The first update to my engine compatibility tool is here.
Thanks to everyone who's purchased the mod so far and shared feedback. I've been working on improving compatibility, fixing issues, and making the tool more reliable across different vehicle and engine mods. Some of your comments truly make me want to push this project so much further.
NOTE: A few people reported errors on v1.0.1 that I am currently looking at. For now, run v1.0 if you get any errors, until 1.0.2 drops in a couple days (10-18/10-20) Thank you!
INSTRUCTIONS
How to Update to v1.0.1
Open your BeamNG mods folder.
Delete the old universal_engine_compat.zip and universal_engine_compat.report.json files.
Download the new v1.0.1 ZIP attached to this post.
Extract all
Run the start.cmd to generate
your new universal_engine_compat.zip file.
What's New in v1.0.1
Fixed missing engine part slots once swapped. All engine part slots now attatched to swapped engine. Original vehicle transmission stays attatched and functional.
Improved visual look of the application UI
Advanced mod detection resulting in no duplicate engines, and no weird lettering before each engine.
Minor bug fixes (very few reported)
What's Next
We're already working toward v1.1, with our biggest goal being visible engine models.
This is one of the most requested features so far, and we're exploring ways to make it work without sacrificing the simplicity of the current tool.

If you run into any issues or find an engine or vehicle mod that doesn't work correctly, please let me know. Feedback helps and I am happy to help you guys out.
Thanks again for the support. Genuinely means the world to hear people call it their favorite mod. I will continue to chase the gratitude you guys show, by solving problems and creating some really cool stuff.
Much love,
