Oh I’m so glad you’re reading this! I love this book - tbh, a lot more than the movie, it’s so so good. Also, a sadly needed fantasy to escape into…. Imagining everything that would be different in trump hadn’t been elected in 2016 and we’d gone straight to alex’ mother in 2016. I don’t think people tend to get nauseous on planes, you don’t feel the movement as much! What makes people nauseous in cars and buses is the constant acceleration and direction changes. A plane is a similar feeling to being on a high-speed train, you’re moving so fast and at such a steady speed it’s almost like sitting still.

Hey Dylan! I read the book before I watched the movie, too - just before the movie premiered in 2023. The book is really smart. And the movie is wonderfully done. It starts out a little Hallmarky, but quickly becomes about something more. The actors are great. They are about to finish filming the sequel, "Red, White & Royal Wedding." Can't wait to watch the first movie with you. Much Love.

Very true, an escape from reality, especially ours, is always needed and much appreciated. You’re right, I can see motion sickness being a non possibility in a plane! i seem to remember reading somewhere, that the sequel was created as movie script directly, but that the original author was involved?

Sorry, I didn't make it clear. So far there's no 2nd book unless she releases one before the 2nd movie appears. But the screenplay is being written (again) by Matthew Lopez (a Tony-winning playwright for "The Inheritance." He also directed the first movie. And he's gay. Duh. Lol.

Finding this video blew my mind. I watched your Heated Riverly series on your patreon and loved it. I said to myself if we were boyfriends, I would ask him one night in bed if he could read me a book. I said he would be so perfect. I love the movie Red White and Royal Blue. I was just totally shocked when I first started watching this video. How Perfect!
