Natural and Filmic presets are available for the Mad Max. Each one of them has Non-Raytracing(Non-RT) and Raytracing(RT) versions.

Preset Showcase: https://youtu.be/ISETdZXdERg

Quick guide: --------------------------------------------------------------------

01. Download Reshade: https://reshade.me/ and run downloaded file

02. Select the game in the list (MadMax.exe)

03. Choose the proper rendering API (For this game select DirectX 10/11/12)

04. Select and download all effect (shader) packages

05. For Presets Non-RT you can skip this step. But for Presets RT you should get mcflypg's RTGI shader (5$ tier): https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg/

06. Download my Reshade Preset(s) archive(s), extract it and put extracted files (.ini file and the reshade-shaders folder) into the game folder where the .exe file is located

07. Check ingame Reshade interface. You should see these shaders below as active:

For Mad Max_Preset Non-RT Natural_v1.0:

LUT@LUT.fx,

FlexibleCA@FlexibleCA.fx,

Clarity@Clarity.fx,

AMD FidelityFX ContrastAdaptiveSharpening@CAS.fx

Deband@Deband.fx

For Mad Max_Preset Non-RT Filmic_v1.0:

LUT@LUT.fx,

AmbientLight@AmbientLight.fx,

FlexibleCA@FlexibleCA.fx,

GaussianBlurCS@GaussianBlurCS.fx,

AMD FidelityFX ContrastAdaptiveSharpening@CAS.fx

Unsharp@Unsharp.fx,

Deband@Deband.fx

For Mad Max_Presets RT (Natural & Filmic) you should see the same effects plus these two effects as active:

qUINT_opticalflow@qUINT_of.fx,

RTGlobalIllumination@qUINT_rtgi.fx

If the Quick Guide does not answer all your questions you can watch step-by-step video tutorials on how to install Reshade and set up the in-game overlay, Also how to install RTGI shader and configure Depth Buffer properly here:

Reshade Installation and Setup Guide

. . .

Important: Preset was tweaked and tested in Non-HDR game/monitor mode. It may not look decent in HDR mode. So make sure the HDR mode is deactivated in your in-game Display/Graphics settings. Also disable HDR for your Monitor, or set HDR level to low and try to tweak preset using extra shaders like: LevelsPlus, PD80_03_Levels or curves by yourself.

I plan to release HDR presets separately in the future if the project runs well with your support.

Note: Some shaders may give a very subtle effect in some areas. However, they have a significant impact on other environments. So don't turn off any shaders if you want the preset to work as it should. I'll always let you know if there are optional shaders in my presets. So you can turn them off.

The same image looks different on different screens. You might need some tweaking for your monitor's brightness/gamma/contrast if Reshade differs from the showcase.

When I start the game, the effects don't turn on by themselves. I have to turn them on manually, so the game looks different. What should I do?

Hello and Welcome! Would you mind describing the problem in more detail? When you say effects, what do you mean? ReShade, ReShade shaders, or game effects. Please direct message me and attach some screenshots with your ReShade menu (GUI) visible on them.

I solved this problem, but now I have a new one. When I install all the shaders, the game looks different. I have more blurring, and the sand is not as white as in the video. I changed the gamma in the game and on the monitor, but nothing changed.

Okay. I've sent a direct message. lets continue there
