Summer's officially here, and it's very noticeable with that big heat wave that dominated the week. Don't worry, I've been doing my best to keep myself cool in the meantime while I was doing a few errands on the side, and especially working on the next review for next week. Of course, I got Inside Out 2 done and released it for everyone to see, but during the week, I went to work on the other animated film that came out on the same day, Ultraman: Rising. I'll say now that, in terms of my work on videos this week, it's pretty straight forward, but it went pretty well for me.
Released my review of Inside Out 2: I've seen many people say that this is possibly Pixar's best non-Toy Story follow-up they've made yet, and looking back at the others...I think I agree on that. The only one I could think of could be close to that is Incredibles 2, but still, what the team accomplished with this one is terrific. I love the first Inside Out, and compared to that, maybe it didn't fully reach that same level, but it was very close. That alone is still an admirable accomplishment that easily puts this among the best animated films we've had this year yet. It still holds that spirit of the original with its thought-provoking visual perspective of how the mind works and the way that our emotions control us. Also, the new emotions are great additions that help spice up the film's core concept and validate having an Inside Out sequel, especially creating a great personification of Anxiety. Safe to say that we all experienced moments when that thing takes the wheel in our head and goes out of control. Overall, this movie really makes me happy. I'm glad it turned out very enjoyable and I'm also really happy to see that it's doing amazingly in theaters to help both the box office and Disney to get themselves back in shape. Now the only thing I'm hoping is that people on the Internet doesn't get mad at me for liking a new Disney movie and giving it a positive review like last time XD
Created my review of Ultraman: Rising: Now that I settled my emotions with making a review for Inside Out 2, it's time that I set my focus on the other movie that came out last week, Ultraman: Rising. Of course, the Pixar movie was my top priority, and I'm personally not too familiar with the Ultraman franchise other than it's one of those Power Rangers-type Japanese franchises with its own brand of kaijus. However, looking upon what Netflix has in store with this one, I can tell through the animation alone that this is the platform's answer to the Spider-Verse films. I'll give it that it does look visually interesting, but I'm a little concerned about the plot and if it doesn't depend too much on "Look how cute the baby kaiju is" like a reverse Monsters, Inc. or a Japanese-themed Feed the Kitty. I won't say how I feel about it now, since my main goal of the week was to create this video. I'll let you know what I fully think about it when I release the review next week.
And that is my week of finishing up the videos for this month. Remember that Summer has only begun, and this is the time when water is your best friend, so keep drinking it and stay cool when you can while the sun is taking a closer look at our planet. As for me, I'm ready to enjoy the season, but for now, I still got some work to do and reviews to prep up during this time. So, until next time...
See ya later, dudes!
