Update Blog - 5/18/24 (Patreon)

It was a long journey, but I've finally done it. My work on my next big project is complete after all the weeks I've put into it and I can finally move on to other videos. If you've been reading these Blogs, you probably know that I went through quite an emotional roller coaster throughout its production. I've had my highs and lows regarding myself and this video, but now that I got it (mostly) done, I feel proud of what I've created and I'm excited to show you what this is all about. Also, you may have noticed that I took a break this week from both uploading a video and my podcast, but I was able to spend that time well to both be with friends and family, along with making good progress on my work. With that said, here's what happened during my week.

• Finishing the Editing of the next History video: Yes, after months of thinking about it conceptually and weeks to bring this to life, I've finally made it to the end of the video's production. I've already stated at the start how I personally went through quite a lot while making this (even had a burnout), but I will admit that there is a part of me that is happy and relieved that I've done everything I can with this project for now and that I can move on to something new. This is not to say that this is officially ready to be uploaded. There are a few pieces that I am waiting for to include onto the video so that it could have all the finishing touches to have it be set to release. There may be a chance that I'll also do a revision or two of the video closer to its premiere once I have everything together just to be sure if it needs extra polishing, even if I've already done a couple of them this week. But for now, I've done everything I can with this and I feel like I'm ready to have a fresh start with some new projects to work. As for this video, expect it the party to get started at the end of June.

• What I have coming up: I know I can't just end this off with one paragraph of what I did this week where I didn't upload anything (other than the TikTok/Shorts videos), so I will explain to you all in detail what I have in store for the rest of this month. That and it's to make things up for forgetting to mention that in the last Update Blog. This is something that I've already mentioned publically, but I'll explain why my plan is structured like that. As you know, the rest of May will be reviews of the new movies, including The Garfield Movie next week and Thelma the Unicorn at the end of the month. I know that Thelma is already released, but the reason why I planned it like this is because on Sunday (or tomorrow as of this Blog), I'm going to an early screening of Garfield, and I want to take that opportunity to get a review made for the film's release. As for Thelma, I don't want to rush myself and I delayed that to give me time to create the review and not rush myself. In fact, with more new releases right around the corner, my schedule for my videos in the next weeks will be reviews. So, after all that time with that History video, it's time for me to be the critic again and get back to analyzing movies.

And that is my week with my plan and my progress on my videos. Even if we're in the second half of the month, I feel like I'm ready to start next week fresh where I can make videos about new movies and no longer have to worry about that one project. I did a bit of practice with Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, but now the real deal is coming, starting with one of my favorite literature characters of my childhood. So, until next time...
