Update Blog - 5/6/23 (Patreon)

I can say with confidence that this was a much better week than last time. Not to say that it was terrible, but this new month really felt  like a real fresh start. AL: The Muppets Part 5 is now released and I can put myself back on track and move forward with the next batch of upcoming videos. It was also the time I finished some unique big projects and now I'm back to making some of my regular works like reviews. It's pretty much back to normal for me...with a few significant changes.

- Released my review of Peter Pan & Wendy: Well...that sure was a Disney live-action remake, alright...Seriously, this came out as you'd expect from the DLAR standards (might as well use the acronym if I'll keep bringing up the term). I was honestly surprised that critics are a little more positive with this one, but for me, this really isn't anything special and some of the new spins (especially with Captain Hook) were already done before in other DLARs. I'll give it that there are some positives like the acting from some of the people like Peter Pan, Tinkerbell and Tiger Lily were pretty good, the soundtrack is the biggest player in giving the scenes life, and I like the updates on Tiger Lily and the Lost Boys, but everything else makes the movie forgettable. And that's the worst thing you can be as a Peter Pan adaptation because then this will quickly disappear in the sea of all the other adaptations. It's not the worst version of the story and it's not the worst DLAR, but even now, this is not leaving as much impact as the upcoming Little Mermaid remake.

- Finished my next Special Vlog: I was able to put the finishing touches of what I needed to do for the vlog and edit it all together. Now the work I need to do for that one is finally complete. I don't know if this will be something that people will be interested in checking out or if the Algorithm will throw this away, but for reasons that I will explain later, I am very much happy with the work I've done for this and it was something that I've planned for months to accomplish. If anything, it's something I'll benefit in the long run. Then again, to give you a small idea of what it could be, this is actually a sequel to a video I've done a few years back. However, this one has a little extra twist that will present another little vlog adventure like my Walt Disney World video. This will be coming soon later this month, so stay tuned for a fun little special.

- Starting the next ACR: After doing a couple of unique vlog videos, I came back to working on what I'm more familiar with. Pretty soon, I'll need to load up the next batch of ACRs for the summer, and this week I went to start the one that will be coming out in June. I can't say what it is now, but considering the one for Ernest & Celestine will be out very soon, you'll find out soon enough about what it is. What I can say though is that this is not a popular feature, yet it was released quite recently. The one thing that it does have going for it is that it did have a bit of an interesting history and it was almost made by Sony Pictures Animation. I'm currently putting the finishing touches on this one, but again, you'll find out soon what I'm talking about.

And that is my week of putting things back to normal. I've returned to releasing videos as planned and I'm back to making the regular videos I'm known for. After that hectic month I went through, it feels great to be back in this nice familiar territory. I haven't felt this good about myself and what I'm doing since my Disney World trip. Now I can confidently say that there's a lot more awesome stuff coming up, so until next time...

See ya later, dudes!
