Dragon Block Noea — 1.1.0 RELEASE! (Patreon)
Content
Alright everyone! I was saving a lot of this for a much bigger combat update, but there are too many useful fixes and new features here to keep you waiting.
This early release brings together everything added since 1.0.0: expanded space exploration, a rebuilt Hell, new progression features, improved transformations and fusion, and the first playable version of Noea Styled Combat.
The new combat is still experimental and OFF by default. You can enjoy the other additions without enabling it. Combo feel and Flow State timing will be a major focus of the next combat update.
Here’s what’s new!
You can now see—and hear—the power around you.
Ki Sense has received a major overhaul inspired by that Dragon Ball feeling of sensing something terrifying nearby.
Aura Sense turns the world black and white while detectable characters have coloured Ki auras.
Auras grow with power and progress from blue through yellow, orange and red. Extremely powerful characters such as Beerus and Whis can have enormous auras.
All 23 native Masters now have corrected sensing profiles based on Noea’s authored power values.
Find Mode adds target markers, distance readings, off-screen arrows and a behind-you indicator.
Sudden Ki surges produce visual pings, with three new detection sounds based on how powerful the signature is compared with you.
Trained sensing works across the same planet or realm, including players thousands of blocks away.
Scan / Track now includes Known Masters, Signatures and Objectives.
You can remember Master locations, pin waypoints and track supported mission objectives.
Detection, sound, flashes and reduced-motion effects have separate controls.
Hidden signatures and divine-Ki restrictions still matter. Long-distance sensing uses online players, loaded creatures and recorded Masters; it doesn’t reveal every undiscovered NPC in unloaded terrain.
Want to try it alone? Use /noea test ki for the temporary singleplayer demonstration.
Flight and power-ups have more impact.
Added Sonic Break and Double Break, available through Flight progression.
Double-tap the Sonic Break binding—Left Ctrl by default—while flying forward, then repeat for the second boost tier.
Both Search Flight and Combat Flight support the boosts.
Added form-coloured entry effects, pressure rings, sonic effects and a brief FOV response.
Fixed boosts stopping unexpectedly after the second activation or slight mouse movement.
Added Universe Effects settings for shockwaves, flight effects and boom volume.
Power-up shockwaves now activate above Third Form Frieza strength: over 2.1 million released BP. Stronger transformations and sudden full-release charging can push nearby enemies away and disturb fragile surroundings.
That includes double-tapping C from 0% to 100% or 115%. The old 120-million requirement has been lowered, and both charge ceilings have been tested around 58 million BP.
Blocking greatly reduces the push. Glass, panes, mature crops, sugar cane and grass can break, while solid terrain and applicable build protections remain intact.
Noea Styled Combat is available as an optional preview.
Enable it through /noea experimental.
The preview includes:
Ground combos and aerial combos in Combat Flight.
Short approach dashes that turn into punches when you reach your target.
Five combo finishers: Heavy Finish, Flying Kick, Rolling Hammer, Ki Wave and Final Knockback.
Charged finishers, upward launches and downward slams.
Stronger finisher knockback while regular punches keep opponents close enough to chain.
More forgiving input buffering and improved contact against ordinary mobs.
Step Vanish, learned through a timed practice exercise near Goku.
Improved incoming melee cues and timed defensive movement.
Separate personal switches for combo combat and grabs.
This system still needs work. Your reports about stiffness and Flow State lasting too long are part of what I want to tackle next.
There are new training targets to practise on.
Added persistent wooden Training Dummies with three modes:
Stationary: stays fixed and ignores knockback.
Knockback: responds to punches, launches and gravity.
Combat Flight: follows your height and stays wherever hits push it horizontally.
They survive ordinary damage, register combo hits and require commands to remove. You can also change their BP and trigger a test Ki surge to compare auras, pings and detection sounds.
Use /noea dummy to see the commands. Cheats/operator access is required.
These are separate from Mr. Popo’s Shadow Dummies and do not fight back yet. Training-partner AI and additional settings are future additions.
Mr. Popo’s existing training also received fixes for excessive damage, Realistic Mode scaling, stale penalties and dummies retaining inflated stats after you power down.
Capsule Corp and the World Tournament are much easier to place.
Manual placement now handles oceans, frozen water, trees, vines, snow, ice spikes and uneven terrain much better.
The placement system surveys nearby alternatives, clears natural cover and blends the surrounding terrain. Underground placement, oversized foundations, unloaded construction areas and duplicate reservations have also received fixes.
Villages, strongholds, DMZ structures and existing Noea sites remain protected.
Other additions include:
Natural undead inhabitants.
Branching blue-white mineral trees.
Half-buried spiked mace heads and ribbed silver structures.
Protected authored scenery, with an administrator override.
Temporary access to basic flight while visiting Hell.
Every alignment now enters by double-tapping Sneak on the clouds.
Good and neutral characters can return by flying against the cloud ceiling for two continuous seconds. Evil characters must complete their 30-undead punishment that visit or use valid native Instant Transmission. Punishment progress is saved through logout and restart.
Characters and progression have new additions too.
Added saved awakening requirements for Super Saiyan Blue and Blue Evolved.
Added one-time Saiyan birth traits, including rare mutant and mythical Super Saiyan God outcomes.
Added heart disease through eligible birth traits or repeated unmastered Super Saiyan strain, with native heart medicine as the cure.
Added administrator controls for traits, disease and awakening requirements.
Implemented Sphinxian Predator’s Poise, rewarding a successful melee hit after avoiding damage.
Improved Sphinxian and Beerus faces and silhouettes.
Rebuilt the Gamma appearance editor with the actual character model, front/back views, armour visibility and immediate previews.
Transformation and appearance fixes include Demigra previews, Majin tails, Gamma descent, Orange Namekian purchases, custom Android-form BP and Great Ape camera behaviour.
Fusion, absorption and Hakai have received additions and fixes.
The Fusion Expert now supports 16 additional partners: Tien, Chiaotzu, Goten, Gotenks, Videl, Supreme Kai, Kibito, Turles, Lord Slug, Android 13, Android 14, Salza, Dore, Neiz, Dende and Guru.
Fusion appearance restoration, custom hair, arm-band handling, transformation costs and sparring requirements have also been improved.
Majin Android absorption now supports eligible Human/Android targets while the form is active. Absorption and transforming enemies also received fixes for missing mission credit.
Hakai: Erasure Grab now supports holding the technique to maintain the acquisition stance and catch a valid target entering range.
Realistic Mode has had a substantial balance pass.
Unified the form-and-progression preset under /noea realism on/off.
Reworked transformation multipliers, costs and progression across races.
Revised encounter health, damage and saga benchmarks.
Improved transformed stamina/Ki costs and resource handling.
Added The Metal Cooler Army, a Realistic-only mission against 50 weaker Coolers.
Corrected the Bojack mission sequence.
Revised transformation prices and progression milestone rewards.
Fixed Majin transformation order, Kaioken health behaviour and restoration when Realistic Mode is disabled.
Fixed passive TP bonuses being applied twice.
Added /noea tpdebug to inspect your passive TP calculation.
And there are plenty of smaller improvements.
Guide text above the hotbar now defaults OFF. Use /noea guide display on if you want it back.
Other changes include working hover highlights on the new radial-menu options, freer tournament spectator movement, Discord/Patreon menu links, paused-effect fixes, Search Flight aura fixes, Ultra Instinct afterimage fixes and administrator commands for revoking immortality.
This release is for Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.x and Dragon Mine Z 2.1.3. Update both client and server, replace the older Noea JAR and back up your world. A global world reset is not required.
Thank you for supporting Dragon Block Noea and sending in your clips, bug reports and feedback. Getting this build out now means everyone can benefit from these additions while I focus on making the next combat update feel much better.
Next up: smoother combos, tighter Flow State timing and more time actually practising how the combat feels.Download: Google Drive
