I’m convinced Yelena would’ve been the best swordfighter in Westeros. She has the best strategy, stab everyone in the ass first then when they reach behind stab them in the neck 😂😂

That’s Ser Arthur Dayne, the sword of the morning. He’s considered the best swordsman ever in the history of Westeros. He’s literally the GOAT. He wields the Greatsword of House Dayne called “Dawn” that’s the sword you see him use in that scene. It is said to have been forged from a fallen star thousands of years back and only worthy swordsmen from house Dayne gets to wield it. He’s the first to wield that sword in hundreds of years. Fans clamour for prequels just to see more of that man, his feats and finally settle the debate of who’s better between him and Ser Barristan Selmy. Remember Barristan? The old man who cut down all them sons of the Harpy. In the world of Westeros, 3 fighters are considered to be in a league of their own. 1. Ser Arthur Dayne,( Sword of the morning) 2. Ser Barristan Selmy( Barristan the Bold) and 3. Ser Jaime Lannister. ( The Kingslayer) y’all don’t rate Jaime like that cause you see him all the time and never saw him at his peak but He’s literally a living legend in that world. Remember he said to the high sparrow when all the faith militant showed up, “I’ve fought against worse odds”. Arthur Dayne by the way, Knighted Jaime Lannister at the age of 15, and raised him to the Kingsguard. Thts Evidence of how Good Jaime was at 15 and Dayne is Jaime’s Idol. Those 3, are heavily debated in the fanbase, and fans would do anything to see prequels featuring them. That’s a very important scene by the way, they may seem casual to a first time viewer but they are not. I believe You’ll find out.

Brienne of Tarth has a Valyrian steel sword though. After Ned was beheaded, Tywin took his sword “ice” it is the biggest Valyrian steel sword in all the seven kingdoms. It’s been in house stark for thousands of years. Big enough that Tywin forged 2 Valyrian steel swords out of it and gave both to Jaime after he lost his hand. You probably would remember that scene. Then Jaime in his own “Honorable” way, gave one to Brienne encouraging her to use it and get Catelyn stark’s daughters; Sansa and Arya. Cause he swore an oath to Catelyn in exchange for his escape when Robb captured him. Brienne then named that sword “Oathkeeper” that’s what she uses and killed those Bolton men with so for now, we know Jon has a Valyrian steel sword “longclaw” and Brienne has “Oathkeeper” Jaime also has one.
