I'll confess that this was a pretty topsy-turvy week for me. There were some parts where I already had several plans scheduled such as streams on Twitch and other events outside of content creating, but I didn't have an idea of what to do with the rest. I was at that weird point where I didn't have a project prepared to work on, so I picked something to do and rolled with it. While I may not have felt prepared, I did at least made some progress on some upcoming videos and took more time to make sure they can be the best before taking the next steps. It'll be a more miscellaneous blog, but here's what my week looked like.

- Released the AniMat Watches of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey: Throughout the year, I've heard so many stories about how bad this movie turned out to be after all the hype it had last year. I honestly knew that making an AniMat Watches of this would be inevitable, but I was waiting for the right moment to do so. And what better time to check out this horror movie than around the Halloween season. Now that I've finally watched it myself...Yea, now I get the distaste for it. Not only   is this a completely bland slasher movie when you take away the whole Winnie the Pooh theme that has little importance to the plot, but the effects are laughably bad. This almost looks like it shares the same budget and quality as my videos. The only time it ever got enjoyable was when Pooh was taking down the middle-aged guys in crazy ways like chopping someone's face off with his hand. And yet, because it had so much attention and hype before its release, now there's gonna be a sequel and a whole bunch of Disney-themed low budget horror flicks from the same creator. Well...at the very least, I may have some fresh material for more AniMat Watches.

- Created Extra Artwork: While I have created a couple of art commissions last week, there was one whom responded later for their request. What they asked me was to draw some comic book characters that I've admittedly never heard of before. They include Keith Giffen's Trencher and Ambush Bug, along with Blue and Clover from Blue Monday. With how these characters looked and from the pictures that the patron sent me about them, I was able to figure out a funny scenario to have a little narrative going on and have Trencher be the entire background. Hopefully, I was able to stay true to who they are and comic facts won't get upset if the way I present them are off-character.

Also, as an added bonus, this is extra artwork that I did last week. Believe it or not, this year will mark as the 10th anniversary of the Top 10 Other Disney Villains. It's a personal favorite video of mine that marked as the first time I found my own voice as a content creator. Like what I did with the Scariest Disney Moments a few years ago, I decided to create something to commemorate the milestone with an updated version to the original thumbnail I made for Blip. As you are the first to see it, see if you can guess all of the eyes without rewatching the video before I show it to the public on Halloween.

- Writing Animation Lookback: The Muppets Part 8: As I was looking into the schedule for the rest of the year, believe it or not, most of the videos for November and December will be reviews of new releases. I counted and there's about 6 or 7 animated movies whose release dates are all around the Holiday season. In the meantime, before they are officially released, there's only a few videos I could make for the rest of the year while I wait for those new releases. There is one that I'm waiting in the mail for to start it, so my only option left is to return to Animation Lookback: The Muppets. I wasn't expecting to start the production of Part 8 already, so I am going a little slower than usual with writing the script. In fact, I'm still working on it as you are reading this. Then again, it does come with a great advantage where I am taking my time to ensure that I do my research carefully and that the quality of the writing is at its best. I'm not sure how long the video itself will be (it may end up being one of the shorter parts), but it's already looking to be in great shape!

- Streamed AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast with the New Updates: After the work I've done a while back to prepare for all of my future stream, the real test begun on Monday when I tried out the new update to AniMat's Crazy Cartoon Cast. Not only did I change up the whole layout, but it was primarily to try the new focus on quality instead of a consistent schedule to be released every Monday. I'll admit that the first run with this new mindset was not perfect. There were a few things I had to fix afterwards that didn't work as planned during the livestream of the episode. And yet, even with those minor issues, I already felt like it was an improvement compared to the last few episodes and that I'm on the right track to bring that spark back to the podcast. I'll say now that there may not be an episode next week due to not enough news stories to talk about in the show, but I can already feel the podcast becoming stronger and I think everything will work out perfectly the next time I'll be on ;)

- Streamed my 2nd Charity Event: Once again, I teamed up with Gamers Outreach to temporarily bring back AniMat Plays and put up a livestream where I play Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Admittedly, it was a bit more calming than the previous one where I suffered through the first levels of Cuphead and was able to fully complete World 1. One unfortunate side was that I had last-minute minor technical difficulties where my stream did not connect with the charity even, and that the donation bar and the donation alerts refused to show up, which sucked because they would've helped to encourage more people to contribute, but I was able to find a way around it to show the progress we were doing. However, for the charity part of it, we didn't raise as much as last time, but we did collect a total of $500 (half of which admittedly was from me where I'd donate $10 every time I got an Elephant Fruit).  I mean, the fact that me and my community could come together to raise that money to help kids in hospitals is an accomplishment I feel like we should be proud of. Some good did come out of it. By the way, even though the stream is over, it's technically not too late to donate to Gamers Outreach. If you'd like to help give some joy to kids in hospitals, then click here to make a donation.

And that was my week of streams, art and unexpectedly starting a new big project. Even with some plans, I was not as well organized as I usually am. Still, I was able to make some progress on some videos and I raised money to charity, so it didn't turn out bad at all. However, with Halloween coming up, I'll be more prepared with my plans and now that I got a video in progress. It'll help me a lot with knowing what to do with my time. Have a great Halloween, and until next time...

See ya later, dudes!

I’m not familiar with the comics, myself, but that does look great, Mat. Admittedly, I was close on my guess of the Scariest Disney Moments for the 10th anniversary. That Scariest Villains pic looks awesome! Glad you had a good week, dude!

By the way, Mat, where are the thumbnails for those? YouTube seems to have set them to random screenshots.
