Things to keep in mind about Lyanna Stark, Ned's sister: - Before Robert Baratheon was King, he & Lyanna were going to get married. - At a big tournament, Rhaegar Targaryen won and shocked everyone by naming Lyanna the "Queen of Love and Beauty" instead of his own wife, Elia Martell, despite Lyanna being betrothed to Robert Baratheon. - Rhaegar & Lyanna disappear & later, word gets out that Rhaegar kidnapped & r*ped her. - She died during the rebellion. Some clarification: - Rhaegar was killed by Robert Baratheon. Rhaegar was 23 & Robert was 21. - Rhaegar is Daenerys & Viserys older brother - Daenerys was born just after Robert's rebellion ended. - The rebellion was 17 years before to Season 1 - Robert loved Lyanna - Viserys was killed in season 1 - Elia Martell is Oberyn's sister (Oberyn fought and died for Tyrion)

With Balon's death, all of the people who originally declared themselves King are dead; Renly, Joffrey, Robb, Stannis and Balon. Sort of fun fact: Balon's death happened much earlier in the books; he was actually the 2nd king to die after Renly
