I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS SO SOON OMG THANK YOUU

Timothy Alberts

Cochon is a pig in French. Sazerac is a classic New Orleans cocktail. Okay, even though I wish this were true to the original, I think I will continue watching with you. You make it more enjoyable!

emerraldx

wow 🤩 and twice on Sundays 😍 such a gift 💝

gothamnightlights

you're in for a treat!! This is one of the rare occasions where none of the episodes of this show (both s1 and s2) are bad or boring. They're ALL exceptionally well acted, written and shot! My personal favorite episode is season 2 episode 5 😋

Dennis A

Dylan, I didn't realize that you had decided to go ahead with this. It's one of my favorite shows. It takes awhile to fully grab you but is some really incredible TV writing. It's going to be a rough ride at times. Enjoy! 🙏

Yes jumping the broom was an African American tradition especially when they weren’t allowed to legally marry.

Andre

Omg yes! Fairly certain it was me that first suggested this and I’m beyond ecstatic you’re actually gonna give it a go. Definitely earned a subscription from me. I can’t wait to accompany you on this extraordinary journey…🫡🤝🏾

I LOVE Lestat and Louis, this is one of the best things I have ever watched and the acting is phenomenal. Remember that Lestat is a vampire so morals do not apply in the same way, he is an absolute brat but so entertaining to watch lol. Also I know you love music, the actor Jacob Anderson who plays Louis is a UK musician and I love his music, although he has not released anything lately as he’s been busy with acting. He goes under the name of Raleigh Ritchie and is definitely worth a listen. Loving your reactions and nails ❤️

ICYMI. The third season (called “The Vampire Lestat”) begins on June 7th. What a fangtastic show!

gothamnightlights

Thank you for the suggestion and thank you so much for being here :) Much love to you 🙏🏻💙

gothamnightlights

Woah I will definitely have to check his music out! That’s so cool! And yes, I will keep the differentiation of morals from vamp to human in mind as I continue :) So much love to you!!!! 💙💙💙💙

Alan Mitchell

Hey Dylan, so glad you decided to pick up this incredible show! Your vibe, look, and voice is the perfect ambience for the telling of this story.

Zarianya

No spoilers, but a thing to always keep in mind when watching this series is the reliability of the narrator. This is major theme of both the books and the tv adaptation.

Kayla

If it makes you feel any better, Anne Rice herself was involved in the production of this first season before she passed so any changes made had her blessing! :)

gothamnightlights

Okay I will definitely keep this in mind, thank you 🙏🏻💙

Came to YT for HR, moving to the Patreon for IWTV and the full viewings of everything. Books! Really intrigued by your Reactions and excited to watch as you continue to curate your channel

My head canon is that Anne Rice was sitting around her atmospheric old house in NewO in 1976 and while drinking absinthe and pondering her next steps, found herself magically transported forward in time to 1997 where she experienced the future unfolding in teen slayers, teen love triangles, teen melodrama and weird sparkles, generational trauma, mostly bland cishet sex, bayou barmaids, were animals, racial politics, hot Norsemen, hot blondes, a snarky hot queer witch, and blatant metaphors about AIDS, Right Wing politics and freedom. She returned to 1976, took a deep breath, sat down at her desk and called to the ghosts that haunt her home to HOLD MY BEER and started writing.

Beck Huston

I did not want to get drawn into this show. I went through my Anne Rice obsession back in the late 70s reading all of the books. But because you are watching, I am watching. It is better than I feared it would be. Enjoying your reaction as usual.

Hannah Pettyjohn

I had no idea this was a series! I knew it was a book and I have seen the movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise- but the relationship of Louis and Lestat so much better here. It makes way more sense! I also thought this was an ad at first, or a documentary.. lol
