Heyy Guyys!! Soooo A LOT has happened since Alpha.17 BUT in good news THAT BUILD is now up on Curse Forge / Modrinth for EVERYONE, and Alpha.26 is here for you guys first... and it’s a BIG one...

Becoming a Lantern was always meant to be more than putting on a colored ring. Now space has whole alien villages to visit, ships trading between worlds, and lanterns that actually light up the world around them in their color.

WHAT’S PLAYABLE RIGHT NOW

Custom constructs — Design and save your own creations in “The Mind”, including new vehicles. Cars, planes and helicopters you can actually drive, and they float on water!

Ring-powered flight — Hover, accelerate, dive and dodge, now with 4 flight styles: Classic, Arms by sides (like the show), Hologram Chair & Energy Board.

Space exploration Enhanced — Use the Galaxy Atlas to discover planets and moons, then fly down out of the sky to land on them. Space now unlocks after you beat the Ender Dragon!

Alien villages — Most new planets you visit get their own villages, with residents who have names, jobs, personalities, secrets and rivalries. Right-click them to talk, joke, compliment, insult or gift... and make friends (or enemies hah).

10 alien peoples — Each with their own look, language and culture. No ring = you can’t understand a word they say!

Trade ships & a living economy (W.I.P) — Alien ships fly between worlds, land beside villages and trade real goods. News travels by ship, and if a fever or blight hits a world, the villagers remember who helped.

Colored lantern light — Your Lantern lights up the area around it in its Corps color. Black gives no light at all.

Lantern encounters — Experience different recruitment events and discover rings through progression and exploration. White/Life remains unfinished. (W.I.P)

The Cognitive Back-up — Create a companion you can talk to and command to follow, guard or collect materials.

Corps assignments — Visit Oa, meet named characters and take on the playable Aster Vale relief request. (W.I.P)

Your Lantern’s appearance — Wear the Green Lantern Outfit, customize your ring’s presentation and pick how your constructs fade away (Dust, Liquid or Off).

THE LATEST UPDATE

NOTES: Alpha.26 rolls up everything since Alpha.17... Villages and the talk wheel, new alien peoples, alien ships with real trading, floating vehicles, flight styles, constructs that fade away in your ring’s color and a proper fly-down when you land on planets. 35 new things now affect your emotions too (still hidden, you’ll have to find them hah). The newest bits: your lantern lights the world in its color, and you can’t fly to space until you’ve beaten the Ender Dragon, so it actually feels earned now.

This is an alpha. Expect rough edges, and back up your worlds before updating.

Space now waits for the Ender Dragon. Don’t want that?

Server owners/ops can switch it off with /space dragongate off (or /gamerule lanternsSpaceNeedsDragon false).

Your existing worlds have it ON.Use the same version on your client and your server.The Orange Lantern is still found on Okaara (after the dragon), Hope recruitment remains in development, and Life is currently command-only.Requires Minecraft Java 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.10 and Java 17.No additional mods are required.
