UPDATE: The preview version exported without some color layers (seems like an Adobe Media Encoder error, because the project file didn't have those errors when I opened it today). It was only a slight issue but I wanted to make time today to fix it.

We return to our How Games Are Made series with a look at Character Design. In the age of generative AI, why does a small team on non-artist still go to the work (and cost) of hiring multiple artists to find the look of their game. Well the answers might seem obvious to those of you with creative bones in your body, but it was still fun to put together a video about this element of games production with so much misinformation out there about just how challenging and human-led the field of character design should be.
