I also think its tragic that Armand 'cursed' Daniel by forcing him to ignore his sexual fluidity and follow a failed hetero-normative path. And in an earlier episode, Armand seemed to know an awful-lot about Daniel's ex-wives, so how closely has he continued to follow Daniel?

Why Lestat is keeping his distance from Louie has to be Armand - Armand is obviously jealous of Louie's attachment to Lestat and he wouldn't let Lestat back into Louie's life.....and Armand is a much more powerful vampire. I'm curious, when Armand, or in general a fortune teller, lays out what's ahead, can that path ahead be altered by knowing what it is or regardless what one does, it will still happen?

I think you misinterpreted that interaction. That wasn't Armand cursing him, that was Armand foretelling his future, or most likely future to be more precise since I don't think that vampires have prescience, unless I'm mistaken. He was just making the mistaken judgment that death would be preferable to that likely future, but it wasn't his call to make.

no, no, there was nothing prescient about Armand, he was using his compulsion skill to program Daniel to have a cursed life. And he continues to torment Daniel, even into Season 3

Many people consider this the best episode in season 2. It is but for me a primo scene is the confrontation between Armand and Lestat in episode 3, and what Armand does to time and Lestat. Then he just picks up Nicki and walks off with him. My chin was on the floor.
