipa e estou encantada como resultado. Que bom que encontrei você! bjs

Magdalena L

I painted just the top half, the flower with a little bit of stem and I also had limited space in my sketchbook, so I made it aproximately 10*15cm, but still it must be one of my best painting up to date!! Thank you Lousie, I really learn a lot from your instructions! I'll do more lessons with you! :)

Nancy Guenther

Thank you so much, Louise. The tulip was challenging but turned out beautifully. I never would have thought to put the crimson over the leaves. I always learn something new!

Louise De Masi

That's wonderful Magdalena! Thank you for letting me know. I'm sorry I missed your message when you wrote it. 💕

Louise De Masi

My pleasure Nancy. I'm glad it turned out well. Thank you!

Louise, I just now finished this painting tutorial, and I’m truly pleased withow nicely it turned out. I took a lot of time - 3 weeks - working slowly, carefully and walking away as soon any tension or anxiety started to creep in. This particular flower evokes joy, just as tulips do in the springtime after winter. I really enjoyed doing this painting and am so happy I joined your Patreon channel. I’m learning and enjoying painting watercolor with you!

Louise De Masi

I'm so pleased. Thank you Kirstin. That anxiety, doesn't go away- not for me anyway. I do the same. I often walk away from my painting and do something else for a little while. I think we must put so much pressure in ourselves not wanting to fail. When I'm feeling anxious, I remind myself to 'enjoy the process' and forget about the outcome. If it doesn't work - I'll try again when I'm ready.💕

Your shares like the one above are as important as your skill and the care you take in presenting your tutorials. It helps me to know that you, at your stage of expertise sill experience anxiety (mine relates to perfectionism) and

Kirstin Santos

That you have to walk away sometimes. Somehow it helps me to relax and feel your patient presence as I paint. I consider you a Master teacher, Louise, and am grateful I found you.
