Sausage Party is one of the rare mainstream R-rated animated movies in history. But this is not about how Seth Rogen made cartoon characters get horny and say swear words. This is a dark story about the nightmare that animators endured during its production history and how this is not just a problem with Sausage Party, but how this is still going on in the entire animation industry.

This was a fantastic video and a very fascinating story as well, when it comes to what happened behind the scenes of Sausage Party and what happened to the animators especially with what Greg Tiernan did to the animators, and Sony deserves blame as well. And of course how this led to other animated films where the animators were abused, especially with Phil Lord and Chris Miller with what happened behind the scenes of Across the Spider-Verse and the way they abused the animators, as much as I love that movie, it’s really unfortunate what those animators had to go through, not to mention how this has also happened with Lord and Miller’s other productions as well, and pretty much the main reason why Beyond the Spider-Verse has been delayed indefinitely, seriously with the way they treat the people who work on their movies, no wonder Disney fired them from the Han Solo movie, and it really makes me worried how the animators are being treated while working on Beyond the Spider-Verse and if they’ll just repeat the same thing again, not to mention that it’s because of stuff like this why animation studios need unions to ensure they can stay safe, not to mention how this has also impacted the entire animation industry and even the entertainment industry in general, which pretty much led to both the writers and actors strikes that happened last year, not to mention a potential animation guild strike that could happen if they don’t get a fair deal, but considering how corporations view animators it wouldn’t surprise me if we will see that strike happen. And I think this goes to show how we really need to support the people behind our favorite animated projects, because at the very least it will be a way to support them and hope they get a better future.

With Pete Docter succeeding Lasseter as Pixar's Chief Creative Officer (CCO), one can only hope that the company's employees will eventually become fully unionized.

When it comes to the issue that been going on at the animation industry right now, I really hope there is some changes so this practice can stop as seen on toxic productions on movies such as Sausage Party and Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse had happened. I can still like to even love those movies to this day but this toxic environment that hurts the animators has to end at some point. It a serious matter that should be discussion right now.

Ahhhhhh perfect subject regarding recent history and the value of animators.

I’ve definitely been anticipated for your next History video since you first announced and you definitely did not disappoint. With this one, you’re really starting to improve more not only as a historian but as a video maker as well. And I do hope more animation studios do start to get more unionized and take what happened during the productions of Sausage Party and Across the Spider-Verse and try to put in some effort to make sure none of their animators are mistreated or overworked or uncredited after quitting due to the toxic business practices from the producers.

I must say, this got me at the edge of my seat. (Not sure if I should be offended by one who still uses Twitter though. I Can't Help it If I Love Looking at Fan Art of Cartoons) Anyway, It is a shame that animators and creators, etc.. are getting the worst treatment in the sakes of Hollywood. I could say that is a problem with people in general. Seriously It's Always About the Money! Never the Passion! Although nothing to do with movies, we had the same problem at our job places in PA. My family worked in housekeeping and had the same issue with our workplace we were cutting our budgets and basically, the amount we made was "Gas Money" while the higher-ups like managers and head chefs got more. This is why some of the workers were being laid off, going on strike, (Or how we handled it) Quitting on bad terms! Even If ever dreamed of working in the industry, this has turned it all into a nightmare to the point I'm just afraid to be treated badly as much as those folks did with what you described with the crew of the movie or with Lord and Miller. It is certainly to know I've always given my support for the animators especially those who work in studios like Disney TVA for example. At times feel like they're underappreciated with their hit shows and now some of the productions are under hot water since some of them are at risk of being canceled in less than one season like The Ghost & Molly McGee, Hailey's On It, or even something upcoming like Primos! All this is to say we all need support in our lives, to show that we've given more to the industry than just making silly cartoons, Embracing them, motivating them, or even showing some inspiration to have some ideas in their lifetime. Life is too short to be treated badly, so why continue with that and give it all a chance to show passion for the art than just the money?

I would like to say this was my first ever R16 movie I seen and even though it was shocking to hear 3d characters swear it was also clever. Now I hope the prime series would be okay.

The sad fact is, this is a problem with animation all over the world. I'm surprised you didn't even hint about the hell that is the anine industry. Especially with MAPPA.

Same on the Twitter comment, since I still have good friends there, and for some reason, it won’t let me delete my account.
