I've got a little project to share with you bois today :Dhttps://youtu.be/5NwAna5vlMk
This is Dungeons 2 - First Person, a free mod for Minecraft Dungeons II that lets you play from your character's point of view!!
Me & a friend have been playing with it in co-op, fixing things as we go. It supports controller & mouse/keyboard, you can change the FOV and eye height, & you can switch back to the normal camera while you're playing.
The whole mod is FREE. You don't need a paid membership to download it or use any of the features, of course any support is welcome to help with more future projects <3
Steam Edition -DOWNLOAD: Third & First Person BuildMinecraft Launcher / Xbox App / Microsoft Store Version: COMING SOON!!
Getting started is pretty simple:
1. Extract the whole ZIP into a safe folder.
2. Open the "Start Dungeons First Person.cmd" & click "Start helper" box.
3. Launch the game through Steam - Note: Other launchers MAY work. Once you're in a playable area, press F6 or hold L3 for two seconds to turn on first person.
Keep the launcher open while you play. F6 / holding L3 switches the camera back; F10 restores the normal view & stops the helper completely.Double click in a direction to activate sprint, F3 or triple click L3 while in First Person to switch to shoulder surfing mode. F2 also allows you to switch shoulders, I'm working on AUTO shoulder swapping next!
This version is for Windows 64-bit and Steam build 25647713. Other stores/builds aren't supported by this download however I'll plan out an auto updater in future versions!
Quick heads-up: this is a public beta. There are still camera quirks, terrain gaps/pop-in & earlier crash reports to investigate. Co-op has been working for us, but different setups and longer sessions need more testing.
If you give it a go, let me know how it feels & what breaks! Mentioning whether you're using controller or keyboard, and playing solo or co-op, helps a lot.
There's also an optional Support on Patreon button in the launcher if you'd like to help with these little projects. No pressure at all, & thank you to everyone already supporting me <3
Have fun with it bois!!
