I just wanted to share my perspective in a calm and respectful way. I actually agree with the decision to focus on BTS first. From a content and timing standpoint, it makes complete sense. The channel launched around their comeback, which is a major moment not just within K-pop, but in the global music industry. That naturally brings a lot of content, context, and visibility, which is ideal for creators who are just starting to explore reactions. It also allows the reactors to really take the time to understand one group properly instead of jumping from artist to artist too quickly. BTS has a very extensive discography, strong artistic identity, and a significant cultural impact, so taking the time to explore that in depth feels like a solid and logical starting point. At the same time, I don’t think this means the channel will or should stay BTS-only. The creators have already been clear that they want to explore different artists, and that’s something many of us support. But in the beginning, focusing on one group especially during an active comeback period helps build a stronger foundation before expanding. Also, if we look at it from a broader perspective, any fandom would likely feel frustrated if their favorite artist only received one or two reactions before the content moved on. Giving proper attention at the start isn’t favoritism, it’s just a more coherent way to approach discovery. In the end, this feels more like a matter of structure and timing rather than exclusion. There’s clearly room for other artists, but starting with BTS right now just happens to be the most logical step. Love u all.🫶🏼💜

Thank you guys for reacting to this💜I personally don't care if you guys get into other groups. Just a lot of reactors start with BTS and then when they get into other groups, they just throw BTS to the curb, barely react to them, or don't react to them at all. As long as it's balanced and we’re all entertained, who cares how many groups you get into. True BTS is my ults and my favorite, but K-pop is just more than one group, especially to people who are just getting into K-pop wanting to experience different groups, different styles, and different genres. I listen to other groups also, but I stan BTS and ATEEZ. I can't wait for more BTS content though💜

I said this on your last post, but there were so many comments that I wanted to put it here too. Especially because it relates to what you said in the intro ☺️: Lizzy made a really great suggestion on Discord about the schedule that I think could work really well. She basically said that while BTS is the main focus right now, it might be nice to have one dedicated slot each week for something outside of BTS just to introduce something new without taking away from the deep dive. As an ARMY, I’d honestly be totally satisfied even with just BTS content, but I do think this would be a really fair balance for the whole community. Like if you’re doing 3 uploads a week, 2 could stay BTS-focused and 1 could be a poll for something else. That way you can still fully focus on BTS while also branching out a little, whether that’s another group, a performance, or even idol actors from dramas you’ve watched. I just think it would be a nice way to keep the main focus clear while still giving everyone a little variety and helping expand your k-pop journey naturally!

Many BTS ARMYs are not kpop fans in general. I, myself is just a BTS fan, have no interest in other groups. So if there's no BTS, I will be cancelling the subs. lol. There are also multis means they like more than 1 group. Anyways, BTS members are all great, but J-Hope always hits different when he is on his professional mode. The other 6 are always so wary of J-Hope if they did any mistake. lol

I do like this idea. Though, I’ve never followed someone’s journey into kpop from the very beginning so I only have my own experience to base it off, but for me at least, I was only able to focus on one group at a time when I first started out. BTS happened to be the first group. Once I got to know them more officially, I was able to enjoy other groups more equally. I’m not sure what it would be like for them, but that’s my worry. And this isn’t me gatekeeping, but I hope I’m not the only one thinking about this

we don't say we "bias" this group, we just say we "stan" this group. Or if we stan multiple groups and a group is our favourite among them, we say it's our "ult" group. I stan this group but that group is my ult etc. We also just say "favourite group". Similarly, if we bias members in a group or have biases in multiple groups but someone is our most favourite among all of them, we call it "ult bias" "he's my ult" etc. meaning ultimate bias

No, I very much agree. The best way to go about getting into k-pop as a reactor I think is to focus on one group at a time, so you don’t get overwhelmed by all the endless content and requests for other groups. However, I think this is the best and most reasonable solution as they are reactors who promised they wouldn’t be a BTS-only channel. It satisfies the whole audience, yk?

As of now, BTS is the only group I’d be willing to pay to watch other people react to. If you think about the things you enjoy in your life, in terms of music and visual content, how much of that are you yourself willing to pay for to watch other people enjoy it? I don’t think it’s synonymous with whether we enjoy or don’t enjoy other groups. The reason being that there’s a difference between simply liking the music and content of other groups, and wanting to relive the experience of discovering something that was very meaningful to you. I just wanna say this because there are a handful of K-pop groups that I enjoy even though it was BTS that helped me discover K-pop. I’m very thankful to them as a whole for being able to enjoy this vast and rich world of K-pop. But there is no single other group that is impactful enough to me even though I like them, that I’d be willing to pay for reaction content. In fact, before BTS, there was literally nothing else that I consumed that I’d be willing to pay for reactions. For me, it’s more about seeing someone’s overall journey in discovering BTS, even more so than just the content itself. A lot of it, of course, has to do with BTS, but it also has to do with the quality and just sheer volume of content and the variety of content, and their story/history overall. For me, it’s the excitement and feeling that I’m settling in for a ride. That’s why just seeing someone dabble here and there watching a music video for other groups and even just for BTS, doesn’t have as much interest for me as the idea of someone diving all in.

Seventeen are very involved in their music, but they weren’t the first fully self-producing K-pop group. Also, not all members are involved in writing, composing, and choreography, and the part about making their own MV on laptops is a bit exaggerated. They’re still impressive though.🙂

I feel like BTS is giving something to everyone, this era. This one right here is for the old-school "boycrush" kpop fans. iykyk. This is different for them with the special fx and feels more like a traditional kpop boy group mv (but with more budget and art direction...and more grown n sexy). I like it bc it shows they're always evolving and paying attention. Also, Jimin with tummy out is definitely a throwback. Jimin's abs used to be BTS' 8th member back in the day. I swear they always roll Jimin out when they want to kill us with close up beauty shots and facecard. Only he can make head-to-toe leather with belly out, look elegant. J Hope is definitely the MVP on a strong team, in this one IMO. He just brings so much swag. Glad he was first on here bc he set the tone, like he did in Mic Drop.

For me, BTS are the only group I really follow. It’s not that I don’t like other groups — I can enjoy their music — but there’s a difference between casually liking something and truly connecting with a group. With BTS, it feels like there’s so much to dive into: their story, growth, discography, personalities, and the variety of content they’ve built over the years. That’s what makes the experience meaningful for me. I also personally find it more interesting when someone really dives into one group instead of jumping between many. Watching someone discover BTS step by step, understand their journey, and go deeper into their content is more exciting than just seeing a few songs here and there. Of course everyone can enjoy things differently, and it’s totally okay to follow multiple groups. For me though, BTS are the ones I connect with the most, and I just hope you explore them a bit more before starting a new group.

I think the main issue here is that some people are trying to impose one way of being a fan onto everyone, when in reality there is no rule that says you have to stan multiple groups. In K-pop, a lot of fandoms are multi-stan, and that’s perfectly fine. But that doesn’t make it a standard that everyone has to follow. ARMY works differently, and there’s a reason for that. For many of us, BTS alone already provides everything we’re looking for musically, emotionally, artistically. Their discography is extensive, their storytelling is deep, and the connection people feel with them is very strong. So naturally, a lot of fans don’t feel the need to look elsewhere. And this isn’t coming from a place of ignorance or refusal. Speaking for myself, I’ve already explored other groups, I’ve listened, I’ve tried to see if I could feel the same connection and it simply wasn’t the same. And a lot of ARMYs share that experience. So it’s not about “not giving others a chance,” it’s about the fact that the connection we have with BTS already fulfills everything. That’s why being BTS-only isn’t something negative or something that needs to be questioned. It’s just a different way of engaging one based on depth rather than variety. Also, if a large part of a fandom naturally ends up being focused on one group, it’s probably not random. There’s a reason behind that. At the end of the day, people should be free to enjoy music however they want. Some prefer variety, others prefer a deeper connection with one artist. So instead of trying to push ARMYs to stan multiple groups, it would make more sense to just respect that different fans connect differently and that for many of us, BTS is more than enough. And honestly, that’s also what makes BTS and ARMY so strong today. That level of focus and connection is a big part of why the fandom is so powerful and consistent. Of course, like in any large community, there are always some toxic individuals that’s unavoidable, just like in football or any massive fanbase. But the bigger the fandom, the more visible those few people become. That doesn’t define the whole community. And finally, ARMY has always had a strong sense of protectiveness toward the members and that doesn’t come from nowhere. It comes from years of connection, trust, and everything BTS has shared with us. So that loyalty and protectiveness are not excessive or irrational, they’re the natural result of that bond. RM has around 230,suga around 160 and jhope around 148, suga is their main producer and has 3 MAMA and one mma as producer for others, plus hobi is streetdancer, suga and rm are underground rappers, suga started as a producer. Plus every member of BTS has released solo albums with self written and self produced songs and almost all their solo and group albums have almost every member contributing. So, 17 is not the first or only fully producing group as BTS members,similar to 17 members have gradually been producing and composing more. BUT , they are among the groups to have very high creative input in their music,be it be songs or choreo with Hoshi being one of the best dancers out there. For me, it's only BTS, because they found me when I was having the worst time of my life, and I made it thanks to them, not only their music, but everything they stand for. I can't change that because their music is still a reminder of where I was once, where they got me out of, and where I don't want to go back; that's the message for me. i listen to other music outside BTS as well but i always back to my homies, bangtan, their music and lyrics mean so much to me, so do their personality and humour. I agree that some other groups also have humble beginnings and inspiring stories. But I don’t think it applies to literally every group. The industry is very different depending on the company, promotion, and circumstances. Some groups definitely built their name from the ground up, but others debuted with much more support, visibility, or resources. That doesn’t make them less talented, just a different starting point. My point wasn’t that BTS are the only ones with struggles, just that their specific journey and the way many of us followed it created a strong personal connection. A lot of ARMYs here aren’t saying “only BTS forever.” Many are simply asking for them to actually get to know BTS before moving on. In terms of biasing: if you don’t have a favorite within a group/you just love them even if you DO have a bias, it’s referred to as being OT# (however many members are in the group) - for BTS it would be OT7. You will find as you delve deeper into Kpop that some fans will change that number to represent how many members of the group they actually like/want in the group. It’s unfortunately not only possible but pretty common for fans to love one member and absolutely hate another. I’m an ARMY, so I don’t speak for other fandoms, but I’m sure many would agree for their artists as well when I say that kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable in true ARMY circles. OT7 is the expectation, even if you have a bias. If you have a favorite group/artist over other groups/artists, they’re referred to as your ult(s), aka ultimate(s). Having an ult doesn’t mean you don’t listen to or enjoy anyone else, you just have priorities. For example, in the reaction community, I watch a lot of videos from a lot of channels but my ults are you guys :D
