I think it’s better if they start from the beginning, with the older music videos, and then move on little by little instead of diving straight into the newer ones. That way, they can follow their development more easily, like we experienced.

On top of my vote, I say do a hybrid approach. Anything new, watch it ASAP and in parallel watch old stuff in chronological order. Stuff like BTS RUN! (their variety show) and Bon Voyage. Since there’s less Bon Voyages and it’s travel based, I’d go Bon Voyages in chronological order in parallel with new stuff. When BTS RUN comes out, watch the new stuff as it comes out. Can’t wait to watch you guys on this journey! And love the genuine interest and effort to learn 💜

It makes sense to start with BTS: The Return on Netflix, especially since you’ve already been listening to the album. You’ll get to see the behind-the-scenes process, and more of their group dynamics and relationship with one another. The other documentaries are tied to their previous world tours, so I think it would be better to react to their earlier music first before watching those. Man 6 minutes and already 56 comments, armys never disappoint lmao. I've watched every single documentary, I 100% right now recommend The Return. The others are about their tours, the making of the tours, the prep, pressures of it, and they are amazing! But I recommend you watch those later. But The Return is how they come back to BTS and go back to making music, it was really insightful.

The return documentary is their newest one that came out last month, that's the documentary we keep commenting, so yes, please react to that first, then dive into their music and everything else in order. The other documentaries are basically them during their other tours, so the return being the newest one, that would be a good one for you guys to start with and then everything else in order💜Also, when you do react to the return documentary, please use the English subtitles and not the English cc, it's incorrect translation if you use English cc💜

I am all for "the return" as far as movie-like documentaries go. I would guess the best option for you in the long term is the fan-made "Rise of Bangtan" on YouTube. It is a series that I can pretty much guarantee the majority of people will say is the most comprehensive of their journey.

I feel like they should only properly get into BTS Run and Bon Voyage once they have done a good portion of BTS’ discography and solo work/chapter two albums, I often see army’s recommending these two iconic variety shows very early on in ppl’s journey which I understand because it’s fun for us to view reactors see it for the first time, but I think they’re genuinely so much more exciting to watch when you have a fuller grasp of bts’ music and past. Tho I’d be happy for them to check out individual Run bts episodes here and there (such as the flying yoga episode or the zombie one xD)

I agree. I like other groups, but they barely touched the surface with just BTS and adding more groups onto BTS would be a lot to take in. Not saying they can't do more groups in the future, it just seems too soon to be thinking about another group.

Also I’m not sure if you guys saw it, but Lizzy made a really great suggestion on Discord about the schedule that I think could work really well. She basically said that while BTS is the main focus right now, it might be nice to have one dedicated slot each week for something outside of BTS just to introduce something new without taking away from the deep dive. As an ARMY, I’d honestly be totally satisfied even with just BTS content, but I do think this would be a really fair balance for the whole community. Like if you’re doing 3 uploads a week, 2 could stay BTS-focused and 1 could be a poll for something else. That way you can still fully focus on BTS while also branching out a little, whether that’s another group, a performance, or even idol actors from dramas you’ve watched. I just think it would be a nice way to keep the main focus clear while still giving everyone a little variety and helping expand your k-pop journey naturally!

I’m happy with any BTS content. I just hope y’all consider Bon voyage it’s a short show it’s fun and you can see more of their real personalities. It’s really fun and wholesome. Also if y’all do incorporate another group maybe each week those groups have a day where you do more than one vid. Like BTS fridays you can do a video with MV/ dance practice/ live performance in one video while also posting a variety show like an episode of Bon voyage or run bts so you’re getting a bit of everything from that group. So like maybe y’all can make another poll for 2 other groups to fill Monday and Wednesday. That way it can still be some variety in groups and you focus on these 3 groups for a while

I guess they'll have to gauge interest. By casting a wide net they may lose monthly subscribers as each fanbase may not feel adequate amount of videos are being released, and many BTS fans are not multistans, at least not to the point where they would PAY for those reactions to other groups. I personally only pay for BTS content, and if I feel like there are not enough BTS videos per week, I'll still support, but it will be maybe every couple of months rather than monthly.

Hi guys! Thank you for all the BTS content you've been reacting to! If you wanna go into their content, there's a LOT tbh. Sorry for the long message in advance! First i think "The Reunion documentary" would be nice as it is recent after their comeback and since it talks about the making process of Arirang, an album you're already familiar with, i believe it'd be a fun watch for you. My advice for other BTS documentaries and movies is to go in a chronological order. I also recommend listening to more of their music, maybe full album (or few songs each video) listening from each era followed by their solo albums during military service, u can see their growth and styles like that and enjoy a good amount of their music especially with the amount of new content we're getting now! And the concerts coming up... Don't want you to feel overwhelmed honestly. Also, BTS released many interesting interviews recently If you wanna check. I'd love for you to get to know them better and I believe the best way for that is their personal shows like Bon voyage (4 seasons), in the soop (2 seasons + one with V's actor friends), BTS RUN (which is so fun and is coming back soon with a new season) etc... another advice is that you don't have to rush guys, even we armys can't keep up most of the times and there're always contents ready for us to watch lol, just enjoy the journey comfortably, we'd love to see you have fun freely! As for reacting to other groups, personally I'm only here for BTS, no hate for any other groups ofc and I definitely respect if you wanna get to know other ones. But in that case I'd advise to make separate polls for that cz we don't want it to be unfair to other fans cz of amount of voting! Thank you again!💜

But 2-3 vids per week already made me hesitate in paying monthly, as other Patreons I've joined in the past for BTS, had 4-6 vids (and/or ALSO posted different videos to YT). Yeah, I know they want to watch other groups, and there’s nothing wrong with that it’s their channel. That’s why I don’t like when people try to force them to stick to BTS only. But I also hope that if they decide to watch other groups, they stay fair, because they already make 2–3 videos per week. Logically you should watch BTS the Return as it is part of Arirang promotions and you will understand what songs they are working on. Other documentaries are better left for other time. I would also support checking their other songs and MVs. For the channel’s direction though, you have to choose whether you want to continue with Bangtan journey or do you want to explore everything, whether you want to see music of other groups or kpop lore.

While I don't think people should be forceful, I think bc they're just starting out (with kpop Patreon) and people are in their first month's subscription, it's not a bad thing to be honest why we're here, so they are aware. Of course they may not care about the subs and just want to go on the journey (which, respect!), but it's just facts that most of us are here for BTS reactions. As long as other groups don't cut into whatever our minimum desired content is (and everyone's level of content to support, is different), we'll stick around. I have a general idea of how much content and what type of content I'm willing to pay for, but I'm also taking into consideration entertainment factor and bc I really enjoy these particular reactors, I'm ok with less content from them than I would be from other Patreons I've supported. All we can do is play it by ear, but ultimately people will speak with their wallets, and I think these guys have other things going on as well and don't necessarily need to maximize their Kpop Patreon profits, so they'll probably do what they want anyway. They don't seem like the type to get pushed around.

Example: Mon - BTS new song, mv & performance or mv, dance practice and performance Wed - BTS deep dive content: Rise of Bangtan, Run BTS, interviews etc. Fri - New kpop artist/group decided by poll I'm only a fan of BTS but I enjoy some other artists here and there. But I don't know how much content there is for deep dives for other artists so I don't know if it'll be better to just focus on one and then switch to deep dive in another or just do variations. The fans of those artists would know better.

since you already started with the new album, i think it's best to go with this docunentary first for continuity and context. add the studio notes as well. The documentary will most likely give you some unanswered questions which the studio notes will answer. I started with bts with their other content (run bts, in the soop, bon voyage, documentaries) which got me looking into their personalities more than the music. But when i started with their music, it cemented me being a fan. Their music and their message is just that good. If you're going to go with just bts, react to their songs (in 1 sitting, do lyrics, mv, dance practice and live performance for full experience for 1 song). do this for most if the songs that will be performed in a concert. (hyyh, wings tour, love yourself, etc) and then watch a documentary connected to that specific tour. But for now, concentrate on the new content to get continuity. I'm personally just a bts fan. I tried listening to others but I think I've already been super biased that I can't enjoy other groups anymore. You can check out other groups as well for benchmark, then decide whether you'll explore just bts or kpop. if you leave it to polls, army is just too big, you'll always get bts. But if you do bts, you'll never run out of content to watch. I've seen newer reactors, even after a year covering just bts, they are still not halfway with watching the available content. And that is only on official videos, there are still fan made contents. it's endless. so enjoy the ride guys 😁

I actually appreciate your heads up. It is a bit of reality check considering that just about every video (and ever last several consecutive video), has been BTS. I won't get too attached and will cherish every BTS reaction they do. But if they move on, I will too, and that's just facts. Nothing personal. And if they build up enough BTS videos to subscribe for another month down the line, I'll happily do so, and will probably happily also watch some of the other non BTS groups as well. The return documentary is good, but it's not a good intro to BTS or to kpop so you're going to miss a lot of context regarding the industry. It shows a very small portion of their lives compared to the older documentaries including The Rise of Bangtan. I'm down to watch whatever though.

Gekpop clearly stated from the beginning that their channel would cover a range of content K-pop and pop, multiple artists, multiple styles. As ARMYs who chose to join this community, we understood and accepted that from day one. We are here because we appreciate the creators, their perspectives, and their work not just a single type of reaction. So even when content shifts away from BTS, many of us will stay, and support. That’s called respecting the creators and the direction of their channel. Now, regarding the frustration from other fandoms I do understand where it comes from. When a fandom as large and organized as ARMY participates in polls, the outcome can feel predictable. But that is not unfair behavior it’s simply the result of scale, coordination, and engagement. It reflects how active and invested ARMY is, not a desire to dominate or exclude others. However, I do think there is a constructive way forward. If the goal is to create a space where multiple fandoms feel equally represented, then structuring polls differently for example, separating them by fandom, genre, or theme could allow for more balance. That way, different communities can have their moment without feeling overshadowed. What doesn’t help is turning this into hostility between fandoms. That only creates unnecessary division and completely misses the point of why we’re all here in the first place: music, appreciation, and shared enjoyment of content. At the end of the day, no one is being pushed out. There is space for BTS content and for other artists. There is space for ARMYs and for every other fandom. The only thing that determines the atmosphere of this community is how we choose to interact with each other. So instead of framing ARMY’s behavior as a problem, it might be more productive to recognize it as consistency and focus on building a system where everyone can feel included without turning it into conflict. Respectfully, the documentary doesn’t really focus on the K-pop industry, it’s more about the behind-the-scenes process of making the album and their preparation for their comeback. That’s also why it’s on Netflix for a wider audience. Anyone who’s listened to the album and knows BTS, especially that they just returned from hiatus due to military service, can easily follow it without needing much deeper context. I personally love Rise of Bangtan too, but I’m not sure if they’re ready to dive into a full series with multiple episodes yet. Hopefully they get to it someday though 💜

This is just one of the experiences I had that I am sharing here, I am not hating on anyone or anything or trying to offend any fandom. There was a kpop reaction channel in the past I was subscribed to (I won't name the channel) and they used to only listen to music and one day they decided 'oh let's explore the variety side of Kpop) and people started to suggest stuff and I suggested the Hybe and JYP game caterers for them to watch. And I got so many negative comments from Army's saying, 'no that is not a good place to start thay should watch BTS variety first to get used to show patterns' and crap like that, so much that I had to delete my comment. My initial reaction to that was 'Why are that saying that like Na PD is literally the king of Kpop variety content, it would be the perfect place to start seeing that it includes multiple groups' but then I understood that both JYP and Have game caterers had one thing in common BTS wasn't there. I have been into Kpop for a longgggg time and there is one thing that I started doing after getting such comments, I started to distance myself from Army's, them and Blinks are the fandoms I social distance from. Love the members of each group, love their music and content but I don't mix myself with those fandoms.

I've been seeing a lot of negative comments lately, and I just want to say something. I get it...we all love BTS, and as an ARMY, I also get excited and want more content from them. But some of the comments lately are coming off really demanding, and I think we need to take a step back for a second. This channel didn't start as a K-pop channel. They've already gone out of their way to open themselves up to BTS and K-pop in general, and that's something we should appreciate instead of criticizing. They've also said multiple times that they want to branch out into other groups once they get more familiar, and honestly, that makes the experience feel more real and genuine. As someone who mainly listens to BTS, I'm actually excited to see them explore other groups too. It gives people like me a chance to discover new artists in a comfortable way. It's not about replacing BTS, it's about expanding and appreciating more music. At the end of the day, we're all here because we enjoy the same things. There's no reason to bring negativity into a space that's supposed to be fun. You can love BTS and still respect other artists, and you can support the channel without putting pressure on them. Not only that, there aren't that many opportunities for them to experience the "now" as it's happening (they've already missed out on 13 years of chances). The old content will always be there for them to go back to, but the experience of the new content (experiencing it while it's current), is a rare and fleeting opportunity. Technically this is their first comeback since they started reacting to BTS just before the official comeback activities, and first comebacks are a very special and exciting time for anyone discovering any new kpop group. Skipping out on that just to experience old content which they can do at that capacity at anytime, would be a disservice to their experience as budding fans.

Good point. Other groups, other than brand new ones, have had 3-4 years of opportunity to have people react to their new content. This is BTS' first new content as a group in nearly half a decade. I understand why some ARMY are not being normal about it lol. I feel the same at times. I just want to make up for lost time.

I think the value in The Return is that they are familiar with that era and songs and ultimately it's more about the experience of making this album, than their past. The documentary gives just enough recap (and most of it things they already know, like the hiatus for military service). They even have a recap of their journey, but not enough to spoil anything. I feel like The Return was designed in a way to be a gateway for new fans of Arirang to become curious about checking out other documentaries and content at a later time.

If you want to continue the BTS journey, I would suggest you watch the rise of Bangtan. Although it’s fan made it’s a good documentary which shows their journey in a way you can catch up. Then, burn the stage and others since it’s very much linked to the era, music and concerts.
